Thats nice. You need to shorten the jin. It's too tall and thick and it makes the tree look very juvenile and man handeled. Also, try to break it apart at the top to give a more natural look to it. You can also use a lighter to burn it to simulate the lightning strike. That is the reason very tall conifers have a naked trunk top like that and in bonsai we call it a jin.
Yes, you're right, thanks for the advice! To give it an older look, I should shorten the apex jin and I think I'll do that. Anyway, this is a very young tree and both the apex jin and the lower one will likely disintegrate in a few years. Once the tree reaches more maturity, I'll need to recreate the jins with new branches, as older wood lasts longer
@TenzoBonsai You kinda need to use older trees. These young trees are tricky as they are not yet in a stage that allows this type of a turnaround. Also, it's mandatory to use jin solution in order to prevent the wood from disintegrating. But overall, it's a qute little tree. I am not a fan of using organic material as a pot and you will learn in why in time. Kudos!
Yes, I always use jin liquid (I didn't show it in this video, but I did in the others), and I'm aware that the pot won't last forever, but it's an experiment I wanted to try. I enjoy working with both younger and older trees, I believe that both offer a sense of fulfillment over time. In this case I want to create a little future bonsai so it's ok that it's a young tiny tree. In the future, we'll see how it performs, but I believe it will bring me a lot of satisfaction! 🌳🌲
Beautiful ! Good job 🤩
Thanks!
Can’t wait to see how it progresses.
Yes, me too! The only thing is that it's the first time I'm using this type of pot, and in summer, I think it will require frequent watering
Nice bonsai ,thank you for sharing im here to support good luck Mr
Thanks!
Nice work, I like it.

No movement in the trunk?
Yes, one could add some movement to it by using a thick wire. However, I wanted to give this tree a formal upright style
