  • On Wednsday's edition of Felger & Mazz, Greg Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal, explained how he is a fan of the Patriots free agency so far, and gives his thoughts on if the team may sign the rest of their free agents.

    I’m so glad they post these on youtube. I can’t listen to that show, talk about nattering nabobs of negativity! 😂😂 But I do like to hear Bedard’s segment. (Just not enough to tune and listen to those a holes insult the fan base for four hours.)

    What a surprise, Greg’s honesty about his team evaluations shows again. When people were optimistic, he appeared pessimistic in 2019 and 2022, but when the team makes roster improvements, he voices progress as honesty over an agenda. Bedard is only one of the few respected Boston media journalists in my opinion.

    It’s not like there were better free agents than their own except for a few, but it’s nice to see the Patriots developing their own players and giving them a second contract. They need the depth. They can’t transform the entire roster in one offseason.

    Forgive me, I moved to Florida from New England about 15 years ago. I have just started listening to these Boston media types. This Greg Bedard guy is one of the only ones to make any sense. Very refreshing. Him and Curran might be the only 2 I can take seriously.

      @@sancoffsr wrong. hes repeatedly said hes not a fan and the entire point of the show is perspective from a non fan. hes from wisconsin and is openly a bucks/brewers/packers fan and as far as new england hes only a fan of the bruins because wisconsin doesnt have a hockey team. again, hes stated this multiple times over the years.

    Like how people are so into how we patriots fans enjoy 20 yrs dynasty and it's over now we come back to reality of being a normal team now what we had was very lucky so I think we can take few yrs of being bad and not freak out all empires end we no different

    I'm happy so far. If Belifraud was still here Dugger would be gone, Boune and Henry would be gone, Parker still here....
    Imagine an offseason where the team holds onto the few guys on offense that had some value, and also keeping some key defensive cogs as well.

    I get that Juatin Fields might be better than Brisset, but for the life of me I can't understand why Felger and Mazz thought that Fields and Wilson were somehow the keys to us competing this year. Neither of those guys would have succeeded in the offense as it currently stands.

    Mike Williams and add Hollywood Brown to the Patriots cause the WR room right now is awful right now. The Patriots need at least one veteran receiver and add at least two to three WR in the draft

    If Dugger gets a better offer the Pats can always facilate a trade, 3rd rounder otherwise they get a year to figure it out at 14M while Mapu shows his worth as a box safety.

    So basically every move was good. Bedard, you gotta stop this homerism and be critical. I'd loe to hear the alternative move they could have made at each position they retained. Around the league, wwhat were the other options vs. what they actually signed for vs. what we retained and what they signed for.

      I wanted him but Tennessee has no taxes so to match pats would have probably had to do 4 years 100 for a 29 year old who’s barely a #1 WR. Would have been a massive overpay, I wanted the player but that contract is insane.

    I agree with felger....a combination of van pelt/brissett makes me wannna vomit. And i mean absolutely hurl. Brissett BLOWS. and van pelt is a HUGE unknown who just got fired by Cleveland. I don't know what part of that is supposed to give us confidence but it doesn't for me

      That's false. He filled in last year admirably as an outside CB after being down top 4 CBs. Can play safety and in the slot. Valuable depth piece

    It has been a complete failure. The team doesn't know what a rebuild is because of their success. They make an in house staff member and former player the head coach and sign a former QB as their veteran. They need to move on from all these past players and start fresh. One of the only teams in the league worse than you the Commanders have a better draft pick, signed Austin Ekeler and dumped their backup RB to you!
