I'll be real that emission chimera encounter just sounds like a bad save on your part and not a bug with the game lol, this game teaches some brutal lessons about saving either too little or too much and that sort of situation can happen in most games. It took me 3-4 deaths to realize they don't expect you to kill the chimera they want you to run straight past it and book it to the clear sky base, it stops chasing you after you go through the first hut
Good to see someone with more pull than me cover some issues. I've been pointing out the A.I. issues which were immediately noticeable to me coming straight from clear sky and CoP before Stalker 2's release, so ALife's wide, complex net was fresh in my head. The infinite enemy spawns in POI's, the world being empty outside of 90m of the player, and the broken mutant A.I. has really killed the immersion for me. The potential is there, they just need to find practical way to get the game optimized so they can begin to funnel resources back into ALife, because as I've proven, as the game stands right now ALife is entirely missing and there's no persistent NPC's outside of bases.
My game has been working alright but i can't see any side quest related dialogue, characters that should have side quests only have the "whats new around the zone" option.
Completed the game in 72 hours, didn't run into any soft locks. running 3080ti, on all high settings solid 120 fps, the only fps drops I had in pripyat, went dowt to 70-60 fps. It is unreal engine 5, it is very demanding, will be waiting for devs to polish the game!
@YouGotTheL not that many other options. I still think that ue 4 would be more than enough, well optimized with good picture, dead island 2 is good example
i have a patchwork fix for the zalyssia problem: after you leave sirca get as fast as you can to that town, because if a emission hits it buggs out. i guess the monolith ki tries to find shelter and then breaks because they are in a building they shouldnt be in. testet it for hours after i saw a reddit post
If I sold my products unfinished at full price, I would lose my job. So how are developers getting away with it? Also, why play this game, when you can play a completely polished and epic game like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle???
Different experiences. I wouldn’t buy Fallout 4 if I wanted to play a coop shooter, just the same as I wouldn’t buy modern CoD when I wanted something like Tarkov.
They get away with it because consumers continue to buy their unfinished products irrelevant of the quality especially where it is an ip. Why take risks with developing a whole new game when you can just remake an old one but with obviously far superior graphics but the downside is your AI is worse than its predecessor 14 years ago. But hey they promised they would fix it, a core gameplay function, but they had to get the unfinished full priced game out before xmas so they can make more money.
I wanted to play Stalker 2? Not indiana jones. Great game btw BUT yeah. I got the game on gamepass so I really lucked out cause only 12 dollars a month. But yeah.
Stalker 2 is eventually going to be an amazing game, when they fix the mountain of mission-breaking bugs and finally introduce the A-life system. Until then it's in a really rough state.
I feel about the same. I'm a little bit past the point you mentioned, and I'm holding off the main story for a while. As much as I want to progress to unlock Pripyat, I'm using this time to explore the zone and just play like a survival game for now, just to be safe.

I already got one ending and am taking a break from the game. There are things lacking from the experience that I wish were there, and I know they will be, but not for a while at least. A-Life is the most obviously missing feature - don't approach points of interest, and you're almost always guaranteed to never be attacked by mutants. Mutants should be an unpredictable threat when it comes to where they are encountered. The player should always on some level dread being jumped by any mutant no matter where they are (unless well within the confines of Rostok or any other friendly settlement) .In HoC, I never dread being attacked by Zone fauna unless I'm heading into a warehouse or underground or any other abandoned place built by human hands. Optimization is a close second in what's missing. The ping-ponging of the frames makes it hard for me to aim because it's like my mouse sensitivity changes on the fly. I've gone back to playing GAMMA and starting another story playthrough for the hundredth time. HoC will get there. I look forward to the heavier mods that don't use Skif as the protagonist, but for now, I'm letting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 have more time in the oven.
13:32 They are PC games first. You can play on any potato imaginable and complete the trilogy without loss in experience. Use mods to enhance experience. It's sounds stupid to say your words from video to you.
i have a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processer, 32 gb ram, good ssd and a radeon 6950, so i did not have any problems in any mission ever... not even have any major bugs.... after 80 hours of gameplay, game always runs at what feels like 120 fps with no lag o problems no matter where i man or what is going on on screen. i do have FSR high quality and frame generation turned on, but everything else is maxed out. also have some optimization mods on that helped
Same probelm here with the zalisia mission, ai spawns were all over the place and the side mission itself was a slog to get through befause of the ai bugging out. Only mission so far where i had to fight with the game to get the objectives compleated. Playing on xsx with no mods obviously.
