My wife and I have literally manifested every major goal we come up with each year without even thinking about it. We put it on our dream board in dry erase marker and hang it on the wall. In 4 years we have literally moved mountains. All we do is set out focus, pray every single night before dinner, and no matter what all of our goals magically happen before our eyes. Attitude, intention, and stubbornness are all virtues.

Now what if you had your spirit going in the wrong direction, but you didn't realize it because you only had tunnel vision for you want to see, hear, and give thought to? What then? Is what Im typing right now currently something you don't want to entertain? I am currently being phased out from your "sprit radar", ignored? Or am I making sense? Maybe we should analyze all points of view and then make conclusions from a stance of understanding/reason, instead of having tunnel vision for what is let in.

Patrick , this really got me. Growing up my mom has a negative impression of the male species. She would say unkind words about my father which I tended to block out. Because exactly as you said about your father I didn’t want to hear it and wanted to treat people as individuals. That thought process still serves me until today. I think I speak for everyone here when I say ,thank you for an insightful reminder that we are stronger than we think.🥰.

However I can’t let my pride get in the way of my relationship with him. I strive to be a great example. So admitting I let anger in my speech I want him to see that I am not perfect and am responsible for my words. I also tell him that I love him every chance I get. This is a decent point - fatigue is contagious. Being around people who are constantly talking about how tired they are is tiring and tiresome. Negativity is similar, keep that in the right place. If something is bad, be honest, but seeing the negative in every situation, in every person, it’s a downer. One can be forever Pollyanna, but rather that than Eeyore.

To being a college graduate with a beautiful finance & a home & a car & healthy friends who love me & I love. What’s most important about it all is my desire to keep growing. Moreso with my mind then my life. Why? Because I’ve noticed my life gets better from the inside out when my mind gets sharper & more filled with knowledge. So I make it a point to learn something USEFUL everyday. But the little Snapple facts don’t hurt either LOL.

Very powerful and touching video, here Patrick. I agree that certain words need to be used carefully while talking to others. You also need to keep a distance from certain conversations because it can affect you. People who talk like that think others also think in the same way.
The one thing I never like to say to people I know is "I don't have time." or "I am busy." It just sort of gives the impression that I don't want to spend time with them.... even if that may or may not be the case, I just don't like to say it like that.

Words carry weight so true. When ppl around you use words repeatedly to put you down. You start believing it giving them power so it happens. We have to believe in ourselves when no one else will and raise ourselves high. I think its good to have abit of an ego.

Thanks for the reminder. Refocus to some ideals I once had in a good place as I transition back from a dark place to a great place hopefully.
Exhaustion is real though, so is tendinitis and a half dislocated elbow from hard work to survive.
Not trying to deny or be dishonest.
Let's refocus however, I see it

Words to stop using (or at least be aware of the context):
    1. Never
    2. Can’t
    3. Tired
    4. I don’t think….
    5. If I only had (fill in the blank)….

Instead of using I'm tired, use the words, I'm physically and mentally exhausted, overworked and struggling. I think discouraging people from discussing their challenges encourages a culture of silence where people are dying from being overstressed and feel they have no one to help them and either sickness or suicide are prevalent. Humanity is about humility and it's important to have that if we want our world to be less individualistic. We can always do better. Collectivism and socially democratic societies have less burnout and tiredness, we all should aim to find the kind of happiness you see in parts of the world where community and the social good are important.

You are so right about controlling both the words we say, and the words we allow ourselves to hear. Being mindful of the words we use is beneficial for two reasons. first being mindful of the words, we speak, and all ourselves to hear, helps us filter out what is not beneficial to us. The second reason controlling the words we speak, and allow ourselves to hear, helps us keep our minds, free of clutter and useless thoughts.

Words that comes out of your mouth, your ears listen to it best than any other creature that will ever exist. And verbal communication and articulate phases have more psychological effect on your opinion and view than anyone else has on you. It's manipulation if someone tells you how you feel about yourself, it's control of ones self to tell yourself how you feel about yourself. And it's the essence of honesty and realism to your consciousness which affects your mental state (psychological)

I hate it when I hear "how many times must I tell you....". In my thought, "seriously? You are counting?". When I counter back, "how many times is that?" They jst shut up or trying to cover with an arguement or getting louder.
I'm a human too, i tend to forget. There are so many things happening around us, there are so much we can remember. The things that were told may just be the first time I am hearing it.
