I just want to say that while I'm certain that Jelle has probably almost every color combination known to man among his marble collection, I do greatly appreciate that he uses white with black striped ones for the referees. Such an obvious but beautiful touch.
The only colors missing are real purple and pink, but these marbles are almost impossible to find. However, there are plastic marbles / 16mm balls in purple or pink but their weight is slightly lighter than real glass ones. The Raspberry Racers are magenta / lila and were available at the (now defunct) Land of Marbles. The Pinkies are very light pink which is almost white and sometimes difficult to recognize with the Snowballs.
Just a reminder for those who might be confused - this is not event 1 of the ML2020 - it's just the friendly round between the pre-qualified teams (Team Galactic, Raspberry Racers, Green Ducks, Hazers), where they compete in the four events of the qualifiers just for practice.
As a Team Primary fan, I'm starting to think their issues might be with their coaching. Look how much stronger the Oceanics have returned this year after firing Tide last year. Watching Prim in M1 and past Team Primary performances more than prove that they have the talent, they just lack guidance. #FireSecondary

I'm really dissapointed that my beloved Snowballs didn't qualify, but I'm still really looking forward to this year's Marble Leaugue. I really hope that everyone whose team didn't qualify still looks forward to this competition as much as I do. This year, I will be supporting the second coolest marble team. Quite literally. The minty freshness of the Minty Mantiacs can hopefully make this Snowballs fan proud. And I hope other Snowballs fans will support them too. Because with our fanbases combined, the Minty Maniacs can definitely go for gold. Good luck, cold pals. Good luck. #ColdForGold

The best thing about this channel is the little note that said they were going to improve the camera angles for the 5 meter dash. Its so nice to feel like a league is listening to it's fans as opposed to, like, major league baseball which clearly doesn't give a fuck about us
Raspberry Racers looking really sharp this year again. Great to see them finally living up to their potential - defending champions... I smell another Marble League trophy for the lads.
At the 5m sprint it whould be super nice if it is possible to have a moving camera that stays with marble. But understand you have a limmited budget, so no judgeing if it cant happen
Definitely needs a gravity dolly to follow them. It's really hard to see the race unfold and the moves made once they get moving. I'd also love to see a proper high-speed camera for the finishes. Does not need to be one of those crazy ones that some channels have that shoot a million frames a second, somewhere between 6-12 thousand frames should be about right and should not be too expensive and give the fans some amazing slow-mo replays of the finishes.
A huge thanks to Jelle for all the work that goes into putting on such an epic event, an a big shout to John Oliver for turning so many of us on! I'm so pumped for the comp!!! Go O'rangers!!!
I'm glad to see no one fell off or got injured. That flag does not like the lane nearest and we had a summer re-run with the Hazers getting stuck at the starting line this time. Even though it was the friendly round, it's a great warm-up to the main event! Thank you!
You can tell, especially in the block pushing, that the spirit of the Friendly is alive - all teams today were saving their strength. Compare the numbers with yesterday's teams scratching and clawing to qualify

I loved the "fakes" given by the Raspberry Racers in the funnel. They looked like they were going down, then moved so that the marble behind them could go down first. Great skill! Great strategy!
I'll always love my Raspberry Racers, but team Minty Maniacs are rolling their way into my heart. Love a good underdog story. I think I have like 7 favorite teams now - I just love them all so much!
The changes to funnel races have really expanded upon the strategies I mentioned before that go into this event. There's so much more space and speed to conserve and the effects of nudging and trailing become so much more evident that Greg was able to react to what was happening and comment on how it affected the outcome.
I have a sneaking suspicion the Speeders may actually be in a weight category above many of the other marbles. A greater weight, well distributed, would benefit them in categories favoring speed and mass... which happen to be most of the events here.

Ngl, that funnel race was epic. Anyway, Team Galactic looked really solid on the first two events, and while they could certainly improve on balancing and the 5M race, the signs look good. Let’s hope that the host curse is lifted!
Great stuff as always, but I think i prefer the camera panning and following the racers on the track rather than them passing through stationary cameras, especially since the track color made it difficult to see.
Hazers have really put thought into their strategy for the funnels, I don't think I've seen quite so fierce delay in the eye before! Ofc that's not enough to beat my fruity bols, they have the strength, endurance, strategy, and experience on their side. That feint! /kisses fingers

Ngl, that funnel race was epic. Anyway, Team Galactic looked really solid on the first two events, and while they could certainly improve on balancing and the 5M race, the signs look good. Let’s hope that the host curse is lifted!
Thank you John Oliver for shining a spotlight on this sport!
Thank you Jelle’s Marble Runs for existing!
Kinda bummed snowballs didnt make it.
I personally support Green Ducks but Snowballs did very well in Marbula 1
It gives me immense pleasure to hear the words "sponsored by Last Week Tonight with John Oliver."
So glad y’all are going to improve the cameras. Excited for Marble League 2020!
as a raspberry racers fan, this was the best thing i've ever witnessed.
Jelle, I don't know what the Dutch equivalent is, but in this trying time, I genuinely hope you and Dion receive a knighthood for your services to humanity while we've all been locked up going insane. You are a saint. Thank you for doing what you do.
Got that famous Raspberry Racer consistency on display.
The new beam material is directly the cause of the one/team finisher in balancing. One of the most skill-intensive events in the league has just been officially set to *E A S Y M O D E* .
Literally, the greatest sport of 2020!!!
Rasberry Racers showing why they're the best in the game, even in a friendly bout like this. Keep it up! Whoo!
I’m so glad they didn’t shut this sport down because of COVID-19
But I am worried for the audience since they are so close to each other
Masterful maneuvering by Razzy in the funnels!
