  • Perhaps a little daunted by the challenges he inherited, Barack Obama was sworn in as America's first black president on January 20, 2009.

Trump doesn't look presidential on his best days. Likewise, he rarely sounds like a POUTS, as we know. You would think that an (overweight) billionaire would wear better-fitting and tailored suits. Instead, he looks sloppy in clothes seemingly from a clearance rack.

Obama took away my affordable health insurance (Obamacare), then he gave military weapons to the south American drug cartels (operation fast and furious), then he gave $1.7 billion in cash to Iran and allowed them to start enriching uranium (joint comprehensive plan of action). Then he cut funding for Israel's missile defense. Then he gave Syrian rebels training and weapons and Toyota's to fight Assad, (operation timber sycamore)(Syrian train and equip program) then the rebels magically became ISIS moved into northern Iraq displacing 400,000 people, so obama ordered a massive weapons drop to dead kurdish fighters that went straight to ISIS. I made a reservation at a place that was showing the inauguration and reserving tables. The place was packed....but it was silent. Everyone in there had their eyes glued to the TV, listening to every word. I never cared about politics. I DIDN'T care about politics. But so many of us wanted change, and Obama's words spoke to so many of us. I had tears streaming down my face at one point, and I couldn't believe how emotional I got. Welp, fast forward to today.....and I'm getting choked up all over again after everything we've been experiencing. I miss Obama. I miss having a President who knew what leadership meant. #VOTE

A truly historic moment and another 4yrs later. The man is a class act. And his presidency was really the classiest since Kennedy's. Thankfully we again have a REAL President and Vice President back in the White House. 💙🇺🇸

I was attending college at the alma mater that I currently reside from nearly three miles away from as of now when this particular U.S. Presidential figure was elected during his respective tenures during my recent experiences growing up, though his initial election was when that alma mater in question was under its last legs as Adirondack Community College. I can't believe I'm going to be 35 years old as of next month, as I certainly do remember seeing this on a plasma screen TV at my aforementioned alma mater in which I remember attending college during my respective experiences growing up.

Well, we've had a few solid presidents - I believe FDR was pretty good too. I would definitely put Obama in the upper tier, nonetheless. After all, Obama had to face a level of hostility for at least one aspect that no president before him was subject to. Regardless, history will reflect favorably on Obama as it should.
