    Cooldown the time it takes for the spell to trigger another instance of damage. Adding more beams via augmentations does not hinder your damage, just adds another beam but that extra beam cannot hit the same target.

    would be pretty fun to see a full falling star run it looks like it can be pretty strong if its attack speed is just really really fast

    I would expect cooldown to equate to faster damage ticks on beams, and i think it does indeed. Either way, extra beams doesn't seem as good as it could be cause damage numbers plummet hard. I've never paid attention to whether or not the same thing happens when adding projectiles to other spells, to be fair.

    I think you were unlucky. My first beam run I got tons of damage on the beam and generic crit upgrades (both chance and damage) and lightning as my first element and the beam slapped. Add fire to that, making plasma in the end, and everything was just melting around me. Which leads me to conclude, seeing as you had a miserable beam run, that it is at least not overpowered (probably even underpowered) and needs decent upgrades to do good work.
    As for the magnets, I haven't read the patch notes but I think they are tied to your luck, because the runs where I get high luck I get the feeling I'm swimming in magnets.

      @LordBaktor I know they nerfed the drop rate awhile ago on magnets but this was very weird to not see a single magnet in a run. Maybe it is tied to luck now

    You didn't do much damage because you kept avoiding the speed upgrade on the beam. That should have been outdamaging all other skills combined.
