  • This is a call I had with scammers running fake Norton and Geek Squad protection plan refund scams. They con people by offering a refund for $299 but have you connect to their "Secure
    server which grants them access to your computer or mobile phone. You fill out a refund form where these criminals type extra digits so your refund amount appears to be $2,900 or $29,900 resulting in them asking you to return the difference.
    I on the other hand access their systems and proactively call their victims in an attempt to warn them but some times it's just too late!

      What you do sir is priceless! The only thing more embarrassing to admit than being scammed in this type of scam is admitting being scammed through s extortion. I have emailed you and reached out to you while you are live steaming and not got an answer. I do not know if it is lost in the 3.11 m subscribers, but understand if my plea for help has gone unnoticed. If you do not deal with this type of scam please tell me so, and guide me in the right direction. I humble myself, and am very embarrassed, but whether people judge me or not, I was looking for a possible connection to another human being to fill the emptiness in my life. Yes it was on site that is for hookups, but I was very clear in my profile that while being a sexual adult, I am looking for more, and also do not do hookups. I am replying to other subscribers comments in hopes that they can help me get your attention.

I will say this, a good scammer is like a snowball down a mountain and you can easily get caught up in their spew. The best thing to do is 1) NEVER reply to their email. If, say its from Norton and you have a Norton account, then log out of your email and go directly to your Norton account. If it was them you will see email in that account. If there is nothing on their website, then you know it was a scammer. The old bromide "If its too good to be true it probably is not true," is wise counsel.

    I've been checking in on this channel for a few months now, and in addition to the damage you're doing to scammers and doing what you can to help victims, I just realized there is one powerful, incontrovertible takeaway from all you're doing... and it's an incredibly meaningful one.
    The fact is, you are setting an incredible example... not only for other people who want to help in what you're doing, but I've seen two teens in our neighbourhood who are REALLY looking up to what you're doing and want to do that kind of "superhero" work themselves as soon as they can get good enough with the technology.
    And if that's just two kids in MY neighbourhood, I wonder how many kids around NORTH AMERICA you're setting an astonishingly good example for. Because as we all know, there are a helluva lot of bad examples in media and entertainment some kids want to emulate to varying degrees. But your kind of work here is that kind of "Lone Ranger" good-guy stuff that made such an impression on kids in the sixties and that whole era. You're showing that not only are you doing good work / amazing work in this complicated field you're in, but it's the selflessness you're showing and the attitude of helping out as altruistically as possible that makes the episodes you're filming so worthwhile. You're literally demonstrating a way of life that others can look up to, want to emulate, and feel good about doing good.
    Which, across the broader band of media, seems sometimes scarce as hen's teeth.
    Applause! Applause!! 👏👏😄😉😀👍

      Halyn, there are lots of volunteers in the U.S. doing good stuff, they're all over the world, but every journalist knows that "if it bleeds, it leads" so they report mostly on the bad. And our brains are genetically programmed to magnify the bad stuff unless we use logic to remember the good side. Do what you can, in your own way, to make things better. Believe in "the Butterfly Effect." Even if it's just letting the ads run and hitting "Like" for Pierogi, that won't cost you a nickel. If you do social media (I don't) tell people about places like this... you never know, someone could see it, and be saved from a scammer just because of what you say! :)

      I think every checkout person that sells Gift Cards like at Wallmart, etc needs to be trained on watching out for people asking for very high paying Gift Cards and help them to stop paying these horrid scammers. It won't stop everyone, but it may stop most, we hope.

    • @ebmw231975
      @ebmw231975 Год назад

      @@abikt1782 sadly at most places they actually DO training on this. I know Walmart, CVS an Lowe's all do. But if employee doesn't care then they just sell the gift card. Sadly it's a personal choice to put forth the effort and concern to ask and explain and too many people just don't care.

      Maybe print some business cards that state the Scammer Payback channel and say "Watch this video first." (Better, list several channels)

    Miss Tabatha is such a kind and smart person, it’s disgusting what scammers did to her. Not only did they rob her of her money, but also of her self esteem, sense of self worth and hurt her emotionally. And the shame of having to tell the people around her. So glad you found her and to the community for making her whole. ❤️❤️❤️

Wish I had the money to help you pay these folks back or was young enough to take out some of these scumbags.. I know.. that is not right, and not what you do.. But the pain they cause has to be stopped.. Well done son... You make me proud of the kids that work there and help you do what you do.. you do it the right way.. That is something I wish I had learned in my youth.. Carry on!
