He and the others did what is expected. Will always remember, taking a break from work. Several of us, went upstairs, to the only TV in the office. Sat there mesmerized. Chasing the tears away. Sure could use him now days. He was a man with a vision and really did help out. Am so glad that I finally found this.
I agree with you. I come from the middle east, and when I see Obama's leadership, I put his mistakes and pitfalls aside. As a human being and an individual, he is genuine, clean and comes right from the roots of the society. His leadership is among the finest and you are lucky to have him for another 4 years
This is so inspiring because he's our modern day version of MLK, and people in the crowd are looking at him in that kind of way. This is history guys, 100 years from now people will be studying him and this era of politics, lets all appreciate this at least.
This is me as a Nigerian watching this in 2023 and I feel more alive to behold the finest President to ever walk the surface of the earth. He's postured with leadership qualities, humility, and human decency. God bless America.
This video makes me more than a little proud- a very meaningful speech. Without fail I watch political videos online and have to read the meaningless assertions/accusations that people who have never seen one another launch at one another in the video comment section. Even small actions such as these do us no favors as a functioning, unified people, and I hope that we can at least try to get past our own differences so that we don't impede the rights of others of equal value. I'm hopeful.

Even if we didn't vote for Obama, we must continually lift him up in prayer that our nation can again define values by true integrity instead of media - if we intend on pleasing everyone we will please no one.
Bravo! "We, the people, declare today that the most evident of truths - that all of us are created equal - is the star that guides us still; just as it guided our forebears through Seneca Falls, and Selma, and Stonewall; just as it guided all those men and women, sung and unsung, who left footprints along this great Mall, to hear a preacher say that we cannot walk alone; to hear a King proclaim that our individual freedom is inextricably bound to the freedom of every soul on Earth."
Trump could never stand in his shoes!!! NEVER! It’s a shame that trumpy came after this great, gentle, intelligent, compassionate soul! God bless the Obama’s and the Biden’s! They tried and made our nation respected by the world!
Love Obama lots and in 2 weeks his VP Biden will deliver the inaugural address as President. Miss you Obama always and you are a golden gem and golden being.
What a president! What a speech! Man… I sure do miss president Obama. I was too young to vote for him when he ran for president, but I would’ve voted for him in a heartbeat.
Love all the haters here....sad to see but then again America is a free country and that's what makes this country a free one. And with that knowledge I congratulate our President.
I don't think that is the best reason to vote for a President. I support my rights too, but of all the things that matter, this issue is not the most important. It will be nice to have rights in a country that doesn't exist if it keeps falling apart like it is now.
I like what President Obama said about renewable energy and how America needs to be at the forefront of it. I completely agree. Renewable is the future and there's no use in fighting it. If our nation can lead the world into this new age, it will mean continued prosperity for generations of Americans to come.
I do not like to be labeled. Too restrictive. While there is some truth to it, I refuse to call myself a gamer, a nerd, a Trekkie, a homosexual, or refer to myself as white, atheist or well-off. However, there is something about this man that inspires me like no other to say with the greatest pride... ...I am an American.
Don't you have anything better to do than to negatively criticize our president? What have you done for our country? Go read a book, go reach out to those who need help, and stop being that ignorant person who only sees the negative and not the positive.
I realize that President Obama has many critics. I’m sure they have their good points-of-view. But to me, the President is one of the best presidents the USA has ever had. He took over when the nation was in its worst condition. And I do believe our nation is getting better through his leadership. I’m glad he made a second term.
I hate to say it, but you couldn't be more wrong. If the things you mentioned in your post really matter to you, take the time to do a little research - it doesn't take long to simply scan articles and/or policies, but be open to all perspectives - there is a lot of bias out there, but you'll find the truth if you look.
14:48 my favorite part of the whole speech. Whether you like Obama or not, this is the first time a US President has mentioned support for gay rights during an inaugural speech. Good news is that same-sex marriage will soon be legal throughout the whole US!
There will always be some who refuse to see, but many of us already do, and our numbers can grow if we educate people on what leftism really is. They're own life experience under Obama may help as well. Only time will tell.
-voted for it (some thought that title 2 and 7 of that bill were unconstituional). 2. It doesn't take away from the fact that they voted for abolition, anti-lynching laws, the 14th, and 15th Amendments, the Civil Rights Acts of 1875, 1957, 1960, and 1964, and let's not forget about women's right to vote! Dems, largely, fought against passage of EACH! Today's Repub still favors those rights regardless of leftist dogma which claims otherwise.

That is the greatest man alive!
I miss him every single day.
I love and respect our President and his amazing first family.

What an eloquent president. It is hard to believe the monstrosity that followed him.
This is me as a Nigerian watching this in 2023 and I feel more alive to behold the finest President to ever walk the surface of the earth. He's postured with leadership qualities, humility, and human decency. God bless America.
Obama is an institution of democracy and good governance
14:50 was my favorite part of the speech.

As Americans we should be saying thank you you to this man and his family for wanting to continue to try and fix the mess he was handed 4 years ago.
The economic crisis of 2008 was partially caused by Clinton when he repealed the glass stegall act in his second term

When we think of the American Dreams we think of President Obama
Watching in 2022 ❤️

His smartness and intelligence and charisma came from the colored side of the family. : )
This man knows the real meaning of what being American is. History will judge this man as the greatest man of this century....

There is no worse job.
Thank god for the simple life.
Love this man my favorite president happy birthday president Barack Obama best president ever 44obama all day
They don't say that for any of the others...Do they?
I don't know why Americans are fixated with the name Hussein. It means 'good', 'handsome' or 'beautiful'.
President Barack Obama set such a high bar that's a bit difficult to reach. That's why #45 could only flail about with so much jealousy.
I think you make an excellent point, miss atlas. In my head I'm hearing the voice of Wanda Sykes reading your comment. :)
What a day.
No matter what you think he is the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, and a PROUD AMERICAN.
🎉🎉🎉 Thank you Mr President Obama ❤
I feel this way because I'm ignorant. I disagree on nothing. I think he should make America good.

Oh my goodness gracious, where are your manners?
Don't you have anything better to do than to negatively criticize our president? What have you done for our country? Go read a book, go reach out to those who need help, and stop being that ignorant person who only sees the negative and not the positive.

One cannot reason with unreasonable people. Your response shows you to be such an one. Therefore you will be ignored hereafter.

@jack romano. I was comparing barry obama and napoleon Bonaparte insatisble appetite for power and control.
Uh... Obama didn’t refuse to leave when his term was over. Trumps talking like he’s gonna bethere 12 years.
