@@AKisHerceg Ah, I didn’t see the song of courage icon on the bottom there. I actually had one playthrough with three bard assassins and Wynne due to the Songs actually stacking; I just imagine a barber-shop triplet kicking butt across Fereldan.
@@kingdedede933 Yup, they stack, but only on one person: the one who first activates it. Which is fine for me, because I want to buff my Warden first and foremost. :) That is why I brought Leliana for the duo playthrough. With her, the takedowns were even more viscous than what you see here. The High Dragon for example, lasted a solid 16 seconds...
Actually, Stun that requires you to pass mental resistance check can be resisted with a cunning rogue fairly often(since Mental res is dependent on Cunning/WP/Magic). Check at 2:52 - the poor dragon tries to stun me with her Roar but my Assassin resists it and keeps stabbing her. :) Physical res Stun though.. yup, that can be a problem(skills like Quake and Shield Pummel). The only way to avoid it is the Evade passive. The main problem with the cunning rogue is the lack of defense in my opinion.
i like how the guards are all like "must have been the wind" as soon as you hit stealth :D BTW my favorite beast is Arcane Blood Mage with heavy armor and sword+shield.... that thing is OP in Origin and becomes invincible in Awakening
Yeah, I like that one. I actually plan to make a video about an AW BM, and I will try my best to build the strongest one possible - but I won't wear heavy armor. Or at least not a chest piece. Too much fatigue and even the best heavy armor chest piece can't really rival the Reaper's Vestment for an AW BM. :)
Again showing why Origins was just so much fun. Even rogue in inquisition feels pale by comparison to Origins and rogue was so fun in DA2 cause you could literally teleport backstab people. I know assassin rogue is brutal in inquisition but it just doesn’t have that feel you get in Origins. Your video did show me there is a ballista on the top of the Fort though when you fight the Archdemon. I literally had no clue it was there. I usually had two ranged with me or three ranged and one melee.
Yep, as a dwarf siding with Bhelen. Bringing back the dwarves from the brink of extinction and clearing the deep roads via Alistair's favor, and the Architect was awesome.
Awesome, I can't wait for the trilogy build :) Assassins were my favorites in DAO. I used to play in duo with Zev, when one was playing low profile for a bit, the other popped out of stealth: no respite for the baddies! :p
Oh, I am excited for this one. Recently did a playthrough and turned Nathaniel into a cunning-leaning DW Assassin/Legionnaire Scout/ranger and he was decent. The main issue I had was that he was doing less damage compared to Sigrun who I made into an archer legionnaire scout/ranger/Duelist. Ofc, that might be because I have both aim and accuracy on and equipped her with repeater gloves. Still, it did bum me out that in Awakening, Archers far outclass dual-wielders in terms of damage output. This though, looks absolutely lethal!
Accuracy is one of the most broken skill Bioware has ever created. I honestly have no idea what they were drinking/smoking when they came out with the idea to give a massive bonus to damage, attack, and critical chance based on Dex. Because of this, archers are the most powerful class in Awakening. A Spirit Warrior archer with a mage in the team with curses can finish off any boss in just a few shots. It literally deals thousands of damage - nothing can outmatch that. But the dual wield rogue can come pretty close. Picking Shadow+Assassin and the Voice of Velvet coupled with Rose's Thorn... yeah, the Harvester was dead in less than a minute.
@@AKisHerceg Yeah. Shadow/Assassin is also a killer combo, that -10 stamina regen from shadow form really hurts though. I used a Spirit Warrior archer against the Harvester as well, really made him into the most difficult boss battle to just another boss battle. Loved Spirit Warrior, hopefully we'll get a successor to it in the upcoming DA:D. Hahaha
Looks like you're obsessed by the attributes & whole build of this game, If so, The multiplayer of DA inquisition might interest you 👌🏼. Anyway, What's your equipments in this build, Some items requires specific amount of specific attribute to use them such as dexterity for rogues, Magic for mages & strength for warriors.
Which is better dual dagger wield dex(possibly 36) rest cun or just 4 dex rest and some str rest cun two handed build in terms of damage in a parrty ? for solo becouse of momentum dual wield better but in a team with lots of cc and haste two handed is better i guess ??
It's a Rogue, so you pick the Rogue class. Then you can pick two specializations one at level 6 and one at level 12. The first should be Bard and then Assassin. Put most of your points on Cunning and use Stealth and Song of Courage. More info will be in my upcoming Trilogy Build. :)
Is this any different than your Poison Assassin build you showcased 3 years ago? Aside from what I assume is the given - your previous build was dex based and this one is cun based (stacked with Bard?), what else is different? I ask because you seem to use stealth here, which I don't recall you using in your precious video, and there seems to be ALOT more stun here. I'm a big fan of all that paralysis and want to take advantage of it - as well as Poisons (and traps, but that's just for flavor)
Yes, I used different runes with the Poi Assassin. In fact I think I use no runes there at all. Yup, this one is a cunning based Bard-Assassin for more damage, that one was more of a dex build Duelist-Assassin, sacrificing damage for more survivability. I used Stealth with both, but with this, you really have to use it non-stop(you have pretty low defense), whereas with the Poison Assassin because of the high dex, I barely used it(but of course I dealt way less damage).
@@AKisHerceg ahh, I see. Then, forgive the potentially stupid question, but why wouldn't you have used runes? Can you not use runes in conjunction with poison? Also, while I know this is purely opinion, which play through did you prefer? I generally feel Dex would be safer and just as fun, but I am curious about Cun rouges, and their DPS vs Dex
@@charleskonz3273 Nightmare. Always. At least in DA. In other rpgs it is always whatever the hardest difficulty is(like Insane in ME or Legendary in Skyrim etc).
She did hit me. :) That is the only problem with the cunning rogue - lower defense than the dex rogue. With the dex rogue, you can kill her without her hitting you, but you deal less damage.
@@AKisHerceg Any comments on Shale? I can't tell if she's good or bad with her abilities and crossbows? I've never seen anyone use crossbows in Origins.
@@moby_justchillout1861 Because crossbows are weak generally speaking. They require strength to equip but they don’t receive bonus from dexterity like the bows - although they can still work with Song of Courage and cunning stacking. They are also slow. So best is to just get Arrow of Slaying and Scattershot- that way they are pretty useful as a secondary weapon- too bad those skills are at the end of their tree so you need to spend 8 talent points to get them. Shale is great for ranged party since her Rock Mastery gives nice bonuses. She can also mass Petrify. :)

Yes, you can do the same thing with elves and dwarves. In short: You basically stack your Cunning attribute. A rogue can deal very high damage based on cunning. Then you get Stealth, Song of Courage and Paralyze runes and the Coup de Grace passive. Then you get all poisons and weapon coatings - and kill whatever it is in your way. :)
@@charleskonz3273 Actually it’s not high. Only in the mid 90s. And that comes from the invested dex, the dual weapon passive and the equipment. I use an Incense of Awareness to get it to the mid 100s. I also have over 60% dodge, so combining the the two gives decent survivability with heavy use of Stealth. :)
