I practically never comment on RUclips but I couldn't resist. Young man, this was a super intense workout for me. A lot of the super hype stuff on RUclips is mostly fluff and a sales pitch, but you get right to work and keep it simple (right up my alley). Your version of simple does NOT mean easy! I find your no BS approach to coaching and training very refreshing. I'm a 50 year old, out of shape BJJ White belt looking to improve my conditioning and trying to improve a little each day. I admit that I couldn't hang with you the entire time, but I'll keep doing these and someday I hope to do the entire workout! I definitely subscribed. Look forward to your future content.

I'm already preparing my soul for this tomorrow. I know it's gonna suck, as you said, it always does, every single time. But it is not about doing it easily, it is about going through with it. The biggest benefit that I have been noticing to doing your workouts is the mind-soul-heart training. It breeds savage self-talk. The way my body is changing is just an epiphenomenon. I feel the carryover to all areas of my life, I can do my work (PhD student here) for longer, I can work on my amateur writing for longer, I feel more creative, more on top of my shit, more lethal physically and mentally.
Like you say, my brother: you are tired, but guess what? NOBODY GIVES A FUCK, get down and do your burpees, push your limits, learn what they are and go beyond them.
I am gonna come off quarantine a new man. Mad mad mad respect for you, Iron Wolf. You are the mentor we need here on youtube.

I love this, I'm all about body weight workouts. Anyone could do these exercises and modify the workout to their fitness level. So for me, I'll probably start off doing only 5 burpees and 15 of all the other exercises. Burpees wind me right out haha!
The problem I find with most calisthenics videos, is that you need a lot of strength and skill to even do some basic things such as the L sit. But this is straight cardio, no fancy shit, just work your ass off! Love it :)

Hit your max set one day, the next day do legs and abs, build strength and focus on recovery until moving to the next rep

What was the turning point for you those years ago where you decided not to do weights and instead do burpees and calisthenics, was there an event, injury or anything in particular?

    • @IronWolf84
      @IronWolf84  4 года назад +3

I just get a better workout with calisthenics and I can workout anywhere with no gym, I also like the faster paced training

I am wondering why there are thumbs down to this video, or any of Art's videos.
The Wolfpack appreciates your programming and we are learning to do the work with no BS, thank you sir (I am a few years older than you but you command that level of respect)!

Dude, there are thumbs down on videos of people helping the elderly; stop trying to make sense of social media "values"
For example you could have a video, simply educational, explaining water molecules and I guarantee you numerous people will downvote it. I'm guessing the thought process is "pfft, I disagree, water also plasma with an arsenic molecule" ... or something equally asinine
Because it's the internet, it's not a good way to try and understand human behavior. If you turn this off a few years (yes, I've done this, in fact haven't owned a smartphone in approaching 8 years now, for 2 of those years didn't have a phone at all, even a burner) you will discover internet trends and popularity are rarely what any who does NOT spend their time "socializing" online cares about.
Most of the time they have no idea what you're talking about, nor will they care.
TL; DR: stop trying to understand human behavior from a screen, particularly the rising and falling of a number (upvotes, like, etc)

Bodyweight is my life. It saved my life! But man when my friends pressured me into benching, squats, and deadlift i went from 180lbs to 240lbs. Yes i got stronger and became a big guy. But now i can't run and I forgot how to muscle up 😂😭 my shoulders cant handle it after all the weight I gained.

Those exercise didnt get you there, its your calorie intake. You can lift heavy and work on this aspect of training to a certain point.

Wrong weights. Train really havy ones just to train your nervous system and gain strenght not much muscle. I do weights but only basic exercises and max 4 reps. I am not gaining muscles but I can see strenght going up. I can jump higher and run faster.
