I've always love that area...definitely a fun easy area to have fun and spend time with friends and family with some fun trails. Nicely done on showing the area in this video Ray.
@Michael Tran Thanks bro! It was indeed fun! Weather couldn’t be any better either. I was actually just watching some of your old videos of your 2wd taco going down diablo drop off as i was editing the video 😆 .
Hey Brotha..Nice Vid! I’m new to the overland game but I’m better equipped now with a Gladiator! I’m def going to check out Anza real soon! So is this trail one way and so once thru you’ll hit a highway to get home? Thx Ray..
Awesome! Thanks bro! Yea, if you start in S-2 you can hit up the mud caves then diablo drop off. Youll then go down to fish creek wash. Once you hit fish creek , you can turn right, that will bring you to split mountain rd which is right by highway 78. If you want you can hmu on IG i can share the gpx file
great video, thanks for sharing! Quick question... Can i ask when did you do this trip through Sandstone Canyon? We did that exact spot at 10:15 last spring and the path by the large boulder was completely smooth... a totally different experience.
@Studio36 thank you! We went about three weeks ago. Yea they do change occasionally. Last time we were here was about couple years back, the first tight spot was smooth as well. Its a little bit rough this time around but its not too bad.
@@MPTrailGroup Thanks for the response! Wow, that's crazy how different it is now vs last year. The recent monsoons must have really changed the landscape. Too bad i cant post a pic to show you what i mean. Thanks again, and maybe we'll cross paths someday on the trail. =)
The heavy rains this past year have done a number on all of the washes. That's one of the fun things with the wash areas, but also something to keep in the back of your mind, because they can, and do, change rapidly making the trail guides sorta moot. Borrego is definitely part of this sorta thinking.
@@ansleythestewart You have a great point. Trail conditions do change quite a lot in these areas. Its always good to expect the worst and know when to call it quit and turn around if necessary.
Is there a bypass for the Diablo drop off?
Was wondering the same thing

Only street legal vehicles are allowed in Anza Borrego state park. Which very few side by sides are.
