Good for that program to help those kids in need. Terrible they have to be homeless.
A good friend told me once while we were working together that he lived with his parents under the bridge that we crossed almost daily. They lived there while he was in Elementary school, through to High School. He was composed, proud, and one could not tell, unless they handed him a pen. He was unable to read and write.
I moved out of the area a while back, but it's nice to stay connected with my hometown via quality news summaries like this from KGW. ❤
