Yow, I was blown away by how the animation still holds to this day. Well, I never really watch the show as if I was a fan, but only a short video from RUclips and a few episodes from tv. I was surprised 🙀

I didn't lol. The animation jump from arrancars arc to this one really stood out
This arc truly shows the essence of what kind of main character Ichigo is. He never particularly wanted to get "stronger". He always have a purpose that gives him the reason for wanting the power. He lived his life normally after losing his shinigami power, not thinking about it much and only wanted power once his friends are endangered. Some may say he has the biggest plot armor but all I can say is that he deserved them. He never gave up when it seems its impossible, he focuses on the goal rather than his misfortunes. His quote really strikes me when I read the battle vs ulquiorra, he fights because he needed to win, not that he knows he could win. Through Ichigo, it's like Kubo says that no matter how hard life gets, there's always a silver lining if you preserve
It is not really a plot armour for me, the problem is that the "I want to protect those who are dear to me " drive that Ichigo has is not enough for me to follow him thoroughly in his adventure. I feel that for most shonen protagonists, protecting their loved ones goes without saying ^^' I need more to enjoy his character.
@@reksfoleur859 of course that goes without saying but the fact that is his main goal is the point. he never felt like his powers were a burden or he wished he could have a normal life even though hes fighting demons and godly beings for the fact that it means he can protect people that need it. thats why he was so depressed when he doesnt have his powers anymore or he fails to protect someone. he wanted to save rukia just because she gave him those powers and when he failed he thought back to when he failed to protect his mother

Ginjo got the raw end of the deal when they gave out Bankais. He was near enough even with Ichigo’s Shikai when he was in his enhanced state, but when they both activate Bankai he can’t even land a hit.
my theory is that: according to databook mastered bankai is 10 times boost compared to shikai state, so they both got 10 times stronger but ginjo base shikai is weaker than ichigo.
Like ichigo was 5, and Ginjo got (4+1) via enchant but after bankai ichigo gets 50 and Ginjo gets 41 power basically
@@stefanrer1037 Also gotta remember, Ginjo could only perform a Bankai due to stealing some of Ichigo's power so I personally wouldn't say it was a "True Bankai" it was honestly more like an enhanced Shikai imo
@@TheMurry7 it was never stated that he had not mastered bankai prior. Ne er stated that he could only use bankai because he stole Ichigo's power. I believe it was needed because he is not using a zanpakto. So is bankai is not at full strength.
Genjo's true bankai would be with his own zanpakto, and then he could fullbring the zanpakto for greater power. He also has hollow powers so Genjo would be a powerhouse
@@stephonjones46 Ginjo* and it is stated however multiple times that bankai is extremely rare and that it (normally) takes decades to centuries to learn and master. It is also stated that the soul reapers already didn't trust Ginjo, had he learned it prior to ichigo they would have more than likely mobilized all forces to find and kill him quickly. So using context clues, especially the addition of Uryu saying "since he stole your powers its likely he stole all of your techniques too (bankai)" all in all, despite the possibility of Ginjo's power status he more than likely only had a shikai at most.

One thing that always surprised me a bit was that Riruka chose to leave. Seemed like Urahara was willing to take in another stray like he always does. I'd honestly live with him, he seems nice.
I think Ginjo motivation is just not persuasive: imagine Ginjo was angry against gotei because he knows he was chosen to be the backup soul king and was angered by the idea that they wanna strap him up into the crystal. He then revealed this to Ichigo who s also eyed as a backup soul king. this also align with what we know in CFYOW.

This takes place right before the Thousand Year Blood War Arc. It was the last of bleach before the long hiatus.
It wasn't a hiatus. It actually got cancelled but got picked up again. Has happened with series before.

@@gabrielcastejon7914 It actually didn't get cancelled, the directors and all the people in charge decided to wait before adapting TYBW, because when the Fullbring arc got fully adapted, there was only a single chapter of TYBW that was released. And instead of making a filler arc, they just decided to wait.

And if show was cancelled it wouldnt have come back ..
Pierrot stopped the production because fullbring ended in march 2012 and after that kubo took a 2 weeks break to research some content for final arc and tybw started in june 2012 so there was not more content to animate ...
And studio doesnt wanted to make more fillers

Still find it odd that if Byakuya knows and able to counter his own Bankai's inherited weakness that the user in close range has a protected center radius, he then later got defeated by that same bankai in TYBW 🤔

here he just have to counter Tsukishima by doing something he never done before. But in Tybw his bankai was stolen and was used against himself so of course he lost.

@@jup4835 there is a reason bankai is a trumpcard that is it's their final move...kinda. But because it's something new to have his bankai stolen and used against himself. Someone known his technique? then just advent new technique right there and use it to surprise the enemy. But getting his bankai stolen that's something he never thought would happen before and it is his trumpcard even when he knew how to deal with that don't forget that's a sternritter and they didn't even show their full power and asnodt Schrift began to wear him down so of course he would still lose even if he already know of his own technique he still lose

Well if he did he'd be as strong as he was at the end, ichigos progress isn't really progress, it's just yawach inside him releasing a Lil more of his actual real power for each power up he's had.

Yeah, I also noticed the battles does not feels as fluid as the old ones. They said they will improve that aspect in the second part.

消失篇、ストーリーそのものは面白かったけれど新キャラたちの魅力は弱いだけでなく変にギャグ要素を混ぜたことで盛り上がりがなくなっていった。
