I've been watching your vlogs for ages and I have to say you are a complete natural in front of the camera. Put some of those on MSM to shame. Look forward to the rest of the series as they are always great fun to watch. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures👍
Lovely vlog; so enjoyable. My travel hack doesnt really apply to international travel....but here it is. I fly Frontier because how cheap it is if you only fly with a personal item. I can get 5 days of clothing, swimsuit and a pair of flip flops in a tiny (what they call child-size) backpack the size that is listed on their website, however, their sizer at the gate is a bit bigger and I have found that a normal backpack or travel tote fits in it, so a week worth of clothes and no charge for carry-on.
On Qantas PE, the pillow has a slit along the rear of the pillowcase. This means the pillow can be slipped OVER the wings of the headrest for your seat. Then you can curve the wings, fall asleep etc, and the pillow won’t fall down. Plus, on the aisle seat, on Qantas PE, the external ‘wall’ can drop down. This then means you can turn and place your feet in the aisle to stand up to get in & out & you don’t need to ‘pull’ on the seat in front of you.
@@KarenBee If you can’t afford Business, PE is definitely the way to go. Especially on long haul flights like Syd-DFW, Syd-LAX, Syd-PER-LHR etc… sometimes Qantas has sales on seats. I got Business class Syd- MCO (change to AA flight at DFW) for about $100 more than the most expensive PE seats at the time. Now, those same seats would be double what I am paying (travel in July).
The leisure routes and the poor ole BA 777-200s based at Gatwick had two lavatory’s removed a few years ago to add 50 more economy seats and no extra crew . Thanks for your lovely video have a fantastic trip enjoy yourself 😊 🇺🇸
Loved the vlog Karen! I was so excited to wake up to this! Looked like a great travel day and you had so much more room for activities!!🤣🥰❤️I love that drunk elephant serum too it’s the best for hydration! Water, electrolytes and good skin care are a must for travel for me too!!Looking forward to seeing more of your trip!!💫
When I travel on a plane, no matter the distance, I always buy two bottles of Smartwater. That’s my preferred water and since you can’t bring a bottle through security with you and a lot of hotels once you arrive don’t provide complimentary water anymore, I want to be over prepared lol! I also have to pack my noise canceling headphones and download things to watch, to help me with my travel jitters
Yes I was glad I got the smartwater! Definitely better to be over prepared there is nothing worse than being on the plane and really needing water! Love noise cancelling for travel - I'm usually only hit with travel anxiety pre travel or if there are delays and I've connecting flights so I try to go direct as much as possible!
Love a good travel day. We recently upgraded to Premium Economy on Lot Airlines, and we got to use the fast-track queue at security. I felt unworthy but omg was it worth the $$$.
@@KarenBee definitely, come on BA! TBF I've found that they are just not what they used to be. I took a morning flight in Europe (so shorthaul) and the snack was crisps - you'd think a croissant or something! Ah dear, but we still fly it cos BA. HAHA
As someone who suffers from claustrophobia the bassinet seats are a life saver and my last 2 flights virgin allocated that seat to me free of charge. First 2 flights I've done as an adult where I didn't need medication and didn't have a meltdown.
Fab vlog Karen!, i'm traveling premium economy in a months time and this has really given me a great insight of what to look forward to :) btw the cribb/cot is called a , 'Bassinet', great vlog as always!
Lovely long travel vlog, and feel for you over the passport issue (I would also stress out over that). Love having time to look around the airport, so hotel stay would have to be a must. Always worry about having a stranger sit next to me, had a bad experience once. Snack bag is a must, I enjoy making them up too (not great at enjoying set meals on plains, but some can be quite good). See you next week, take care!💕🧳🍃🍂
Hey Karen 🤗 I’m glad you managed to not have anyone next to you on the plane 😊 And phew, you didn’t lose your passport 🫣 I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of this trip ♥️ xxx
The video provides valuable information on premium econ flights, including the availability of a snack bowl, which was previously overlooked in comparison to Virgin's Wonder Wall. Thanks for sharing Karen👌💫42:36
Wonderful vlog Karen! I am now hooked to Club World after watching your vlog. Flew Premium Economy with United in 2022 and Club World Suites with BA in 2023 and booked again with BA Club Suites later this summer 2024. Absolutely amazing travel experience with BA Club World. Thank you for sharing your travel experiences. Keep them coming.
You’re welcome Karen. Yes we get daily direct flights from Boston, Massachusetts to Heathrow so it is just wonderful. If you ever visit Boston, message and I’ll be your tour guide! Cheers to you and your family.
You and Hannah got me and my sister hooked to Jo Malone. We even went to Selfridge’s to purchase one and loved it! English Pear and Freesia is my fave.
You should try the Givenchy L'interdit fragances..... my current fav and they do different ones - normal, black, red etc. I've four of them at the moment on the go and I literally get comments all the time from people asking me what my perfume is. Literally walking down the street I've been stopped and on Friday in the supermarket two employees stopped me as one had said to the other 'that lady smells so good'!!! My students constantly ask me too. Think you might like them! and woohoo to an over hour long vlog!! xx
Flew BA in June last year. First and Last time unless it’s completely unavoidable. Cabin is unbelievably cramped compared to virgin. The crew were fine. The landing into MCO and then the landing into LGW were extremely rough. Never had a bad landing with Virgin. The MCO landing, the entire plane screamed because we hit the ground and then went sideways and we were thrown left and right in the cabin while they slowed down. Captain didn’t even acknowledge it with an announcement or anything.
Massive vlog, so natural, did you used the DJI on the plane cabin part or the iPhone? What SD card size? Enjoy your trip, I'm also scheduling a solo trip to Orlando so I'll keep a close attention on your's
Also flying Premium Eco next year and it was between 50-80 per person one way and there are 4 of us - it is madness. Also, the lady sitting behind you loving her sequin outfit.
BA premium looks pretty good. I flew virgin premium recently and it was really poor. No amenity kit, food was dreadful 😂 and the arm rest fell off my seat. Gonna try BA instead next time! Love the vlog! Will you be doing anymore RunDisney events? Xxx
Aw no! I also had a bad experience with Virgin PE food but another time was much better! Virgin is flying some really old planes that are in desperate need of a refurb on that route. YES I have the marathon vlog coming soon!

Please do a what’s in my carry on (long haul) type video with all your skincare etc in it - I’ve got 3 long haul flights this year and don’t want to come off looking like a snake
Great video! I’m off to Sydney flying BA Traveller Plus - I usually fly Qantas Prem Econ but decided to give BA a go. One thing I noticed is that the seats aren’t in ‘pods’ like Qantas. The ‘pods’ style seats are great as I find the tapping on the screens on the back of the seat annoying. So hopefully whoever sits behind me has light fingers :)
We flew BA in November 2023 in economy the staff were really rude and food was awful we booked bulkhead seats thank god they squeeze everyone in like sardines never again
Aw that’s terrible! Especially when you feel you’ve paid extra for a more premium experience and ended up with a really bad one overall. I have definitely had mixed experiences and of course the customer service is going to have a huge impact on how positively you feel about a trip. Sorry to hear that!
Such an informative video thanks Karen! Where is the snack bowl found on BA?! They kept that quiet 😂
I do love the larger seats, that extra bit of room makes it so much more comfortable. Ye they don't really shout about it! It's usually either in the kitchen galley bit that goes between the aisle or on the sides of it, they will have drinks there too that you can just pick up so it's usually by the fridges with the drinks.