For the Zalissya quest after SIRCAA... PHEW that was ALOT of trial and error... First full play: playing through main quest after I finish the one in the lesser zone, went to Zalissya was closed and couldn't enter... ok will let me enter later... Head to next zone message saying its gone, check map, all NPCs are gone. Find latest save BEFORE everything went to hell... 4+ hours lost, redo half of SIRCAA and set a hard save. SPRINT drop anything I don't need to see if it works when I get there, I get there and all hell breaks loose, YAY! LOAD hard save, and filter out what I want to keep vs drop; get to Zalissya, skipping everything else... DOOR IS LOCKED!!! REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! LOAD SAVE! DO IT AGAIN! CREATE A CLOSER HARD SAVE. DO IT AGAIN! DOOR IS LOCKED! LOAD SAVE! DO IT AGAIN! DOOR IS LOCKED! LOAD SAVE! DO IT AGAIN! IT WORKED! Spoiler without a spoiler, if you see boogeyman, that's a hostile faction notice, generally not a good thing and you might want to load a prior save if you like that faction. My final play through was around 90 hours and that doesn't include the time i had to go back and redo entire quest chains to get triggers to happen. *non-story spoiler warning* I'll also add I ABSOLUTELY understand why people want to be to play more after beating the game, you find multiple weapons that are notably better than anything before but you're never going to see a tech to upgrade any of them, and attachments you can't find anywhere else, and the only after you get locked out of the rest of the zone.
I stopped playing the performance is horrible and zalissia is bugged for me too. The arena is impossible to beat bc it turned into a slide show even when i dropped the settings to minimum. Im done. Installed gamma, I'll just play that.
I really love this game but it needs a lot of work. I get the bugs that need patched okay fine whatever. But after the SIRCAA mission all hell breaks lose. I’m borked at Zalisiya as well so I think I’m just gonna wait for a fix. A broken main quest on release is unacceptable honestly. I’ll forgive the other bugs but not that one.
It will take months if not years until this buggy mess of a video game is fixed so it can run like a normal video game without all the bugs and technical issues🎉good job on GSC team for releasing the game in this state👏🏻👏🏻👍
I am 80ish hours and the game is the buggiest game I have ever played. The devs should be embarrassed. I played on gamepass (activated for one month) to see if I wanted to buy. No way til they fix it.
Yep, Zalissya quest was broken for a lot of people (including me), not playing with any mods, personally I just want to enjoy the game in its fullest once its fixed instead of brute forcing it now and having a bad experience, GAMMA had a patch recently and I've had a lot of fun playing it lately. I do think most Stalker fans also kinda understand the dev context so at least personally I give it a lot of grace, also I'm already expecting a lot of great mods (and updates) coming to Stalker 2, I want NVGs, more scopes, more weapons, etc... which is to say, there is a great game already there to build on and improve on in the future.
I'd argue that the cracks have been showing since launch. It's really horrible. I finally had enough and uninstalled it a week ago and started to play GAMMA again and I have not looked back, man. The new GAMMA update is SO, goddamn good. All the new gear and fantastic animations..! I can only recommend you go back to GAMMA too and wait a year or two for GSC to fix S2. It's a damn shame to see it in this state and one day I'm sure they'll fix it but for now there still only is one, true King and his name is GAMMA ❤️🔥

Ue 5 is not 'demanding,' it's broken shit
@YouGotTheL not that many other options. I still think that ue 4 would be more than enough, well optimized with good picture, dead island 2 is good example
@@TomorrowisToday UE4 would be a much better choice. Even unity, believe it or not
i stopped after 20 hours ill let them fix the game then i fresh start
i have a patchwork fix for the zalyssia problem:
after you leave sirca get as fast as you can to that town, because if a emission hits it buggs out. i guess the monolith ki tries to find shelter and then breaks because they are in a building they shouldnt be in.
testet it for hours after i saw a reddit post
Interesting! thank you for your work!
@@CyrilSneer123 considering they were being held up by Microsoft, I’m not entirely surprised.
I wanted to play Stalker 2? Not indiana jones. Great game btw BUT yeah. I got the game on gamepass so I really lucked out cause only 12 dollars a month. But yeah.
