- I have used many different floating shelf support brackets. This is a new bracket that I found on Amazon that was only $20, it is called a SpzcdZa 4pcs 6-2/5" Floating Shelf Invisible Support Bracket. I normally use only Shepard Brackets as they are the best floating shelf bracket on the market in my option. However, they are a bit pricy and these were significantly cheeper. In the episode I will show you how to prepare your floating shelf and wall to properly install them. This is very important for making sure everything alines correctly. If done in correctly these brackets could cause you a lot of pain and suffering so be sure to watch the full video for all the tips and tricks to properly install these brackets. If you don't want to deal with the trouble I recommend going with a Shepard bracket. Over al these brackets did the job however leveling them was a bit challenging.

Great Channel boss!! Short and sweet vids but packed with great info and energy!!!
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
i've looked at so many vids about fitting floating shelves. yours in the first with a god solution to getting the holes to match up! many thanks
Thanks glad to help
I was thinking of using 3/8 hanger bolts, coupling nuts, washers to go against the stud to stiffen it and a matching threaded rod to make it longer, it should give a similar result. I'm not sure about looseness I think the double nut might remove it but we'll see.
that sounds like it will work. I like the idea :)
How in the world do you remove those brackets? I'm trying to remove my floating shelf but I can't get the brackets out of the wall 🤦🏻♀️
They are push in brackets, there are no screws that attach them to the floating shelf. you should be able to just pull the shelf out. Then you can unscrew the bracket from the wall, this can only be done after you pull your shelf off.
@@HowYouCanMakeIt Thanks for replying, I've got the shelf off but I either don't have the right tool or the strength 😂 to get the bracket out the wall
Update, hitting with a hammer and then using pliers to unscrew is working 👌🏻
that is good to know. thanks for sharing.
That looks really good! I hate how your door isn't centered though 🤣
Thanks but I decided to center it to the wall and not the door. Gave me more space
@@HowYouCanMakeIt I meant the actual door being centered on the wall lol
Oh haha yeah that was an issue with my builder when I build the house lol
Hi there? Why didn’t you used the supplied wall anchors?
It was installed above a door that had a 10in beam behind the drywall
@@HowYouCanMakeIt Ok Thank you
👍🏻
Is that dry wall? Did you align the drilled holes with the studs? Or is the shelf and its contents so light in weight that you can just use these brackets in the drywall panel itself without using the supplied anchors? Or did you use the anchors and just not show this on the video?
it is going directly in to the door header so no drywall anchors. You could use drywall anchors you just would need to be sure they are rated for the weight you plan on putting on the shelf.
@@HowYouCanMakeIt or just find the studs beforehand and match your holes to them
that is one way
if the Support Bracket size is fi12, what size do you use to drill the hole in the shelve? 12 as well? I find it so hard to put one into the other.... I was considering using wider drill... maybe my drill is not an exact fi12...
That is the tricky part. I had to make sure I had a drill bit long and wide enough.
When you put the Shelf Support Bracket into the holes in the wall, how come you didn't just put it in the drill chuck and screw it in?
I wanted to make sure it was aligned correctly
@@HowYouCanMakeIt oh, I thought you already had it aligned correctly since that is where you started twisting into the wall. I thought you already had your pilot hole in the correct spot.
How do you remove the brackets from the wall?
You just pull it out. There are no screws. They kind of compression fit.
So I see you have the Lego Green Grocer there...how much ya want for it? lol
Haha opened it is worth about $900 but to me it is priceless it was my first one I got out of the series
What size drill bit you use for the hole in the wall and the wood ?
1/2" here is the link amzn.to/2YnaL7L
