I cut the grass with A pair of scissors one time to prove A point but that truck did the same thing just with way more flare and in more than half the time lol.. 2 acres scissors and 4hrs. My best time lol...
David Hall it is still in one piece and it finally got up to 18 PSI and made 830 to the wheels... It is currently turn down to 16 pounds and make 777. And I drive it every chance I get running like a champ.
Cool little ute... I don't understand how 700 wheel hp equates to low 120's over the line. It's fairy light too. My car is a similar weight and prob 200hp less at the wheels but am over 2 seconds quicker and about 10mph faster- but has the advantage of using a built auto with a big Hi Stall
It doesn't leave! My Nostalgia Super Stocker runs the 12 flat class, 60 foots in the high 1.50's. Runs (uncorked) 11.70's at 113 +/- 2 mph. if you could get it to leave it should run 10.80's at the MPH it's running. Makes for an awesome bracket car. Leaves like a slug then tears your head off about 100 feet out. 122 mph at 11.80...crazy!
everyone is always surprised by the weight but you have to first of all remember thats with me in it (270lbs) and a full tank of gas (now 32 gallons = 224lbs). do the math = truck dry is 3146lbs which isnt bad considering the mazdas are full box frame from the factory and weighed just over 3k to begin with. now it has the equivalent of two 4cyl engines plus two turbos and piping and intercooler, a heavier trans, a very heavy 9" rear end, and lots of cage thats not thin wall. so knowing all that....3146 is excellent!
Actually no. I did a Shoot and dyno research with K&N on purpose. I tried big filters, these filters, and no filters. Did not change 1hp. not at 12 psi, not at 18 psi. Then tried these filters on a 1000whp camaro. same result. Anyone who thinks these are restrictive is just wrong, sorry.
122mph? I'd say he's missing almost 300 if it makes the 700hp to the wheels he claims. That's like mowing without the blades on. Mph doesn't lie. Disappointed after the title. You guys are much better then that usually.
i ran 12.30, 11.81, 11.60, and 11.31 ALL at 122mph. turns out the IAT's were too high in 4th and pulling all the timing out. i didnt gain 1 mph in 4th. i fixed part of this problem and already ran 10.50s at 130mph. with 1 .59 60ft. IAT still high and i am working on a solution. Very east to comment on youtube without knowing and understanding drag race cars. If thats not you and you do know cars then you fully understand my explanation. Thanks.
Jeff Kay what temp do you have them set and how much are you pulling out. You would have to have one fucked up tune to gain nothing. I don't even understand how or why it would be set that high for that to be this big of a problem. Also what kind of fuel are you running. I think you have more going on then just to high of setting on the IAT or your not being 100% on all the info.
gmaxsc I don't know why there is such a misconception that the Mazda truck is so light. Maybe because people compare it to other mini trucks from the 80s and 90s but the Mazda has always been much stronger than the others because it came with a box a chassis from the factory and was already 3100 pounds so the fact that I took out a light interior and added a heavy cage took out one engine and put in a heavier one took out a transmission and put in a heavier one took out a rear end and put in a heavier one took off the factory wheels and tires and put on heavier ones and just cut out some sheet metal to make it all fit and somehow it still weighs close to what it did from the factory. To me it's surprising it's not heavier. LOL
