One thing I didn’t mention because I figured it out after I made the commentary. Head to Head and Scramble’s don’t give you rep anymore even if you do them legitimately. They changed it to fix the exploit. So now it’s even harder to rep up... go figure.

@@normalpersonlivingtheirlife Uh, you can't buy ranks. You get a trade price unlock every 5 levels, so theoretically once you hit level 85, you'll have every vehicle trade price from the update. There's still like 50+ pieces of clothing you need to rank up to unlock, and it's not to something sensible like 200 or 250, it's fucking ONE THOUSAND. It's not like Arena War where you can still buy stuff but it's 2x the price or w/e, no, you just can't buy it at all. Also, an extra 300k on average isn't gonna influence shark card sales much. Not every single person wants to buy every single car, plus you can win some just by playing the game, no RNG necessary.

Updates are fair, but only if they improve on issues voiced by gamers, like doing business in public lobbies, balanced missions i.e. endless NPC's with inhuman accuracy you must defeat.

Let me be clear, this update is really cool for the content that they release however, the biggest problem with it is that they reused this same stupid rep system that everyone hated from Arena Wars back in 2018. Nobody is going to keep replaying these same races just to grind all that rep, they will probably be AFKing to get more REP until Rockstar finally patches it out or if they actually care make changes to the rep system to where it doesn't become such a major pain to grind all of it. Also the Auto shop is a scam. All you get is just the same custom auto shop that you've seen already. You already have one in your CEO office and also if you want to play the new Contract Missions you have no other choice but to buy the Auto Shop just play them. Again its the same issue with Arena Wars where you had to buy the Arena just to play the modes. How can Rockstar repeat the same mistake?
Even if the auto shop didn’t have a single mission it’s worth it for me JUST for the unlocked paint jobs and the 10 car garage A maxed auto shop is only worth doing cayo percio 3 times I could do that in less 3 hours I go into every dlc expecting to waste money so I’m always happy whenever it actually does something useful Like in this case a new garage or even better unlocking all paint jobs

I looked up how to speed run it fully stealth and it’s a easy quick 1.5mil every hour and I’m only getting faster at completing it. Then I run contract missions during the cool down, In a week I doubled the money I started with. So R* did that one thing that saved the game for me cause all I do with my friend now is give them most of the cut so they can earn some money. Then we can play however we want without caring about the money.

It should, at most, cap it out at 300 rep which is rank 43 from the formula that GTASeriesVideos provided. That's roughly a rank a day when doing all the daily bonuses that's doable for a solo player.
I replicate a lot of irl cars in gta, I would literally pay a million to have some of the liveries but nonono I have to do thousands of races to even be able to buy them
A bit like research for the bunker? You pay either by fast tracking or decreased product by assigning staff to it, but you still have to purchase it afterwards.

@@maxx6526 so i've been farming rp using a race called "#DUB# fast race for farming rep. And got it down to where a race takes about 1-2 min. Before the next race starts. I am now lvl 89 so i'm slowly getting there
Rockstar should implement 2 part updates. We get the first initial update with everything in it, but then the next week we get another update where the make reasonable changes based on feedback.

I thought it did too but never seen it happen Actually maybe it happens when I spawn in because that’s my spawn point

I swear they nerfed it too because i hardly get anything else than REP or a shit shirt.....Some chips or some cash only once in a blue moon. And the Mystery Car Van is even more impossible to win. I don't care for the podium cars either since they are all shit.
Well i am on lvl 95 on reputation, and my main goal is a livery for Calico GTF which is on 184 lvl, wish me luck, and health in doing races over and over
While I find it cool that you have unlockable items that reflect how good or dedicated of a driver you are, they NEED to allow you to buy the liveries at least or expand the rep system by a longshot. Allow the auto shop to increase your rep, allow ANY street or stunt races to increase rep, let alone increase the amount of rep you get in general.
I think I understand why others were telling me this DLC would die very quickly. When I think about it, Cayó perico and Diamond Casino DLC did not die this quickly.
Cayo perico was a way to earn money, car meet is a thing which you check once and have no purpose to visit again cause you seen everything it has to offer
The way it could stay alive was if they actually made the rep system more of something which you can earn. At this moment the rep system is a joke. Ultimately your best method is to go afk. When your game is literally saying being afk is better than actually playing the game then there's no wonder it's dead. Like at least have something to grind. If contract missions actually gave reps people would be playing it a lot more. Right now I don't see any reason to play it except to try it out for the first time
Man that race was hard to watch. 9/10 times I get in a race and I'm winning, I have to constantly dodge idiots who think it's a great idea to go backwards on the track. On top of that, rockstar thinks it's alright to allow them to do so, and not ghost them or just outright turn them to spectators.

