Creating an 'Instant' Bonsai Tree

  • In a world that demands an ever-increasing level of instant gratification, bonsai seem to provide an antidote. Time and the seasons can't be sped up, and so patience is learned.
An 'instant' bonsai seems to be somewhat of an oxymoron, but bonsai from untrained material can be created in a very short space of time. As rewarding as it is to invest years into a tree, there is still an undeniable satisfaction gleaned from an occasional faster transformation, but that is always just the beginning of the journey!
I’m truly grateful for the response to the videos I’ve uploaded so far, and I’m working as fast as I can to keep producing them. Thank you for the patience and support. I am of course limited by nature and the seasons (and a bit of perfectionism too) but rest assured there are plenty more on the way. If you'd like to help out please consider supporting my Patreon:

In my part of the world, junipers grow wild just like this. The harsh conditions, prevailing winds, and lack of rainfall keep them small, and every single one of them looks like they have centuries worth of stories to tell.

These videos take so long to shoot and edit. Much like the process of Bonsai. But if you take your time to do every step perfectly you end up with a perfect product. These videos are just gold.
