I have been trying to research how to fix my repeatedly broken washer and this video reluctantly helped. I had to move my washer to its side and find the trapped item. Thank you so much for posting this.
Hi Evon, thanks for your comment. We are glad to hear that you have been able to find your trapped item after watching out video! Hopefully your washing machine is now working brilliantly again.
Possibly the best video ever upload to RUclips regarding repairs /diy etc. Absolutely to the point with great instructions. Saved a couple bucks fixing an issue with my washing machine. Thank!
Hi Michael, thanks for your appreciation of this video! It's good to know that you found it useful in helping you remove the stuck item from your drum.
You sir are a legend. We have replaced 2 paddles twice each. Today the 3rd paddle came off too. The wife requested a new machine as this one was broken.... I looked though the drum with no luck. Took out the heater. No luck. Underneath I removed the hose. Boom! One sharpened bra wire fell out. I cleaned the hose and found Bobby pins and a coin too. I'm buying paddles from e spares now. you have a loyal customer. Thank you
Hi Barrie, glad we could help and well done for getting it fixed as it shows making these videos does help and we will continue to help all we can. Remember to like the video and subscribe for more helpful videos.
Thank you so much for your video!!!! I was about to spend $300 on a technician to get my LG washer diagnosed. I came across your video and rechecked my washer out and there was a nail stuck in the inner drum!!! I am so greatful for your video I had already gone out twice to my local laundromat and finally got my washer back. Thank you god bless!
OMG, you are a genius! Just managed to pull the sock out from between the drums, all before my boyfriend even came home! Wouldn't manage without this video, thank you millions!
Sir, ye are a wizard of the washing machine world. I had very quick look at the machine after stopping your video in mid-flow and just as you excently explained, and just by sheer good fortune and luck when I slowly rotated the drum a sock popped up to say hello and with some gentle persuasion I was able to remove . When my wife was going to bed last night she was adding a new washing machine to her list of purchases so thank-you for the profeesional video. All the best from West Dunbartonshire
Thank you so much! Washing machine was making a terrible noise and I feared it had given up the ghost. Watched your video, took the heater out - and there was the bra wire that had been clicking against the drum (although 'clicking' is a very understated word for the deafening racket it produced when it was on its spin cycle). 40 minutes - and job done. Brilliant - thanks again.
Thanks Paul for the comments, it's great when what appeared to be a major problem can be resolved with just a little work. We have lots of other videos that can help without costing money, watch these when you have a moment: ruclips.net/video/ifWK9df1qgg/видео.html
I had a key trapped between the drum and the outer drum and your video saved meee! I actually tried removing that plastic plate that is placed inside the drum (at 0:43 in the it is touched to spin the drum). That uncovered some gaps inside the metal part and I could reach underneath the drum through those gaps and found the key! I was able to do that because with my machine the drum is accessed from the top side. Got the idea from watching every attempt made in the video, all the ways to access small objects. Thaaaaaank yooou! I feel elated, because was stressed out before and I'm so grateful for this video now. Sorry :D Thank you!
Hi Bogdan, is so good to hear that our video was such a big help for you! Well done for finding the object that was causing you the problem, we hope that your washing machine is working great again now! Thanks for watching our video.
Bravo sir, you saved me from a costly bill. I found with a flashlight a bra wire. Had to remove one of the washing drumlifters, under here there are some bigger holes which makes it so much easier. With a plier able to remove the bra wire!! Thank you a million times!
Hi and thank you for your comment. It's nice to know that our video has helped you out! Well done on finding the stuck object, you have been able to solve the issue yourself and got your washer back to working order, that's great!
I knew it was a bra wire, but I had no clue on how to get it out, but after following your advice I managed to see it poking through a hole and pulled it out. You just saved me £30 the weekend before Christmas! Thank you.
This was gold! Used the zip tie and found the wire that was stuck between the inner and outer drum. Loosened the heater and could after some struggle yank the item out. Thank you so much! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You just saved me an engineer callout 👍🏻 found bobby pins and shirt collar plastics in the tubing!!! The machine was sounding like Friday the 13th. All sorted now. Thank you sir 👊🏻
Thanks for the comments Alan. Always check pockets to ensure no foreign object gets in the machine as coins in particular can punch through a plastic tub and scrap a good machine.
Hi Michael, thanks for your appreciation of our video. It's great to hear that with help from eSpares you have been able to fix your washing machine problem yourself and save money!
It was a bra wire for me! I didn't see it at first because I didn't know what I was looking for. I watched this video and calmly searched the drum and found the bra wire sticking out (actually each end was sticking out of a different hole.) It took some yanking but I got it out. Works like a charm now.
Well done Christopher. Just a quick tip, check the holes the wire came out are not left with a sharp edge as this can catch and damage clothes. If you use an old pair of tights as a cloth and gently rub over the perforations any with sharp edges will catch the tights. You can then carefully use a cross head screwdriver to tap the edge down and remove the sharp bits.
Fantastic video! We had 2 of the problems, as my husband is very handy and often fills his pockets with debris and doesn't always get his pockets cleaned out before his pants go into the wash! We will be more careful in the future. Thanks a million for the help!
This may have been posted 7 years ago. But it is still helping people. Mainly me who had no clue how to check any places. Learnt some new things about my washing machine too 🤣Thankfully the underwire was stuck in the sump hose. since if it got stuck in the heater it wouldve been a pain as it was in the front and I couldn't get the front panel to open 😅
Hi, thanks for your comment here...it's great to hear that our video has helped you to find and take out the stuck item! Hopefully your washing machine is up and running without any issues now.
Jesus Christ, maaan, you just probably saved my life, a lot of money and from more nerves and stress!!! 🙏🏼❤ 🙏🏼 It truly was just a stupid sock trapped between the inner and outer drum. Lost a whole day of trying to fix my washing machine and there was such an easy fix the whole time. 🙈🤣 Tomorrow I'm gone try the machine and hopefully it will work. Thanks a lot!! ❤️❤️
Many thanks for this video, it was very helpful. There was a terrible noise during the the spin cycle. I removed the heater followed by the sump pipe and managed to find the culprit a £1 coin, thanks.
Hi, thanks for your comment...really good to hear that our video has helped you to remove the stuck item, and hopefully your washing machine is working great now!

