Thank you for sharing this with us. What is most intriguing to me is by stretching certain stainless steel material in a section brings its original ferrite properties back. Armed with this property change we can determine if and how much yield exhibits in the bolt before or after the breaking point, through magnetization test.
Ok cool I'm a lathe operator from Germany. And repair power plants. The whole time I thought about the video where I can use the procedure shown. Because it's really cool. The end came totally unexpected for me. Great work you do on the lathe. And the videos are great too. Thank you and best regards from Germany.
Thanks for showing us this video footage. I found it very relaxing watching this video footage, very gentle music playing in the background. Put them both together and they work well. Thank you very much 🙏
This can also be observed on a outside fork trucks with roll over protection. what pipe work will fill up with water and in the cold season it'll freeze and expand the pipe.
3:28 your taping a hole. Try using a heavy duty punch in your tail stock to hold pressure on the end of the tap, so you just have to spin the tap. The heavy duty punch will let out as you tap the hole deeper.
Very excellent. I was surprised how much expansion you got from freezing especially stainless steel. Love your techniques and great pride. Keep it up. 👍
Thank you for watching. The yellow drill is an inexpensive brand drill called E-Value that I bought at a remodeling store. The blade will dull immediately, so sharpen it frequently. The black drill is a Mitsubishi Materials drill.
Thank you for watching. SUS304 is an austenitic stainless steel, but due to cold plastic deformation during refrigeration, it undergoes martensitic transformation and reacts to magnetism.
I have some machines, including lathes. I use your videos a lot as a motivation on a daily basis to work, I really admire the lack of performance and the whim of you Japanese, greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you for watching. It was a non-magnetic material because it was an austenitic stainless steel, but due to plastic working, martensitic transformation occurred in the relevant part and it was magnetic.

Greetings from Texas, very nice work. The ending was a just perfect. Thanks.

I thought after all that work that it might be a high tech engine part or something. Nope, just a bell
All that for a wind chime?? A very expensive wind chime 😄, INCREDIBLE SKILLS
The only real expense was time... 😏

Nice! Gradual thermo/hydroforming.
Please! Name of the lubricant/coolant used for shiny finishing??
Thank you for watching.
The cutting oil is Castrol's Variocut C210.
Amazing concept! The surface texture of the bell part is unique, and somehow real natural. Nice ratios, beautiful simplicity. Big up!
Wonderful. Thank you, thank you so much. I’m rlly sick right now, but this video let me sleep.
Alsome, great video..
Now the only issue is to find someone that pays for the product the value of the waisted time.
I think we are the customers

My dream .
Once again the power of water is truly amazing
That was amazing and very relaxing keep up the amazing work
I liked the video , but didn't understand the concept.
Can anyone help me .? .
Which property of material is being used here. ?
gooooood

Very excellent. I was surprised how much expansion you got from freezing especially stainless steel. Love your techniques and great pride. Keep it up. 👍
What brand are your drill bits? I never see stainless steel drill so easy...
Thank you for watching.
The yellow drill is an inexpensive brand drill called E-Value that I bought at a remodeling store. The blade will dull immediately, so sharpen it frequently.
The black drill is a Mitsubishi Materials drill.
Of course . all that work are made in Japan ...
Very, very clever!
Emeyine zamanına yazık be adam. Su donunca genişlediğini hepimiz biliyoruz bunun için bukadar zamana yazık etdin.

Master I bow to you

I'm curious why did it become magnetic?
Thank you for watching.

Superb job bro 👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome close up photography, how about some slow motion photography?
Nice machining and very entertaining.

Why did it become magnetic???
Thank you for watching.
Due to cold plastic deformation, martensitic transformation occurred, so the deformed part came to attach to the magnet.
What type of language is written on video subject
Thank you for watching.
The language is Japanese.
It is written as ice balloons on a lathe.
É incrível como a água e poderosa né
Congratulations for your genius ideas!!
Ótima técnica, parabéns.
O gelo expandiu e fez isso no aço?
When he said cold forming be meant it.
When he said cold forming he bent it
Very cool!
Very good, let's do well together, see you next time
Я в а..e !
16'12 second wasted time.
But very neat job.
Do you have any idea why the surface had an "orange peel" texture after freezing?
Really enjoyed watching your work!
Thank you for watching.
sorry. I don't know why the surface was uneven.
Gradual breakdown of the surface finish due to the stretching.
cute application. though i feel like the chime is a bit high pitched. have you considered slotting the bell to get more reverberation?
Increhible.
Such a nice idea 👌
Hehehee..
Great.. omedeto.
Супер
Sensational !!! Small details that make the difference in machining. God is in the details of love at the time of work. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷

TAO THUA.
after each freeze, it was necessary to warm up the burner, then it would be possible to stretch more.
Stop motion hydro forming :-)
I wonder if you heated it up and anneal it between freezes if you could get a larger balloon
All that work for... A thing that doesn't work? Hope you enjoyed. Maybe was good for practicing. 🤷🏼♂️😅
I don't understand the magnet demonstration. Why did it stick to the side but not the end?
Thank you for watching.
It was a non-magnetic material because it was an austenitic stainless steel, but due to plastic working, martensitic transformation occurred in the relevant part and it was magnetic.
@@SwaplampJapan interesting. Thanks for clarifying.
I wonder if you could have used a grease gun, what pressure was needed to form the steel?
or make a smoking pipe.
You got to much time in your life 🤣
