Hell yeah man.. I have a 21 Ram stock with some BFG KM3's and a big champion of most trucks dont need crazy mods to off road. I remember when I was a kid, my dad had an 84 Blazer with the Diesel engine that only needed to lock the hubs in the front, we pulled all sorts of jacked up trucks off trails. Then his 94 F25 than stomped the trails, bone stock with good tires. All about knowing when too big is too big for your vehicle! This all was in Colorado too! Love the video!
Thanks! The Ram is really a beast off-road! Honestly, one of the best off-road trucks we've ever owned!
Awesome truck 🔥🙌 Rams are incredibly capable stock.
You definitely enjoying your truck bud...cool video
Thanks!
#1 upgrad
e is bumpers.... then tires and lift/leveling.
Ours came with the nice tires so we didnt have to upgrade those. We added the lift first because it was way too low stock. Bumpers are expensive so we never did those.
Seems pretty capable.
It was a very capable truck and never let us down. We'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a full sized truck that is great off road.
Nice video! What type of lift did you use for the 1.5"? Thinking of doing the same with my Ram
We use the rough country 2" lift. It settled after a month or so to a 1.5". They now offer a 2.5" that will settle closer to a 2". Here is the link for the 2"

Cool truck, great video. What engine do you have?
5.7 hemi
Wow and this is stock!
I did a 2.5” levelling on mine with Rancho RS 9000 XL and I’m thinking about getting a set of 35s 11.5” on it. I got 2017 1500 Big Horn.
I’m not sure if Tundra, F150, Sierra or Titan can do this with stock 17” rims.
And on top of everything it beats all of these trucks in ride quality too.
Rams are amazing trucks!
I agree.
Like I said before I don’t know how many times I heard someone saying “my mechanic told me to stay away from Ram trucks” but the most trucks you see on the road in Canada and US are Ram trucks. I wonder why?
Is that stock height?
Half of the footage is stock and half has a 1.5" lift. All is with stock tire size.
Yes, Ram pickups are so adorable, especially when the heating and ventilation's duct work stops working properly. 🤯🤯🤯
10 years old and almost 200K no issues.
@@TheSavage3.6 nice for you, those u-joints are either dry and ready to go or you have greaseable ones. Better check.
What that clunking sound mable? Nothing at all important Tyler, it just noise in your noggin.
Hoses, belts ect.
Honesty, check it!
Merry Christmas!
Happy New tears!!!
@@ellerybice3787 Did you forget to take your meds?
@@TheSavage3.6 No Tyler, No medications permitted or necessary in a healthy man's life. Though I do get a high from adrenaline administered through a vigorous application of outdoor adventure and muscle tiring activities.
And you? What psychedelics for you?
I love these characters who usually have a “mechanic” who told them to stay away from Ram pickups and always recommend GMS or Chevys.
I don’t know how many times I heard this story.
This is probably why the most trucks you’ll see on the road are Rams.
In fact I can comfortably say that GM trucks are shit. They have electrical problems, transmission problems, sensor problems, brake problems…
F150 and their “famous” eco boost timing bomb engine, transmission problems and when you really test these engines that claim they can pull more than the HEMI, all kinds of sensor lights start coming up.
U-joint? To replace a U-joint costs few hundred and to replace a transmission, few thousand.
To repair heating-cooling in Ram you have to take the dash off…ok and you don’t have to do the same in other trucks? Weak argument.
All stock..?
Stock for about half of these clips. Others are with a 1.5" lift.
Did you have a locking rear diff?
Nope. Just limited slip
@@legendarytrails Kind of goes to show how unnecessary the off road package is for a lot people. Definitely nice to have the locker , skid plates, and better shocks but even without it you can take the truck more places than most people ever will.
@josephsantana3094 true!
Did the stock Ram come with rear lock diff?
It has a limited slip.
@@legendarytrails I see. Your video did not come with climbing up the trails. Did the truck do it when you drove it? BTW, I like the 2.5 lift and the terrain tires upgrade you did.
@blezzedsoul3549 Ram did great climbing up a lot of trails. We got lucky when we bought it used since it came with better tires. Lift was a super easy weekend project. Definitely made all the difference off road.
I am glad you did a great job on making it through. What difficulty is this trail?
@blezzedsoul3549 this is a mix of trails we did. The hardest trail is the one coming out of Eagle Canyon in the San Rafael Swell - it was rated a black. It was narrow and very rocky.
Factory low hanging bumpers are probably the number one problem. They make the approach angle awful for offroading. Look at the new trail boss, it's a joke. At least RAM got it right with the Rebel with the high clearance front bumper.