Thanks for the tips to resolve this problem. It helped me figure out what was wrong. I had to eventually remove the drain hose to get a stuck sock from the inner drum.
thank you so much I noticed yesterday I had a missing underwire and my spin cycle was loud. I found the underwire and took the underwire out. Now I can wash more laundry
man you have just saved me a costly repair bill and hours of wasted time!! my drum was grating, got a torch and found the end of a cotton bud stick poking out of a hole! my daughter is obsessed with the things, will be having words with her lol cheers :)
Thanks for the comments Mark, it's worth mentioning where there has been one bud others may have passed to the filter at the bottom of the machine. If these manage to move a little they will jam the pump and your machine will stop full of water so check this now before you have a problem.
Hi ,my cloth fell between d drum and d outer machine while I was wiping d rubber on d top laoder Samsung machine.pls advice me how do remove the cloth.I'm so scared to use d machine

Hi, thanks for your compliment on our video, we hope you have since been able to solve the issue you are having with your washing machine, and it's all fine now.
never lay a washing machine on its side with the soap tray high , i did that once a tiny amount of water left in the soap tray dripped onto the top pcb blowing it when i pluged the machine in
I dropped a blueberry down the detergent drawer which then went down the whole underneath. I doubt I could find it but I hope it will just rot and flush away. It’s soft so hopefully won’t do any damage but I welcome your thoughts on it.
Very helpful. There's definitely something between the drums or in the heater, but not as visible, cable tie isn't finding anything, and I can't seem to get into the heater as it appears to be stuck. Have you other suggestions for accessing the gap between drums?
The video suggests removing the heater or the sump hose, we have videos for both so persevere with removing the heater as shown here: ruclips.net/video/CCCEsalzzbY/видео.html
Just used a torch & managed to find and then remove a bra wire from the drum. Thanks for making this and saving me money having to call someone out to do a 1 minute job 😄
Thanks for the comments Karys, Check the holes as the bra wire may have caused a sharp edge that can catch the clothes. If you find a sharp edge use a cross head screwdriver to carefully push the sharp edge back.
Hi guys. Hopefully you’ll see this. I had a medium sized nail (as in the ones you hammer) stuck, just like the bra wire in your video. It made the machine make a lot of noise for the good last 10 minutes of a wash, when the centrifuge started. When I pulled it out, it had been bent a bit. Hopefully it only scratched the inside of the outer drum, but is that bad?
Thanks for the video. On my Hotpoint Aqualtis, there is a massive gap between the seal and the drum. It came like it and I am worried about things like socks getting stuck down it. We have already had a colour catcher stuck in the pump.
There has to be a gap between the front of the drum and the seal as if the wash load gets out of balance it can slightly twist the drum and cause it to rub on the seal. You can use a rubber mallet to knock the rim closer to the seal if the gap is excessive, takes a bit of time to get right but check there is no play in the bearings before considering this. I would expect to see a gap of around 5 mm.
Do you have any advice on how to retrieve an item lost from the (inlet?) water pipe please? An item was dropped in the detergent draw and down that water pipe during cleaning (toothbrush head). Will it just go down to the filter? currently trying to learn how a washing machine actually works.
I appreciate your instructions but found nothing so I tried to remove the heater as per your heater replacement video but even though it looked identical, it came out so far but could not budge it any further. I loosened the nut all the way and the bolt was pushed all the way in. It moved on the rubber and I could hear the heater knocking on the side as I struggled with bigger and bigger levers and even a bit of WD-40 but eventually gave up and put it all back together.
