Mine drains and pump kicks on. But it doesn’t spin. But if the doors not closed all the way it won’t start at all. Is there a different sensor in this that would cause this problem? Because seem like the door switch works.

Thank you very much for your video. Replacing the door switch fixed my problem. My washer wasn't draining and wouldn't enter the final spin. Unfortunately, most of the videos out there suggest cleaning out the coin catcher, so that's what I did first. Wasn't easy... spent a lot of time pulling the machine apart, only to find that my coin catcher wasn't clogged up. Your expertise and video solved my problem and I am very grateful. You saved me a lot of time and money, therefore I sent you a donation out of gratitude. Thanks again!

So I have a front-loading Kenmore washer, and the controller board does this resistance test on those door latch contacts. My wax motor worked fine, the fix for me was prying open the door latch switch as you did, and then polishing up those little switch contacts carefully with some fine steel wool. There was a bit of oxidation on the contacts. This got them shiny again. Once the contacts were clean, I reassembled and reinstalled the switch, and the final spin worked again. Just thought I would share this and maybe save people a few bucks before they replace the door switch assembly or the motor.

Our Whirlpool front load washing machine wouldn't cycle through and sometimes wouldn't even spin. It would cycle on Delicates or Heavy but not on Normal. And on Delicate or Heavy the clothes were still soaking wet. I ordered a door lock switch and it still didn't change. My washer pump filter is only accessible through the back so I removed it and it was caked solid with hair, etc. After cleaning it, it worked better than before. So, I have the EXACT same washer. Clothes are wet and NO spinning action at all. It DOES "CLICK" and lock and start the cycle; it drains fine during the cycle: In your opinion, could it STILL be the door lock causing the no spin even though it clicks and locks at the beginning?

Despite the fact that the test modes run without reporting any issues, the drum does not turn. When I run the spin cycle, it reports error 7. Thanks for making this video.
I replaced the switch with the oem replacement part, but unfortunately didn't fix the problem. The washer still fills and drains, and spins slowly, but it does not complete the final full speed spin. When I run a rinse/drain cycle, it get's stuck at 1 minute and never finishes.
I don't think it's the belt because I can't hear anything during the final spin cycle, but do you think it could be the motor controller? I wasn't sure because the machine does spin, it just doesn't do the full speed spin.

Thanks for your video. It is very useful. Could you pls help us with an idea. We have Hoover VHD148A and it stopped spinning. The display is working. When we press “start” water is taking the powder from the dispenser, filling the washing machine and when it is time to spin there is just a click sound and that’s it. We can turn the drum manually, we checked the belt and it is on its place. Thanks a lot

I open my blomberg door lock, I saw the Bi-metal contact and a coil relay. it always show "door not lock" on the screen. then I put some solder on the contact to raise it up a little bit to have more contact. it works, but i get a problem, the machine is not filling water and not spining, also can not pause. it start filling little bit water and sound's a agitates for 3 minutes then drain out. I just wonder if something to do with the door contact again because i have open it. there is 4 wire switch 28053110 blomberg door lock, two go to the coil, other two is the door lock.

Hello. Your video made the replacement of the door lock look easy. So I ordered one, installed it, and it worked fine for the first wash. Second wash, it didn't do the high speed spin so we re-ran the clothes in just a spin cycle. That worked. Third wash, tried the second step of spin only and it didn't go to high speed spin. Is there another issue going on? Seems odd that it worked fine once.

I have a Sears kenmore elite HE5t I had an F17 code the outer spring was off the door boot seal. Put the spring back on and then had a F25 code after husband completed a short cycle. 2 days later I removed the top, back and front lower panels. Checked the drain to make sure it was not plugged. Attempted a history overview test program. I hear the door lock, the machine fills both cold and hot, the drum rotates, drains however C:08 drum did not rotate counterclockwise from 35 to 90 rpm within 15 sec. The machine did not complete C:09 drum rotates counterclockwise at max speeds. I checked the tachometer resistance it was 115. Any thoughts? I was going to purchase a new doorlock at Dey appliance tomorrow but my gut tells me it might be a new motor and or Motor Control Unit.
    Thanks for your advise.

My front loading Blomberg won't start agitating once the water starts coming into the drum. It won't spin at all if i set the program to spin only. The door does lock when i turn on the machine and won't open until i cancel the program. Does this mean that a broken lock is not the problem and something else is causing it not to spin? Thanks so much for your help.

Could be that it needs a new door lock which is the cheapest solution or it may need a new motor controller which is much more expensive.

Every cycle works exception of final spin. Changed the wax motor twice (red) changed out from white one, still same problem. Any thoughts why? Would I need a new door/ latch mechanism (with 3 connectors)? I cleaned out boot to the drain pump (there was no plastic cup trap) found two quarters bottom of boot and made sure the entire drain hose was clear. Still didn't help with my problem?

Quick and Easy 5 minute Appliance Fixes I appreciate your reply because not many RUclips postings do so. I did purchased a new door switch but still had the same issue. I was thinking control board..there was no burn marks and I did blow away any dust on it. From the motor I removed the belt, placed on spin cycle to hear noises to suggest a bad motor...it sounded okay. I lubricated it. What did sound bad was the drain pump..vibration noise I secured the pump as best I could. Kept the new door latch in...all cycles including final speed spin works. I may need in the future a drain pump since the removal of the quarters showed up a bit bent and scratched up. Maybe the new door switch with combination of other tasks mentioned did the trick.
