Hard to believe this was 20 years ago today.

Truly....so different there in the video in 2001 compared to 2021 as in President Biden's Inauguration Ceremony of 2021 far fewer people and in middle of Covid, and with 2001 the transfer of power from Clinton who already served two full terms down to Bush unlike from losing one-term incumbent Trump to Biden and with Trump not attending Biden's ceremony.

George Walker Bush was born on Saturday July 6,1946 in New Haven,Connecticut on the same date as Sylvester Stallone!
I was scheduled to attend Yale last year for a conference and so excited to attend right amid pandemic, which still going on. Had to cancel my trip and was so excited to explore New Haven, hopefully one day though.

Why didn't George W. Bush didn't mention Gerald Ford and Ronald Reagan at the beginning?
I heard they were not physically there at the inauguration.
Also Ford had just had a stroke the previous August and Reagan was in the late stage of alzhiemers.

I really imagine what his Presidency would be like had 9/11 not happened. Heck, can someone document what his first 8 months were like in 2001?
His biggest initiatives were bolstering support for No Child Left Behind, Faith based programs, his tax cuts package, rejection of the Kyoto Protocol, and his stance against federal funding for stem cell research. Foreign policy at the time was what our relations with China would look like in the future and he met with some foreign leaders such as Vicente Fox and John Howard. Looked like an ordinary presidency up to that point.