I lost like 7 hours because i was caught in an emission storm that didn't end. I thought it was part of the story... 🤷
Stalker 2 is eventually going to be an amazing game, when they fix the mountain of mission-breaking bugs and finally introduce the A-life system. Until then it's in a really rough state.
Breaking crates and wooden stuff is really loud that i mute the sound before smashing stuff lol
facts it's super loud
Everyones boarded up in the hq building in zalissya -_- im waiting for gsc go update, i wont let monolith take my home territory.
I feel about the same. I'm a little bit past the point you mentioned, and I'm holding off the main story for a while. As much as I want to progress to unlock Pripyat, I'm using this time to explore the zone and just play like a survival game for now, just to be safe.
Yup doing the same thing too!
There will be a GAMMA for Stalker 2 one day. Just wait for it.
And yet I’m still having fun!
I did a game restart because I'm playing with specific mods! So excited. I'm also about to clear 3,000 hours in cyberpunk. 😅
Aye! Hope you enjoy the update for Cyberpunk!
@Eridium2 Ohh yeahhh! And I got to almost 3k hrs because I played since launch day. And with mods.
Literally going through the game using the Hidden Gem mod, and no HUD!
@@Eridium2get a load of this music channel. The Stalker music is in the DARK playlist! This is my library for stalker and cyberpunk. (Not plugging for views! Haha this is my music channel) ❤️🥳
What does this even mean? what?
I haven’t played since I first saw that a-life was not working correctly.
i have a AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processer, 32 gb ram, good ssd and a radeon 6950, so i did not have any problems in any mission ever... not even have any major bugs.... after 80 hours of gameplay, game always runs at what feels like 120 fps with no lag o problems no matter where i man or what is going on on screen. i do have FSR high quality and frame generation turned on, but everything else is maxed out. also have some optimization mods on that helped
Now turn them off
Same probelm here with the zalisia mission, ai spawns were all over the place and the side mission itself was a slog to get through befause of the ai bugging out.
*non-story spoiler warning*
I'll also add I ABSOLUTELY understand why people want to be to play more after beating the game, you find multiple weapons that are notably better than anything before but you're never going to see a tech to upgrade any of them, and attachments you can't find anywhere else, and the only after you get locked out of the rest of the zone.
Yeah it's super borked
i think the xbox version is different because my ammo doesnt look like that and I had a way smoother experience.
My game is modded so It looks like that
Sledgehammer fixes all issues lol
I stopped playing the performance is horrible and zalissia is bugged for me too. The arena is impossible to beat bc it turned into a slide show even when i dropped the settings to minimum. Im done. Installed gamma, I'll just play that.
I really love this game but it needs a lot of work. I get the bugs that need patched okay fine whatever. But after the SIRCAA mission all hell breaks lose. I’m borked at Zalisiya as well so I think I’m just gonna wait for a fix. A broken main quest on release is unacceptable honestly. I’ll forgive the other bugs but not that one.
CRAAZY never seen this in any RPG before... oh wait
Stalker without the A-life system is just an hardcore fallout 😂😂😂😂 just joking……or am I…..
You might be spitting
No issues here that really make the experience unenjoyable. Too often so much emphasis is put on the minor issues. Get real. Its just a game.....
ok cool
Yeah which is understandable it's also why I mentioned how I'm switched to GAMMA and playing other games for a bit since the game is just borked.
And SMAA + Blur has a bad ghosting problem. It's pretty gross.
Yeah it's pretty rough
they should port the whole crap to UE4.
Stalker 2 plays like an unoptimized asset pack with a linear campaign in an empty open world. CSG sold us an early access "game" although it seems like they wanted to make a movie with the amount of motion capture they invested in (Instead of investing in the actual game programming)
Empty is rly fitting (if you come from anomaly gamma or what ever modpack you pref.) - you forgot 4 shitty endings to top it off.
NOT what I wanted from a stalker 2.
Damn that sucks I’m playing at a constant 120 frames and just installed an Alife mod and loving it
@@stevenbong1553 The aLife mod just spawns things further away, it doesnt simulate anything, shill harder.
@@PROPHYZ In Stalker 2 I run at full speed without a care in the world, going from Objective to Objective. Gamma has me walking slowly, checking corners, using my Binoculars and planning the route ahead because there might be an enemy patrol or Mutants, sometimes two opposing factions start a fight, just to be finished off by a bloodsucker, thats aLife. Its crazy how a free modpack has substantially better Game mechanics than a something funded by Microsoft.
