Hi beautiful knitters! I can not stop thinking about Everleaf Sweater by Sallyknit after creating this video, it stole my heart 💔 Which pattern have you fallen in love with?
I’m absolutely in love with Everleaf sweater too! As someone with sloped shoulders I feel it’ll create a very nice silhouette. The cables going over the shoulder create a shoulder pad effect. My dear sweater is do gorgeous too! Thank you for introducing us to new designers, they are so talented and yet I never heard of most of them. It’s very refreshing after an overload of Petiteknit and MFTK content 😅
@@alinay4322 Thank you very much for kind words 🤗 this sweater is truly amazing , and should fit nicely! I am also having a true pleasure when finding unpopular but wonderful designs, it’s a pleasure to be able to share them here ♥️
Definitely Everleaf! I had bookmarked it a while ago, but now I'm ready to cast it on soon. The ravelry page says: "The Everleaf Sweater features a relaxed drop- shoulder design that achieves natural shoulder shaping through the gauge difference between the cable and seed stitch textures." So there's shaping... but just by the nature of the pattern.
I love seeing designers from different countries, and I can’t believe I’ve been overlooking Korean and Japanese designs. So many beautiful details on timeless silhouettes, with carefully thought out construction. I’ll definitely be adding one of these to this years knitting plans!
beautiful collection! I love how particular you are about fit - so helpful! I've spent too much money and time on sweaters that are ill-fitting, and am not experienced enough to know what to look for in a pattern. Love your podcast!
Thank you very much 🤗 I am so happy of my videos help in any way 🫶 so true about spending a lot of money/time on yarn/projects and getting “average” fit. I want it to be perfect or at least good enough to enjoy wearing it 😁
always so wonderful to sit down with you and wind down a little bit 💗 can't wait to see how many new ravelry faves i'll end up with again by the end of the video
Thank you for highlighting these exquisite designs! I have also been searching with Japan and Korea as the Designer Country on Ravelry because of that kind of meticulous design that leads to such an effortless and harmonious outcome. I have fallen for the Everleaf now, too! I also agree about short rows in the sleeve head. My favourite tee pattern is Lily Kate France’s ‘Feels Right’ because it has those short rows that stop the sleeve from pulling, twisting or bagging out in the wrong direction. I’ve also been watching Maya Tinks - lovely to hear how she is endeavouring to design for form and function in similar ways. Thanks for the inspiration and the refined sense of fit that you share 🥰
@@verylikecheryl thank you very much for a mindful warm comment! Everleaf in that warm rosy color doesn’t leave my head 🫠 That tee is wonderful! I want to knit this for summer in 2025. Another great patterns I love that have short rows on the sleeve cap are: Cara Wrap by Rebecca Clow, Pachira sweater by twin knits, tulip loop sweater by other loops 🫶
Wow Evgeniya - inspirational podcast thank you. I love the way you relate about the yarn choice being so important to the end result. I am completely just discovering the same. It makes sense of course. Unusual that we don't have more educators on yarn combos and fabric created. We also need a larger vocabulary on descriptions of the resultant fabric don't we? Much like the eskimos having SO many descriptions of types of snow. Love your podcast and wonderful education for us all on yarn and patterns 🥰❤
Thank you Sharon, for another wonderful comment 🤗 I so much agree with the need on expanding the descriptive vocabulary within the knitting theme overall. I am trying to find more words to transmit the feelings of yarns, the fabric and designs and it seems not so easy for me yet 😅 Fiber is everything, and as you said, can change a lot in the finished garment. I hope you have a great Sunday and thank you for watching ♥️🥰
Hello Evgeniya, thank you so much for showcasing designers and yarns which are not so well known in the west! You speak very knowledgeably about the different design elements, which I find helpful. I would love to make the first sweater for my husband. We will see if I make it: I also have so much on my needles just now. I have used De Rerum Natural Ulysses, it is very nice to knit with and gives good stitch definition in my opinion. However, it does feel a bit rustic. I do not mind, but I would probably not choose it for a gift knit. Happy knitting to you!
Thank you very much for kind words! And it’s very good to know that the yarn is rustic towards the skin. I am always afraid to knit an entire sweater and not be able to wear it. Regarding the gift knit for your husband, I don’t know what you are looking for regarding the gauge and design, but I suggest you to look at Olena Sitslkina’s designs, she is a Ukrainian designer. Super smart constructions. Not many designs and all of them are basic but they will fit perfectly on men. She has female versions as well.
@@nikitinaknits thank you for the recommendation, the Kutik sweater looks good! I like the saddle shoulder construction a lot. I want to make something for my husband which fits very well…
Thank you very much, Heike! I am glad you found it inspiring! Minna No Sweater is still on my list too, I will have to cast it on this spring, hopefully 🤍
I’m knitting the “my dear sweater” at the moment! It is a top down in the round raglan and it is quite a mindful project for me, it had me rethink the way I purl 😂
Hi there! I just added a reply on this. I have the pattern, how did you solve the problem with the missing legendas? At least I could not find the charts legendas anywhere. How did you decode the charts? Thanks for the help if you can!
@@taccusos hello 👋 I just checked my chart pdf’s and they all have one legenda on the first page, along with links to short videos on how to do each stitch / cable, maybe you missed it? Or maybe there was an update to the pattern in which case you could probably get the new version
I always love your round up videos! such gorgeous designs. Based on your design choices, I think you'd really like the green tea pullover by Ttoreu Byeon!! Another korean design that's avaliable in english
How did you get interested in all these Korean designers? I am a Korean American and I am shamed! I am discovering designers from my home country, thanks to you.
@@postulatedspace I am happy you find it useful and interesting 🤗 To be honest, the knitting Instagram started to recommend some of the Korean designs and most of them were only available in Korean. So I got really interested to put my effort finding those which are also in English, and which seem to be more less clear to follow :) I got a bit obsessed and had to start speaking about them here on RUclips 🤭 Overall, I think their style fits my taste a lot, and I love that they are not afraid of creating complicated designs and also release small sizes. I am xs and I don’t like huge sweaters on me, and very often I can’t find my sizes among European/American designs, so Korean ones help in this case as well 🥰
Hallo, danke für das tolle Video ❤❤❤könntest du bitte " automatische Übersetzung " am Computer aktivieren??? Das wäre super und ich könnte es in deutscher Sprache sehen!!! Liebe Grüße 😊😊
I imagine the writing style could have some differences, but to be honest I can’t tell yet since I haven’t knitted a lot from Korean/Japanese designs yet. Maybe you could ask some active knitters from Korea or Japan, they should give you more info on that 🤍
I bought ‘my dear sweater’ pattern. There is NO legendas for the charts. The charts are beautiful but very ornate. I found it impossible to knit it as the legendas are very important to me: I don’t want to go online and find a legenda, if I am not sure that this is what she meant. Anybody has knitted it? How did you solve the problem?
I don’t have the pattern, so unfortunately I can’t tell anything :( try to reach out to people on Instagram who have testknitted it, or to the designer itself 🤍
@ I did try some of them and no reply. I think it may be a language barrier. As you are proposing the pattern - or selecting it - I thought you may have some insight on it. I have never come across a pattern without a chart legenda before, I was not really expecting it….
It’s there not missing, check if you downloaded everything. You will have 2 files, one general instruction and one your selected size chart. It’s on the first page of the size chart