You know what also should give Rep? Impromptu races. They have been in game since the beginning and this was the perfect opportunity to flesh out an existing feature.
@@X_irtz You can also do that with Testtrack races, Pursuits and Street races tbh. Just create a Playlist with those new race modes and you can play it with 1 friend instead of 4 and exchange wins etc. But you're not wrong it can be abused, which is why I said they could flash it out :)
The max reputation rank should be 100, there's no need for it to go to 1000. By the time you hit rank 85 you'll get the discounts for every vehicle in the update, which is the main reason you'd want to rank up, not clothes

And getting the discounts for all 17 cars in the update doesn't even get you a tenth of the way to max. And the cars aren't that expensive, I don't think one goes over 2 mil, and the discounts don't save a ton of money on some cars. I think it was just very badly done
On the first day of the update, I went straight to the car meet after checking out the new cars, there were about 3-6 people in there, roughly 4 on the test track and 2 in the car meet itself, it was quite fun but then on the second day of the update I could barely find anyone to do head to head's with.
Within the first 3 days of the DLC I managed to find people at the car meet constantly, after that it died out really quick. I was once in a lobby with 10 people there at the same time.
Tbh car meet and freeroam should be separate so you can go in the car meet be put into a car meet lobby rather than hope someone from freeroam is in there.
I had a feeling that when I saw that Rep system when this update came out I am just like "Oh no....this is going to be Arena Wars 2.0" and my fear came true. Rockstar really messed this up. All of the clothing, custom parts, and to get your car meeting show is locked behind the stupid Rep system. What were they thinking? Did they not remember how back the Arena Wars update was back in 2018?
I feel it couldve been slightly more successful if the music was more popular, but I hadn't heard of any of the artists announced before this. Literally the only artist I knew from the update was Dr Dre., and he didn't even have a song in the update, he was just making a cameo.

There's rly no need of even grinding for capitalé, just the first Quick Draw Club gives out a total of 65 capitalé & you only need 75 to play all 3 Opportunity missions to unlock their respective hats at Madam Nazar. All of the Crimes & Opportunities missions are practically one-&-done deals for the experience, they're not worth the grind for profitability.

The rank 75 one is far superior. & Idk if it's just that suit (haven't worn the others) but you can wear a few of the unlocked tops in special tops over it. The open wheel top looks pretty sweet over it, my character looks like a bootleg Lewis Hamilton.
I find the levels for those 10 Track Wheels and Liveries for the Tuners fair since they're up there with the trade prices for the Tuners and the new race modes, and the ability to hold your own private Car Meet, except the clothing which you do earn rep while wearing any, but not that much though, I can say the same for the new Street Races and Pursuit Races.
I'm at 102 Rep... Afking, pursuit races and all the tuner activities/bonuses done daily. 162 is the goal I've set as the further unlocks are of zero interest. Lame update overall, tons of glitches although it gave me something to do; I'm retired at this point in Los Santos at LVL 732 w/147 mil banked.
one thing that's crazy and I don't see anyone talking about is how the Reputation system does NOT have a paid shortcut per se. *maybe* if one considers the mod shop in the car meet and clothing purchase bonuses, but those are limited, so even Shark Cards can't save it
Its a bussiness thing. Having players online for an extended time being AFK creates an impression on their statistics of an highly popular dlc.this impress their stockholders. Its rockstar way of glitching their q3 report.

Imo drifting in freemode and impromptu races should give REP level, not like donuts and stuff but you know stuff that us car guys enjoy, like crusing around los santos highway, drive around the city, compete with friends in impromptu races Nd drifting in the city, stuff like that is what id give alot of rep for. Exapmle, doing an insane drift, holding it and going a distance with it would give rep. Let me know ur opinion or point out something different that could give rep.

