I always thought it strange that when Zangetsu used bankai here he didn't change into his younger Tensa Zangetsu
It was most likely to avoid creating an incoherence with Ichigo not recognizing him in is inner world later on.

Honestly I would of loved to have seen Ichigo with a pure hollow bankai. An arc where Ichigo purely trains using only his hollow power then obtains a bankai solely and only based on his hollow however he has to mix up his power whether it’s full bring or soul reaper he relies too much on one power and he should train each of powers equally and then obtain three different bankai forms.
Technically, the Full Hollow Bankai is actually his Vasto Lorde form that he curbstomped Ulquiorra with. In fact, in the Dangai training, when Old Man Tensa Zangetsu ripped White off Ichigo after telling him it's the first time Ichigo came to his inner world in Bankai state, White was in Vasto Lorde form.
The Shikai equivalent is either the Visored mask or the Full Hollow form he has shown Kageroza.

Bankai is just a shinigami thing and as we found out the hollow is ichigos actual zanpakto. It’s all the same power but y he kinda mastered it now and brought his zanpakto and bankai to the next lvl while also assimilateing some Quincy powers as his second sword.

There's no logic behind it. The writers behind it did get the explanation about the relationship between shinigami and zanpakuto correct.
@@duynguyenminh1289 Bankai plundering takes the reishi of the bankai and transposes it into a quincy's accessible reishi.
Muramasa's power is supposed to be manifesting the zanpakuto and severing the connection between them while negatively influencing the zanpakuto's mind. It's like the tenshintai but there's a diminished connection between shinigami and zanpakuto.
A better way to explain the collapsed connection is that Muramas vorrupts the zanpakuto's mind while drawing them out which diminishes their connection to the soul reaper, but these guys seem to regain their shikai through will power instead of rebuilding the connection which kibda doesn't make sense in the shinigami lore.
I think of it like the Zanpakuto are split in two kinda. The spirit, and an empty “shell” kinda with the blade. In order to get full power and become stable they had to be united again. Just a headcanon
To those who didn't understand the plot of why Zangetsu can use Bankai because it's his! the bankai that he (the soul of Yawach the Quincy king) has created by being in the body of Ichigo he had access to both his hollow and his soul reaper power but hes still the quincy kings soul and in that sense hes like a father to ichigo having a part of his own soul makes it so he did not wanted to kill ichigo as soul reapers and quicys are mortal enemies yawach zangetsu tried to surprass his soul reaper power but ichigos soul repaer power was merged with the power of the hollow called White who was an experiment of aizen he created white by killing 100s of soul reapers and mixing their soul with orankar level hollows the first and original hollow created by human White its so overwhelmingly powerful it had absorbed most of ichigos soul reaper powers but due to the hate of soul reaper the quincy blood inside him didnt merge with the soul reaper powers then he forced his quincy power to seal his hollow and soul reaper powers away but when he was struck by rukias blade the soul reaper power and the op white overwhelmed yawach and released a portion of his power for him to become a soul reaper yawch took that power and he himself became itchigos zangetsu so even after he left ichigos body he still has bankai because the power white has released its still within yawach zangetsu to control he cannot gain any more soul reaper powers he cannot be stronger without white and ichigo couldnt use mask because ichigo did not have his true sword zangetsu which yawach zangetu himself had become so in reality ichigo was completely out of soul reaper powers cuz yawach zangetsu took everything with him when he left his body (the portion of power that made him a soul reaper that is) so in this case white who is fused with ichigos soul reaper powers lend him his strength but his strength level on this portion of anime is as much as he have mastered with the hollowfication remember his true soul reaper power is still surpressed by yawach zangetsu so he used his hollow mask power to actually move his damned sword lol how can he use bankai with it as its impure everytime white tries to take over he forces ichigo to become hollow not soul reaper! and yawach zangetsu tried forcing him becoming a quincy because he didnt wanted to kill ichigo as his mom was a pure blood high family quincy!

