That pink and white/blue burst are some of the coolest colors I’ve seen in a while. 😮

So thoughtful of them to create the end all be all Jazzmaster pickup and then only have it available in a specific custom shop guitar you can only get in one place 😅

That purple one is pretty dope. And of course it already sold! I also have a 1961 jazzmaster and the pickups are really something special. I would say my 61 sounds close to these but just a bit warmer.

You want the neck to be hotter than the bridge? Isn't that the opposite of what you want given the neck position is inherently a bit louder than the bridge position?

Neither is quite right. Taking the pups out of the picture, the neck position is the loudest zone of the guitar bcs that's where the greatest string amplitude is - also whete the fullest range of tonal frequencies is. It's easy to confuse 'loudness' with projection since treble projects/reaches your ears before mid-bass frequencies. The strings are at their most taught/lowest amplitude at the bridge where they're anchored and so they project the treble end of the frequencies, but at lower comparative volune. This is why bridge pickups are traditionally wired hotter - to balance the natural volume being... um... well... picked up and transmitted as signal by the neck pickup. Of course, this can all be bent to preference by adjusting respective pup & individ polepiece heights. But yeah, that wanting "the neck pup to be hotter" just don't make no sense.

A very cool arrangement of Silly Thing by the Sex Pistols. I like it.

Weird seeing a custom shop offset without the R&D bridge 😅

Uhm, and the rhythm circuit on a jazzmaster works pretty great for…wait for it…jazz. Lol. No one ever mentions that…🤷‍♂️