Just a reminder for any one who knows that Rockstar made midnight club, which was an amazing racing game when I was young. But for them not to have a * Wrong way * indicator that make you go the other way after 5 secs is just messed up and lazy.
I'm lucky i did the exploit to level 234 but now its absolute pain to level up, going afk at night only gets me 1 level at this point... hope they fix this
I hoped so many lobbies searching for people. 50 % of people gave up after 5 min. 30 % were to slow and 20% had difficulty finding the spot. Some didn't even have 50k

I've made way more levels going afk overnight than I've earned by running races all day. Also has the added benefit of letting all your businesses convert supplies into cash, so when you come back the next morning, you have 10 new rep levels. And $3 million in products to sell every day, just from afk.
I finally found someone to do a Sprint race with yesterday, only to sit there waiting and waiting, with nothing happening. There was no countdown, but finally the route popped up on the mini-map, allowing me to go. But where the hell was the guy I was racing? His blip showed nearly at the checkpoint already. He obviously didn’t incur the same time penalty that I did. I do however, sometimes encounter people on the Test Track, parked, doing endless donuts or just driving aimlessly around. When I ask to have a race, there is rarely ever a response. Then I have to return my vehicle to storage or I will be locked in the Test Track forever, as Rockstar never thought you’d ever be ignored when you asked someone to race.
It really does tick me off that people already don’t care about the car meet i have been trying for a while to get sprint races for the prize ride and over today and yesterday I’ve gotten 3 races done i have to rely on randoms because my friends like most people don’t even play the game anymore fucking ridiculous
I felt more anger than laughter from that part. The fact, that if you are a popular youtuber and want to grind the levels and you have literal imbeciles griefing you in races is just absurd.
**The BEST strategy so far I have found is to find a friend or another player that wants to rank up is to grind ONE LAP(cause you get same rep points no matter how many laps) races with...1st place gets 165 points and 2nd gets 157...if I can’t find anyone I just suck it up and do random races but it sucks that it’s typically set at 3 laps and that’s a waste of time..only plus side to that is I always get more points when I get 1/2/3 place.
I am so upset that R* didn't get a grip after the arena war system. Not even gonna mention the RWD Audi rs4. Like....we need to start a movement of some kind in order for rockstar to understand that if they listen to what we have to say, it will make their game better for everyone.