Hi Sapere Aude, it could be the reason you couldn't get the heater out is because there is something stuck stopping the heater, there is a sump hose underneath the machine which will give you another access point to have a look.
@@eSpares Thank you for taking the time to reply. The drum in my machine is not completely stuck, it is just very stiff. Sometimes it is quite rigid and sometimes it almost moves freely. When I tried to remove the heater, with great difficulty, I managed to pull it out about 10mm, at that point it was going no further but it did wiggle up and down so that I could hear the element hitting the drum. Because of where it is located in a corner by a door, I had to put it back together as it was an obstruction but also a pain to get in and out. Afterwards, the drum was relatively easy to move so I did a small wash which seemed okay. I may be moving in the coming months so I will take the opportunity to check it out again before reinstalling it.
Hi , we recently have bought a “recon” indisit washer/dryer- everything appears to work however the machine is noisy a high pitched whirring noise - I don’t think it’s the bearings on the drum - I’d say something to do with the motor ? Makes the noise more going clockwise any ideas 💡 I’m told the brushes have been done - I should add the drum spins free by hand
Hi Do one, the easiest way to test the motor is to remove the drive belt and put it on, make sure it is back together before you test it for safety, also check the suspension.

Thanks a lot Mat I managed to pull out the bra wire just the way you did it. Thanks for saving money.

So this is how I get my stepsister out. Thank you!!
Very helpful. There's definitely something between the drums or in the heater, but not as visible, cable tie isn't finding anything, and I can't seem to get into the heater as it appears to be stuck. Have you other suggestions for accessing the gap between drums?
The video suggests removing the heater or the sump hose, we have videos for both so persevere with removing the heater as shown here: ruclips.net/video/CCCEsalzzbY/видео.html
eSpares thank you
This video saved my life. Thanks man!
Hi Selorm Johnson-Agboli, thank you for letting us know and we are glad to help.
Hopefully it only scratched the inside of the outer drum, but is that bad?
very thorough thank you !
Hi, thanks for your comment. Nice to hear that you appreciated this video.
An unholy noise.. you tubed you guys .. bra wire stuck .. pulled it out.. no unholy noise.. a million thanks guys and dolls
Hi Paul, well done for sorting it out and hopefully our video helped.
Good clear tutorial, nice one, thank you.
Thanks Kevin, hope it has helped.
thank you very much for the video, my washing matching back to work after removing stuck cloth
Hi Sunil A Williams, glad our video helped.

Hi Stephen, thanks for your comment. Nice to hear that our video has helped to solve your problem, well done for keeping your washing machine going!
Great video, found the wire no problem
Hi BurtonJaz, glad the video helped.
Huge help thank you!
Hi Jared, you are welcome glad our video helped.
Thanks for the instructions. Saved me a lot of money. These damn socks...
Hi Wilko S, if you are regularly losing socks then a sock bag might be the answer, they zip up so you don't lose any and wash normally.
Thank you very much for the helpful information! It helped me to remove bra wire in 10 minutes.
Hi and thanks for your comment, glad to here you have been able to remove the stuck item with help from our video!
how??
are all washing machines have the same structure???
Very helpful. Thank you!
😊
What does sharp washing and dry do get warm when try dry clothes
Hi Anneka, we are sorry but don't understand your question.
Thanks bro for valuable information.
Hi Bhupender, glad you enjoyed the video. Remember to like and subscribe for more helpful videos in the future.
Woo I got lucky was poking out of one of the holes so I could take it out by hand, great video though
Hi, thanks so much for your comment here! Glad you have been able to easily remove the item that was stuck inside your drum.
I laid my machine on it's side and it has distorted the outer drum, owing to the weight of the concrete block on top of the drum can it be rectified.
can you wash if one of the pedals is missing
Thanks for nice instructive vid!
Hi Anders, glad you liked the video.