As if Ichigo needs the mask to use the real Zangetsu, the mask weakened Ichigo's Quincy side, and powering up the real Zangetsu. Without the Quincy powers Ichigo is allowed the full power of Zangetsu, even if they were using a fake Zanpakuto

That's the thing I dislike about fillers. With the extra information about the newer episodes a lot of this makes less sense (Ichigo's zangetsu and white)
Yup... Agree it is already made less sense upon Ichigo can still use high level power from White and still doesn't recognize who truly White is...
But... There is another thing that made me feel less sense even more...
What makes me feel the less and less sense about this filler arc is that most shinigami whether already mastered their bankai or not doesn't even recognize their own zanpaktou manifestation forms. And then, there's Ichigo alone who still recognize Old Man as well as Hitsugaya who still recognize Hyourinmaru. I was like. How come they don't know the form of their own zanpaktou manifestation form? Did they never met one or something?
[I get it if they establish those that doesn't recognize are those that still unable to reach bankai state. But that's not the case. the story was like almost all shinigami whether they mastered bankai or not, they don't really recognize their own zanpaktou.]
If the reason that the don't recognize their zanpaktou manifestation form is because their zanpaktou somehow change in different form like Renji's Zabimaru [which from ape with snake head as a tail into 2 different woman and child like girl connected with a chain], then how come Hitsugaya can recognize right away about Hyourinmaru's human look alike form? Put aside Mayuri's weird zanpaktou manifest form that makes him recognize right away.
If zanpaktou affected by Muramasa causes the change in their manifestation form, then why Ichigo's Old Man doesn't change? The same thing for Yamamoto's Ryujin Jakka.
@@viperakmal This a old comment so yu prolly know now but, thx to TYBW we now know its because alot of them never met or new the true name of their bankai therefore they never met them in their true form until this situation happened and as for ryujin and hitsugaya recognizing, it just so happens that they already knew their true spirits names and therefore knew what they looked like in true form
What's funny is that muramasa shouldn't have ever worked on ichigo. He never actually had a zampaktou.....
Old Man Zangetsu, Ichigo's Quincy powers, faked that Muramasa could pull him out of Ichigo, remember that Ichigo did use that doll thing during his Bankai training. Fixed the plot hole, and kept it in lore as the Quincy powers wanted Ichigo to trust them over the real Zangetsu.

Kinda didn't like how this arc made zanpakuto more confusing and contradictory. I'm not going to go into detail about Zabimaru's form, but....how about Zangetsu using bankai? When later in the canon arc, Tensa Zangetsu's form is his younger form? That's just straight-up wrong here, then.
Made before Kubo revealed teen form of old man Zangetsu, and not the fact that Ichigo renamed his Quincy powers to Zangetsu when he forged his Zanpakuto and got the twin blade form. Cause at that time Ichigo knew the truth and accepted both of his sources of power as Zangetsu.
i remember those fight and like alway itchigo suck so much that why he need is hallow to help him for survive a other time he safe is ass 14:20 without him he ichigo can stop to existe since a long time but since is the main caracter of that anime then the autor make him to never really die ichigo he nothing we can see in that new season when he fight the right hand of the quicy boss he be so close to get kill in less that 5 min without is hallow he truly desapoiting

Not quite. The move is the move. The thing is old man zangetsu kept the actual zangetsus power to a minimum in fear of how powerful Ichigo could become. Because initially zangetsu (Quincy) didn't want Ichigo to become a soul reaper. Should he become one he was going to take him out. Referring to their getsuga clash though technically Ichigo in a sense operated power and all as he should have been all this time.

Nah even then it makes sense. All muramasa does is awaken someones instincts. Zangetsu(ywach)'s instinct was to test ichigo. If ichigo was too weak then instinct would be to kill him. White's instinct was always to protect ichigo from the start.

Well Madarame Ikkaku clearly have chinese inspiration reminding shaolin monk with his look, his shikai being an iconic chinese spear and his Bankai clearly influenced by chinese culture too. Same thing applies too Kisuke since his zanpakuto takes the form of a longquan sword in shikai state. There is also chinese based arrancars with Shawlong Kufang and Ggio Vega wich fought soi fon. Don't forget Yoshi from the Bounts fillers she's litteraly wearing a qipao dress and her doll manifests in the form of a jian sword connected with a fan, she even was taking kungfu/taichi stance in fight like in the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon movie. I'm sorry but not even soi fon can be more chinese than Yoshi lol
