    These guys assume the free agents want to come to NE. They also assume if NE wants to make a trade, the other team and the player will automatically agree to it.

    Didn't the Bears allow Fields to pick his team. They seem to be forgetting that over and over. These players just don't want to be in NE. I don't blame them.

    Smith wanted to go to the Jets... the Jets were shocked he took their offer. He turned down bigger contracts... It wasn't the contract they needed to beat.

    Of course they weren't going to make a big splash move, and yet they are still one of the biggest spenders. This is how you rebuild. Getting stupid and 'burning cash' doesn't help. You build through the draft, not free agency.

    Why does everyone assume NE didn’t reach out to these guys they missed out on? Why do they also assume the deal the player signed for was available to NE? You really think veteran FA’s who have already made millions want to come to a last place team in the northeast? Be realistic.

      They did reach out to ridley but it sounds like they didnt want to match the offer he got. The pats are in the situation where they have to overpay for people now. New coach, no real qb, very expensive area of the country to live in

    This isn't 2014 where Tom Brady is your QB and the big splash was signing Revis. Pats have made good moves that will keep the team consistent for the next few years, which is EXACTLY what a rookie QB needs. Inconsistency was one of the main reasons for Mac Jones downfall. Once again Felger you are wrong, which is kinda par for the course for you 😂

    Many teams make cuts after the draft, lots of veterans will become available and if you have money/cap space you might find a fit.

    This is how to build out a bad team, get younger develop younger players wait your opportunities and plod along carefully. As others have said there will be players available before and after the draft and Barmore and Judon need to be resigned. We will be able to run the ball play action pass and control the ball and line of scrimmage, (no turnovers) "patience grasshopper".

    Many longtime fans like myself knew Bill was the main reason for the collapse since Brady left..so I gave the Pats a second chance after the firing.....since then..secret hiring of Mayo as HC..now a Belichick like FA period...draft is the last resort for this fan...if I feel they screw this draft up...looking for another team to support in 2024...This team just doesnt want to win anymore.

    Rebuilding takes time man, these boys wanna have 1 season of a rebuild that’s not how it works. Gotta first have these players buy in to the regime wit Mayo n next year if we build something like the Texans did free agents will see we got something special but the draft is crucial

    I like the signings. First off-season addressing depth and youth maybe swing a big trade and then swing in 2nd wave free agency and finally release and late season trade market.

    Why would pats draft a qb at 3 after passing on a top/affordable tackle & the top free agent receiver? They’re trading down and building for years to come. Don’t expect a major turnaround in just 1 off season

    They’re gonna go all offense in the draft & they should. But they coulda added defensive players through free agency. Defense was okay not elite they couldn’t get any pressure when judon was out. & seems they always end the season with 0 healthy corners

      No they didn't need to build from bottom. They needed to spend money.....J Kraft's money... on one top tier player. Not a bunch of top tier players, just one top tier player would have gone a long way.....and they were too damn cheap and/or cowardly...as Felger forcefully explained.

    Pats couldve got Fields for a5th...Keenan Allen for a 4th...signed Smith from Dallas at OT...that would be a successful FA...but they failed in every area of NEED.

    It's extremely disappointing so far. Unless they start to make some high-end trades with teams for Pro Bowl talent players, might as well have left Bill Belichick in charge, he would have done this much so far in free agency.

    Amazing how NE went from the place to be to the place no one wants to be. Even when they were reported to be in contention for a big name player those players without exception chose someplace else to go. No big name WR want to go to NE with qb position unsolved, but at the same time all the QB's will look mediocre due to not having top notch WR's to throw to.
    My opinion...they should pick Harrison at #3 and get try to get Raddler or Penix at #34. Get the wide out who can make Brissett look like a superstar and draft a trainable QB to start in 2025.

    This downfall is all on Kraft. Never paid Brady, never had a successor, drafted jones, signed FA bums, ran Bill out and hired Mayo. He’s a clown. The team was good because star players came in cheap because they knew Brady could take them to the Super Bowl. Those days are long gone

    We are so bad as a team but it still baffles me ppl want qb. Yea Mac is shit but so were his wr core and o line. So far it looks like the same line up sure new faces ok. But still not an upgrade. Just decent replacements. Jayden or maye is gonna be just as dog shit as mac was with how poor we tackled the fa. I don't have faith in the draft cuz we got holes. And we done nothing in fa. I ain't impressed

    This show is for dummies obviously. The Pats tried to get Ridley but would have had to outbid Titans by making him the highest paid WR guaranteed $ ever. That would have been stupid. He will be 30 this season. Not signing him on those terms was the right move. There are a ton of good WRs in the draft. Take a QB at #3 and a WR like Mitchell from Texas with the 2nd round pick.

    So you sign Smith the tackle and he plays 4 games because he's always injured. So that's a great signing you 3 geniuses?
