  • I repot two Zygopetalums that I recently purchased from bark to moss.

    I think you did a perfect job repotting in moss; not too tightly pushed in and you even put some in the core area😌👍💖And your moss was properly moist before using😌I wish you a good growing season🤲🌟

    as a person who has repotted a lot of zygos, touch the roots as little as possible. I try not to touch them at all, I remove any loose media with water, the oils on my skin actually burn the velamen and the roots die. You may want to try to get that first one a bit deeper in the pot, the base of the new growth should be just below the top of the media.

      I will probably have to take it out of the pot. Do you think it is worth touching the roots again to get it deeper in the pot?

      @@SpencerAloysius just don't touch the roots when you do it. You can either pull it from the pot and take some moss away to get it lower in the pot or just press it in. IME, it doesn't matter if you compact the moss with them.

      @@michaelmccarthy4077 I went with pushing it a little deeper into the pot. Hopefully it is enough.
