They weren't in any way tolerant of my opinions and after 20 years decided to ostracize me from the group completely. People stopped talking to me. Initially it was quite upsetting but I now understand what I was going through. The left is incapable of discourse and have a much larger capacity to be cold and callous. I started hanging out with a more likeminded, conservative group of people and they've been insanely welcoming, it's almost like I have friends for the first time in my life, and it's how people should treat each other. When I was hanging out with the lefties, it was constant arguing and fighting and drama and debauchery. I NEVER looked back.
How would your likeminded, conservative group handle a person in their group that all of a sudden had far-left opinions. Do you really think they would be any more tolerant? They would not. The automatic bias from the left for everything he says is why I started listening to him and reading his books. I agree with 99.9% of what he says. There were times at the beginning of his work with Daily Wire when I disagreed more with his tone than what he was trying to say, but I feel like his work with them has evolved and is more generous and magnanimous and diplomatic which I enjoy more. When he is communicating as a healer I find him to be one of our most important intellectual leaders. @@macmac1022 i would say that there still has to be a conscious decision made at some point for that person to avoid certain challenges to their beliefs, and that becomes a core memory that they will be consciously aware of while having their beliefs challenged. i dont think memory is the same as subconcious, although its hard to explain why i think that, especially once you start exploring the problems with memory. I think modern psyochology does a poor job differentiating between memory and subconcious, and often conflates the two as one of the same..

While I was still confused by my religious childhood indoctrination, an Atheist once shared his personal feelings with me.

About a year ago Ethan deleted that interview completely from the channel and started attacking and making fun of JP. Jordan reached out again over Twitter to try and figure out what happened to a relationship he thought was friendly and Ethan called him names and completely disrespected him.
So, he has talked to one of the most prominent ones. It would be up to Ethan to extend the olive branch this time.

The arrogance of religious people is so unattractive. I respect Jordan Peterson for many reasons, but every time the topic of conversation shifts to religion, he sounds incoherent and pretentious.
That sounds a little bit like a “you” problem in that you start with the assumption that religious people have this unattractive quality of arrogance. People can be arrogant or humble on any issue. I know many humble religious people because their goal is not to convince others but instead to live in accordance with their beliefs.

The church feels entitled to tell people how to live their lives, inject themselves into the public school system in order to indoctrinate children, inform the government what should or shouldn't be legal (gay rights). So, yes, I may be biased when it comes to my view of religious people. BTW I live in Poland.
