Diode Dynamics LED light upgrade / 2020 Hellcat Charger.

- A new car means I need to start making it my own. That starts with little things like these LED interior bulb upgrades from Diode dynamics. For the most part they are simple to install and Diode Dynamics makes great products and offer a 3 year warranty to protect you against defects. These will maker a great addition to any charger be it a SXT, RT, Scatpack or Hellcat. Or really any car, truck or bus with nasty yellow looking light bulbs.

Just did this swap last week. FYI, for the map lights it’s easier to just pop out the entire center cluster with a trim removal tool. There are only 4 spring clips holding it in. The 194 lights come out from the back with a quarter turn of the holder. This way you won’t risk damaging your plastic lens covers trying to pry them out.
Hell yeah. Good info there. Never would have thought removing the entire thing would be Easier than just the lens cover

Glad you're back in the Charger camp. I kind of lost interest during your Camaro phase and almost unsubscribed. And it took me a while to find your channel after the name change, so I turned on notifications. I've always enjoyed your videos though. I find them very informative since you explain what you're doing. At some point, I hope you'll do a commentary on the handling of the wide body vs the normal body (like your 2018 Scat). Cheers!

Сергей They do not sell them as a kit on their website. You can search my vehicle and they are labeled as to where they go.
Yeah the only reason i didn't buy this brand is cuz they don't come in a kit. Better to get from Amazon they sell them in kits for way way way less than these and are exactly the same brighness.
David Lopez a lot less quality. I don’t see the issue with adding the lights you need to the cart. What’s the fascination with a kit. Maybe they don’t want to make you buy a kit if all you want are the map light bulbs. I doubt if you placed them side by side the brightness of color would be the same. Also diode dynamics gives a 3 year warranty on all their LED’s.

I saw some projecting lights that project the hellcat logo onto the ground. They come in a pack of 2. I saw them on ebay
Mr dark man yeah I have seen those I just don’t really dig them. I just want a bright white puddle light.
My 2020 Charger Scat Pack has those factory led map lights as well. Pretty unfortunate that dodge added those. I honestly don’t even want to do this upgrade now because I know it would bother me with them not matching lol
Brad Morrow I think you are mistaken. I have a 2020 hellcat and it didn’t have factory LED interior lights. They did not put LED’s in the car for interior lights ever.
Knight's Garage The two lights that are soldered in next to the map lights are led panels. Thats why you can’t replace them because its not just a standard bulb like the rest. There are also factory led’s in the footwells that can’t be replaced. They are led’s they just don’t look bright white like most led’s. More of a warm white.
@@NobodySafeJB I see what you are saying. the only ones that look out of place after installing these LED's are the map lights. i may do what honestly ocd did and just take them out so they wont come on at all. I never use them anyway. Or i can look into what LED i need to buy to solder in there and make them match. The ones in the door handles, foot wells, etc.. are not that big a deal. you need those to be not as bright anyway.
Knight's Garage yeah i saw his video as well. Disconnecting them would probably be the easiest route. I have seen where some people take black electrical tape and put it over the lense as well lol. Dodge always has to go and add something that makes modifications to these cars more difficult lmao
@@NobodySafeJB i am definitely not gonna be putting black tape on the lenses.. lol it is only in the hellcats too. i haven't seen a scat with those extra map lights up there.
Where did you buy the black hellcat logo door sills ?

They do not on the diode dynamics website. You have to add each one to your cart.
@@KnightsGarage thanks man, appreciate it, the only thing is lisence plate bulbs, they say on their website challanger 2008-2015, i have 2018, but i guess the bulbs are the same
