@@txcaco1I'm not sure if there's a band some of the time. But there's not usually cease and desist even if bands play covers (although there theoretically could be). But there often are cease and desist requests from recording artists if their recorded music is used without permission, especially by politicians they don't agree with or dislike. Trump has brought legal cease and desists from the Rolling Stones, Eminem and others due to not wanting their music associated with the Trump campaign.
