    I'm still not entirely sure how the interleaving method works. Could someone please explain what applying the interleaving sheets in practice would look like? Is he just studying different subjects all in one day? I don't mean this as a criticism I'm actually just confused.

    Hi Atty. I dont understand quite well the concept of Interleaving, particularly as to how I'd correlate topics of diff modules and areas of law. Can I humbly ask if you can elaborate it further? Thanks!
    Also, what app do you use for progressive summarization?
    This helps a lot! Thank you 💚

    • @heygarethevans
      @heygarethevans  3 года назад +7

      Hey, thanks for the questions!
      Firstly, with interleaving in law, the point is you don't want to just revise the different modules/areas together. For example, it's not efficient to revise ONLY land law on Monday, ONLY criminal law on Tuesday, etc. It's a far better use of your time to revise multiple different modules in one day. For example, on Monday you could revise something from land law, criminal law, and commercial law. Then on Tuesday you could revise from another three different modules or something like that.
      And the interleaved study sheet helps you do this. By writing down the topics you've already revised from all your different modules, you can see what stuff you know well and what you know less well. Then when you sit down to revise, you just choose to learn your weakest topics (regardless of the module), which automatically helps you to interleave your study. Does that make sense?
      The app I use for progressive summarisation is Notion. It's a brilliant app and I literally manage my entire life using it, so it's 100% worth checking out!
      Thanks for watching 😁

      @@heygarethevans Hi Atty.! Thank you for your response! I truly appreciate it ☺️ I find it difficult for me to go to class since I can't finish all my readings. Our legal education here in the PH employs the Socratic method. Hence, too many things to memorize all in one day 😪 In this regard, can I also ask as to how do you review law materials, from cases and the annotations of the law in its rawest form up to its consolidated form (e.g. it's already in flash cards or progessively summarized?). It would really help me to use my time and brain (LOL) efficiently huhu. Thank you so much! I am a fan of both you and your channels, and I hope I'll get to be trained by you in the future!

    How many question should there be max for a topic?

    • @heygarethevans
      @heygarethevans  3 года назад +1

      Although it would depend on the particular topic, I try to ensure there is no more than 50 questions in a topic (e.g, Registered Land) and a maximum of 10 questions in each sub-topic (e.g. overriding interests)! Ideally you would be creating questions on the most important pieces of information and not things you already know quite well, which should help to keep it short 😁
