Michael, I want to THANK YOU for inspiring me and my husband. We don't have any kids so for Christmas we took the money we would have spent on eachother and helped some of the homeless people in our area. We ordered from Amazon, Walmart, and Temu. I spent days scouting for deals to get the most for our money so we could help as many people as possible. I checked wishlists on your channel and other channels like Pete's Promise. So we ended up giving out 18 full brand new backpacks set up with hygiene and food packs like yours, as well as wipes, gloves, beanies, fleece neck gaiters, socks, body warmers, and a blanket. We gave out all 18 full backpacks, 50 pair of warm socks, 100 body warmers, and 30 queen size blankets that were a wool cotton blend that's water resistant and mold & mildew resistant. We did 25 food bags filled with protein (PB and jelly, vienna sausages, big tuna pouches, and the flip top cans of chicken) enough bread to make 2 sandwiches, crackers, 2 bags of chips, extra various snacks, and some sweets of some kind (jello, cookies, pudding, or homemade Christmas sweets like reece's style chocolate peanut butter balls, and fudge). We were also able to help a young couple with a tent. We scouted out a place where people are allowed to set up tents safely and for free. It's private church property so there's no worries about them getting moved by the police or city workers. We made a RUclips channel called: compassionfromjesus
to show what we are doing and what we are giving out to people. Hopefully one day we can hopefully get donations that will allow us to do this on a full time daily basis. We don't have a video yet. I'm working on filming on my phone so we can have an introduction video and a video of what I pack and how I pack things. My heart cry is helping people in need. It is so heavy on my heart, and my husband's heart as well. I bought a chest mount camera and memory card online, and filmed everything I gave out before; but the camera malfunctioned so we don't have the footage of giving the things out. Video footage or not, we have warmer people in our area during this bad weather. That does my heart good! I'm figuring out a filming set up with my phone while I work on gathering more things to give out. I'm also researching a good camera set up. We will focus on a couple of people at a time for now, until we get some kind of help to expand to helping more people. We are following your example from watching all of your videos. You're such an inspiration! Thank you for the encouragement to start helping. It's all about a passion for helping people, loving others, showing the compassion of Christ, and having basic human kindness for our neighbors in need. We can make a difference one person at a time. I'm learning filming and editing by doing it. Kind of the crash course of figuring it out as I go. But I've learned if you want something bad enough then you make it happen so that's what we are doing. We want change to better other's lives. So we become apart of making the change by loving and helping how we can and where we can. 💞

@@goodnessinpeople I was born in Tucson AZ in 66 at St. Mary's hospital. But I was raised in upstate NY. I moved back to Tucson at 18, when I was 7-8 we moved back because my father's side of the family is big and I have a lot of family their but it wasn't good for most of the family owed bars and they all drank all day and my dad fell into that so my mom put her foot down and said she won't be raising my little sister and I like that and my dad moved us back to Rochester NY were he was raised. His father moved down to Tucson right by the airport and Rez Nogales highway area but that's when there was no house's really there on Glendale Dr. 4 brothers 2 sisters and his house was the first one to be built. When I went back like I said at 18 it wasn't a good neighborhood that I remembered and I got into everything lived in Littletown by the triple T truck stop when it was rather new but drugs and alcohol were rampant and I got into it but I left before I was homeless. I seen it coming and it scared me and my family was difficult to deal with and I'm 60 now and I don't have any family here in Upstate NY beautiful country area I live in the woods and peace and quiet. But it hurts me since my parents passed recently I don't hear from them even the one's who never did drugs or alcohol. I don't understand why but it hurts. I do have a friend in 3 points and family only talk to my friend who is 10 years older than me and a daily drinker and I know love's me like a family should. I want to go see him so much been 40+ years and he still stays in touch with me. I'd love to move back but I'm scared to just because I've been clean since 94 and I don't think I could be strong enough to be back around the people who I do know that still asks my friend about me. Benson highway was drug infested and I hear it's worse. I'm disabled lonely and I really want to see my best friend. He was the one who said brother get out before you can't. So I left and ended up in Michigan and had a son raised him by myself he's 27 now and works house paid off but I don't hear anything from him and I raised him without being around drugs or alcohol put him through college never argued just the typical stupid stuff never put a hand on him we talked about whatever may have been a issue and never ever had that issue again. And when I first noticed that you were in Tucson and it's changed a lot from what I have seen at the areas you are helping I remember that and I just cried like now I'm teared up and I'm sure I probably know some of the people who were just little kids that grew up in a drug dealers house and they are on the streets. I would love to be able to come and help you and share my story with them and just show them your loved and can change. But their the only ones who can do it. I'm sure that you have helped my families kid's I've never met I'm sure of that so that's why I say thank you for everything you do. I'd love to say my name my last name is well known in the area you go to. Ok I'm sorry for the late long message it's 1:05 am here and I believe that you're 2 hours behind my time until March 8th back East we turn our clocks back in fall a hour and a hour back ahead in the spring. That really messes with a person now it gets dark by 4:30-5 pm and sun comes up at 7-7:30. But in the summer sun's out by 6 am and down almost at 9 pm and it's nice. Must be such a rough life on the streets. I feel bad for the younger people on the streets, but I feel worse for the older ones. Some of them I think choose to be on the streets. In my early 20s after my dad died I was on the streets for a few weeks and I am disabled. You can get off of them if you try hard enough. Drugs are such a big problem these days so I know there’s a big difference. You’re so kind, Mike. 🙏🙏 for you and your neighbors. I heard that Arizona was the only state that did not get hit by the Arctic blast? It looks like blue skies. I went without water for five days, but I had a couple 55 gallon water barrels in my closets. 1 got used and they were in there for eight years. But anyway, every time I went out to my deck, I would think of the homeless and pray that they were in a halfway warm place. They are the first thought I have when I go out and smoke a cigarette when cold. Yes, I smoke, but I’m an adult and I know it’s not good for me. But when you give out cigarettes to people, I happen to think, good for you for doing that.
