I'm a white Australian male, and I have to say I just love watching these strong black ladies showing us all how to be better human beings. I could watch and listen to their wisdom and their humour all day long. We need more women like this in positions of power all over the world.

She'd have been a fantastic president. Kamala Harris is an amazing woman too, but we just don't get to see how great she often enough! I have no reservations about VP Harris if she is required to step in for Biden. I think she'll lead us well if the House and Senate support her. Hopefully one day Jasmine Crockett will run for president too.

MS. Moore is the House Rep for the community where I own a rental property. She is as kind and strong in person as she appears when she is on news programs. This coming election will be her tenth and she will win again because she delivers for her diverse constituents and they love her in return! We are unable to say the same about Margie delivering for her constituents because she does nothing but yammer and write inane, going-no-where legislation. These two represent the difference between a pol who wants to do well for their constituents, and a pol who is there for the game and fame.
Kudos to Congresswoman Moore for being an adult. I don’t know that I would have been able to sit next to Marge for 3 hours without my eyes rolling out of my head.

Gwen Moore is our rep from Milwaukee, Wi and she is the pride of our state for her diligence and hard work representing her constituents. Great lady...and MTG would be wise to stay clear of Rep Moore...she is no where near the class act league Ms. Moore is. BTW I no longer live in Milwaukee County but go there often.

Here's a better question. Have you read Project 2025? If you love America's democracy, go read it. I used to be a Republican until I read Project 2025. When I saw what the Republicans' plan is, to remove our checks and balances and give one person control of everything (including media, education, etc.), I ran far, far away! If you can't read legalese, Wikipedia has a good breakdown. I know your argument on why you're a Republican because those reasons used to be mine. I can't say I agree with everything Biden's doing, but I know for a fact that the Republicans want to change us into a Dictatorship or Autocratship at least, and that's NOT what our founding fathers wanted. The only reason there's nothing in our constitution to stop Trump is because our founding fathers never dreamed an American would want to end our democracy. Seriously, please go read Project 2025. At least know what you are voting for! Please.
The point about acknowledging peoples feelings is so important, it's so easy (as many do) to just shout someone down because you don't agree with their opinion, it's another thing to engage with them and show them the other side of the coin. If people spent more time trying to understand why people think differently from them instead of simply denouncing them for holding different views I'm willing to bet we would find solutions to the issues we face much more effectively.

I have the utmost respect for Rep. Gwen Moore, obviously a lady of grace and intelligence. Not too many people (in view of MTG's poor behavior, total lack of respect and decorum due her political office), would dream sitting next to her! I really hope that people see this interview, and listen closely to what she had to say regarding the "human side" of the woman. In the currant political climate, all the public seems hear are biased, demonized reports about one political party or the opposing side (highlighting the BAD actors). Maybe we have been conditioned to take sides, and irrationally block out any outside positive or neutral information? I've always hated politics. Even as a kid it seemed like dirty business as I listened to adults heatedly argue about it. That opinion began to "metastasize" in 2016 when someone with no political experience or education... stepped into ill-fitting shoes.
We should all be on our knees... praying for God's will, not ours, because not a one of us will ever be His councilor.

What jobs are your referring to? That's relative because there are jobs at fast food restaurants, jobs in customer service. There are jobs. Could it be the job YOU want and are most qualified for is not easy to get or isn't as available as it used to be? I guarantee there is someone somewhere that's been out of work just as long as you and either started their own business, increased their skills set in a new field, or took whatever was available--including the pay cut--to get hired.

Rep. Moore-you are a classy lady and have a message and a practical approach that is sorely needed now. I appreciated the way you described the encounter, first describing how you geared yourself up with positive, calming/de-escalating self talk and then determined to yourself that you were going to adhere to a higher standard and rise above and then committed to yourself to be intentional about employing empathy as your secret weapon. We need to hear more of your message and approach-I’d like to see you on talk shows more often.

I’ve become more conservative since the pandemic, but Rep. Moore’s interactions with MTG are absolutely exemplary ~ connecting on a human level, listening respectfully (even when it’s not reciprocated). Gives me hope!

inflation is not that high if we look at salary increases in ratios to price gf goods. Now the average Macdonald worker making $18/hr way above the $7.50/hr that is the minimum wage. So the amount. of groceries than one can buy is not much different. They have to spend more but they Make more than twice as much now.
People are very shortsighted and don’t really understand that they can’t just point their finger at Joe Biden being responsible for all their difficulties. It’s much more complicated than that. Sure didn’t help the way trump left us in so much more debt than before and if Americans just vote for Joe Biden and democrats we will be able to collect taxes from the ultra wealthy like we should have been which will help the homeless, the poor the hungry etc.
