- Welcome everyone to another British Airways video, this time in World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy).
Most Oneworld carriers fly now to Doha in order to assist Qatar Airways with their aircraft shortage. And British Airways, as a founding member of the alliance, flies up to twice daily to Doha. This is one of their flights.
My journey starts in Dubai. And while BA flies 3 times per day to Dubai, it is half the price from Doha. So why not?!
It is my first time in World Traveller Plus and I’ve got to say that I enjoyed the product.
It would be far better with some touches here and there but overall it was a good time, specially thanks to the crew on board of BA 122.

Having flown the Middle East flag carriers and BA... Would prefer BA anytime for their honest, professional and 'non robotic' service standards..the cabin crew was very engaging despite being very busy... Kudos to BA.. for a very professional staff and their club world suites are really awesome compared to the the middle Eastern airlines offering dated hard products on certain routes

Fantastic video as always Alex, thanks for sharing!! I always think that BA's hard product is a bit average or sub-par to their competitors but their crews generally make up for it. I've always had great experiences with them. I'm glad you did too. Obviously an A380 trip report would be awesome. Congratulations for the content!

You can search for the registrations on flightradar!
And I’ve tried the A380 on the route, the QR one. That plane is a bit outdated 😞

I know, but some fake company keeps claiming rights to it to take money for it. It was a weekly struggle with them and RUclips so I gave up.

Layover pls I have a question, how do u know the plane type and destination while you're still "recording". I know people use flightradar24 but I don't know the timing because you're going to record the whole video and go to another country.

Why I see these reviews what these people would have made of air travel 50 years ago.
Apart from the onboard entertainment, the standards have dropped.
We now have to pay extra to get worse seats and dreadful food.
Traveling by plane used to be and experience. Today, it's an endurance

I love to do that but it depends on the day! Here I had a short time on ground plus those were all the planes I could spot from my plane!

I agree, crew on British Airways seem a lot friendlier than Qatar Airways, Etihad Airways etc. I don’t know why.

Excellent video as always! I've only flown BA twice, in Economy, but even then it was great (very similar to your DXB-LHR video). Also, one of those two flights I took with them was from LHR to MSY on the 787-8, so seeing that flight at 24:50 was great. And that's the next BA destination I'd like to see you fly to (answering to what you said at 24:16). Again, really enjoyed this video!

4:38, What, British airways older Boeing 777-200ER didn't refurbish the in flight entertainment TV? It needs a refurbish the older in flight entertainment TV into a new in flight entertainment TV.
Btw BA uses this plane to fly between london-abuja(Nigeria)-london most of the time I think they should upgrade this route to an a350

An anecdote for Boeing. Recently I got a flight change offer one was Boeing and another Airbus. But a recent lot of mishap with Boeing make me not choose it. Sadly it was a British airline which I wanted to fly but got scared with incident for life.

Are the planes that is not QR always tend to park at gate A? Always spot MH, AA, AY and BA at A, never at other sides of DOH.

Thanks for the video, Alex. The cabin manager thanking her team for their hard work before landing is a first for me. I have not heard that on other carriers that I have flown. BA still gives a decent package. You should fly BA to/from Johannesburg. That should be an interesting flight.
It’s a good way of showing respect to your team. But I would not do it over a PA system. There might be some passenger that did not have a good flight at all, so that might be an upsetting thing.
I always thank my team each day I work with them but individually. It’s a good habit 😀

Love you TR's. Amazing they offer three gins in Y. Love Gordon's, tastes like gin should you cant go wrong. Tanqueray is bland. Aviator has a chemical taste. BA crew have so much charisma.
Nice to read about your Gin knowledge! I actually liked Tanqueray the best. And yes, I found Aviatior the odd one.
The crew have a lot of charisma indeed, and a great bond amongst them.
I had a bunch in the same hotel as mine in Accra and they were one fun group!

With many oneworld alliance members flying to DOH, I would one day like to see Cathay Pacific restart their flight from HKG-DOH as a feeder for QR flights on the same route.
I’m already 2:48 in and I love the review so far! Having flown on BA World Traveller Plus back in 2018, I can safely say that Premium Economy is the middle ground between Economy and Business. Like you said earlier, BA is focused on fun while QR is focused on professionalism as was evident in your review from DOH-LHR on QR1 on the A350-1000.

Thanks a lot Patrick, I never try only in Premium Cabins. And sometimes when I do I even swap with someone elsewhere if I like the view somewhere else or if I want a window.
I collect watches, and the ones I wear depends. I think on this one it’s a Tag Heuer Aquaracer 300m.
But I collect all sorts, my favorite is in fact a quite affordable one!

Oh also i flew on BA’s 777-200ER’s to and from Doha twice a few months back, although our flight was to/from Gatwick - Gatwick-Doha route has been suspended sadly
British Airways (it pains me to have type those 2 words) are totally unfit for purpose.

Great flight review.Indeed the crew was amazing but the plane needs a serious bath.
I love BA - these days I have to travel in either World Traveller Plus or business/Club World on account of my advancing years & the need to lie flat on a long haul flight to NZ via Singapore & Sydney, which I did back in February this year. Off to Bermuda in 2 weeks time & since this is only a 7.5 hour flight, I’m going WTP!! BUT, I’m planning to return to NZ next year & I’m afraid I’m going to opt for business class with Emirates, only because there’s only 1 stop (in Dubai) & not because I was in any way unhappy with the comfort or service of BA. I wouldn’t consider another carrier if BA would fly to Auckland - hint, hint!! Plus, my daughter used to be cabin crew with BA, before she went to live in NZ, so I’m always happy to fly the flag - used to fly back in the days of dear old BOAC too…….thats how old I am!!! I also love the way you give information about the flaps etc - I know about V1 - rotate, but the flaps are interesting - thank you!