I haven’t had a crash or bugs since the first patch and I run frame gen with a 3060 no upscaling still get 80ish frames I turn on dlss get 100+ we not all having the same issues. Added qol and optimization mods and it feels so close to what stalker is supposed to be. I’m having a great time
Turn off fg and see your real fps
@ no thanks the games not optimized well enough for that 😂
am stuck on that sicca mission portal part i get stuck on the second portal part of the progress of truth ironic i can't progress in the progress of truth mission lol oh well i will wait until it's patched
Lol opening scene happened to me
I would still play this game cuz of the environment & survival mysterious gameplay but its just runs like i am yrying to run in a dream, gonna reinstall this a year later, preordered😂
150 hours in. First playthrough finished. Vacuum-cleaned all the map, 60+% achievements unlocked. Last 3 hours were played in 20 FPS. With DLSS.
Don't rush to play STALKER 2 right now. Give it 2-3 months to patch. This, plus mods, will be your digital drug for 500+ hours after patches.
want to support GSC? Buy the game full price. Just... don't rush playing. Let em cook,
Bruh they had 14 years to cook…
@@dominickelly3881
Cyberpunk took 9 years to "fully cook" and CD project red had basically unlimited money after the Witcher 3 and didn't have to deal with their country being invaded by a global superpower paired with facing a global pandemic on limited funds. Btw, If Microsoft wouldn't have funded this game the entire studio would have gone under.
There's nothing on the market like stalker 2 and the people complaining about it the most are people who sunk 80 hours into the game in the first couple weeks and hit a few endgame bugs. That's not even mentioning the fact that people who are playing mods like gamma (that only existed because the devs released their source code so everyone could use their work for free) are the people who are ripping the game apart the most.
@@TheStrengthScholarI knew there was something else I was missing. This game started developing nearly around Covid, alongside the damn war. And people still think they have no leeway to boot.
Yeah i put about 90 into my first playthru. My endgame didnt run all that bad; there were areas with frame drops but defo not 20s. I didnt have a counter up but it wasnt bad enough for me to! I would advise ppl to wait. The late game isnt great atm. But the endings are sick af. (Ive achieved all 4 now). Its a good game, buggy and not without flaws but good. Could be great
Yeah getting it on the gamepass has been a great choice honestly
What an absolute garbage game . The graphics are bad , the AI is insanely bad . But you need a 4090 to play on epic .
And still not even get great fps
the only game worth uograding pc for juts bought 4070ti to run 60fps XDDDDDD am i cooked
Great video as always
Preciate you!
Wait a minute I play the game and watch your videos
Oh hey!
As a fallout 4 player, stalker 2 is everyting i wanted out of a sequel to fallout 4. (Im aware theyre not the same franchise)
Yes theyre not very similar base game wise. But my fallout 4 mod list is basically default stalker 2 lol.
Yes it has problems, but are those bugs or Anomalies? Also it runs better than fallout 4 lmao.
Im like 6 hours in at this point and am excited to see this game fully patched.
(Also anyone know if i can get a supressor for my AK74U at all?)
I played Stalker 1. And I am not going to buy this game before they inclueded Alife 2.0, like how they advertised it. Having stuff spawn over and over again at your location just kills the immersion of the game.
I can't WAIT for a gamma-like mod to come out for this game.
Give it a good 5 years.
Yeah it's gonna be a long while
Downloaded it yesterday on Xbox x just shit 😢
so currently; GAMMA or EFP ?
GAMMA. Played it on and off and just got back into it recently with the new update
Delta Force is just another BF game . Booring
Stalker EFP + Extra Levels and the mod that adds a patch to the ui when looking at people so you can tell who they are from a distance.
Skill issue
It be like that sometimes fr fr
I gave up on this game, I'm playing other games right now until my $109 disappointment is fixed over time, it's a shame but at least I funded them early access money I guess...
Yeah that's very understandable this is why I also bought it on the gamepass
The cracks were apparent when it was announced it was being made with UE5. Theyll never fix the game and make it a proper stalker, instead theyll string the fanbase along with pointless busy work content updates and next gen patches.
can tell from the very first 5 seconds of this video you've never played the series before Stalker 2 lol
6:42 I speak about this. But you only watched 5 seconds of the video. So thanks for assuming I guess lol

It's not just a few though, it feels like you're playing an early alpha version of what the game is supposed to be. Also with all the missing features etc.
I've played skyrim what are you even talking about.