My console hasn't been turned off legitimately for like 3 days I just grind Pursuits and Streets Races till 4AM then go AFK while in the LSCM, wake up, shower, eat then rinse and repeat... this is my life now..😔
Riwi-Tia I was doing that but realized you don’t get the daily bonuses reset if you leave it on for more than 24 hours so restart gta and get those daily bonuses in the morning like mod you car do the time trial and test one of the 3 cars
🚬....They should allow us to have the option to switch Rep. for whatever you do. You can go to setting and change Rep to either Regular Rep, Arena War Rep, or the LS Tuner Rep. Whatever you do in the game can build off it even when you spin the podium wheel and get rep there frfr💯🔥🔥🧯
Out of curiosity, I decided to check how many races I've done in Forza Horizon 4 (a dedicated racing game)...since I've been playing that actively for over a year alongside GTA. The races are about as long as what you'd get in a typical public race in GTA. 1,954 races, and I've basically done everything there is to do, acquired basically every car (almost 750 of them), aside from a DLC pack I don't want and some impossible-to-get preorder cars. And in GTA, it takes 4.5X the amount of races to unlock everything in this DLC, at 9,000+. That is insane.
I actually *really* like most of your reputation suggestions. Far as I'm concerned EVERYTHING we do (with a few exceptions) should increase our reputation, if even just by a little bit. "Hey aren't you the same guy/girl that robbed the Diamond Casino/Pacific Standard/El Rubio?" Reputation is about US, not just cars and driving.
It kinda pisses me off how so many people asked for car meets and now everytime I go , there's nobody there. Before the update there were alot of car meets in LSC and now there are none 🤦♂️
Rockstar is a shadow of it’s former self. As someone who has been around since the very first GTA games, and who has played them all, I realise they have become too greedy and all they care about anymore is making money off of shark cards. For this reason I refuse to ever by a shark card. I’ve been grinding Cayo, and I’ve got many businesses, but the fact is, I play games to escape the monotony of real life! So to get home from real life work and turn on GTAV, only to have to monotonously grind and feel like I’m back at work anyways is bullshit, and then to have soulless c#*ts that drive backwards in races, or troll the shit out of you when you’re trying to do heist set ups just makes the game a straight up chore! So congratulations ROCKSTAR you have taken one of the greatest and most successful franchises of all time and turned it into absolute shit. There are soo many other games that have more replay value and a shit ton of enjoyment! Maybe they should change their name from “ROCKSTAR” to like “KIDDYPOP” or something, cause they’re more like Justin Bieber than Guns ‘n’ Roses now!
It’s also super aggravating when you start or join a race that has a full lobby, but almost everyone leaves (cause they can’t finish 1st) so the RP you gain is such a small amount it’s not worth doing...
If you want to get a livery for a car without levelling up listen up: Take the car you want to get the livery / wheels on (locked ones) and take into someone else’s auto shop. When inside, hover over the livery / wheel and wait for the owner of the auto shop to leave. (Enter a auto shop in the lobby where the owner is in it, can do with friends) Most of the times it should work, when it does, go to LS customs and add a upgrade and it the livery / wheel should be saved. Hoped it helped
To fix it they need: 1. rep bonus on win/loss streaks in races 2. rep for EVERY TIME you use the test track (not just 2x a day like wtf who decided that) 3. they should give you rep for every car mod you buy in the LSCM mod shop (1/5 of a level would be fine per car mod purchased) 4. probably the most unlikely but half a level every time you beat your time trial time on the test track (would keep people at LSCM who actually play) 5. last but not least we literally have the auto shop heists, the car delivery missions and exotic exports, which are all new content and part of this very dlc that earn you 0 rep I know they will never be this generous but i think we deserve 1/5 a level per exotic export/customer car delivery, and an entire level for a contract (if they would just do this it would be fixed lol)
I ran into a clan that had one guy lock down a chokepoint at a warehouse. He would gatekeep this entrance so his buddy could easily maintain the lead. Rockstar, ghost anyone who drives in reverse or takes too long to reach a new checkpoint!
all this is because EVERY game out there with a rank up system or progression set up feels its necessary to make the grind so damn mind numbing, and dont realize, PLAYERS dont do that anymore. They will quit the game, or find other things to do within the game that are less grindy. WoW started it off with Dailies, and everyone has yet to realize that bandwagon burned down a LONG time ago...There is actually a company that has GRINDING in the title. This really needs to stop. I don’t want to play the new races or races in general anymore because there are always people driving backwards or intentionally ramming you of the track which is especially annoying in the stunt races.
Something they missed is the delivery/service cars not giving you rep/throwing in cars with trade prices and servicing them unlocks the trade prices as an alternate means of getting the trade price instead of hoping the game gives you it at a random fifth level in the meet rep system.
I'm a casual player and I usually don't spend on a car collection, so I really loved the idea of winning prize cars by doing tasks. Downer: Current task is to win 5 sprint races, I've been lobbyhopping for hours and couldn't find anyone. -.- Maybe I'm overly critical, but it also feels a bit tedious to derp around aimlessly hoping for one of those 10 Export Cars to spawn...
At least with the Arena Wars level system You could buy the locked stuff for an elevated Price if you were too lazy to grind the Arena Wars modes,this time Rockstar is literally forcing you to play races or sit afk at the car meet place to level up like WTF is this BS,ain't nobody gonna hang around the car meet place for hours,it's eventually gonna get boring and my experience with the new races is awful,i constantly get toxic lobbies where people just constantly ram each other,this is not encouraging for me to play the new races at all and it gets old after a while.I am sorry,even if i like some of the locked liveries and clothing stuff,i am definitely not grinding these new rep levels completely at all,i stopped at 106 currently and i am not thinking about continuing.This is an outrageous situation!!!
I don't think the rep points are paying that low as GhillieMaster says it in the video but i agree with the races above 6 players bonus thing. Everything else is fine in my opinion cuz people who spend more time with the things in the update deserve more points than people who don't. Like for example if there is a casual player who doesn't spend that much time with the update things then they shouldn't get as much points as a player who does the update things everyday for an hour or more (races or just being on the track drifting or doing time trials). The getting points for just driving in freemode is just stupid unless its like a really small amounts of points. I have noticed that he called getting the points "grind" in the video and i think that is the source of the problem: It's not supposed to be looked at as a grind. You get the points by doing the things that you a) enjoy and that means you spend time with it and after spending your time which you enjoyed you get more thing to enjoy or b) don't enjoy and so that means you don't have to do them unless you do it for a livery os something and then the grind begins cuz the working part of the grind is not always fun and that's just something that needs to be accepted. Edit: the last change he mentioned is actually really great and should be implemented.
I said in many upcoming GTA tuners DLC comments sections that rockstar needs to stop the community meetings spaces because no one is ever there. Nightclubs, casino, music locker, Cayo island are all empty
I think one problem that is hard to tackle but I think is valid is that there are too many activities in GTA and I personally can't be bothered to play some of the new stuff. Honestly I think updates that tidy up the game, balance stuff, or adds actual game changing features rather than just some new properties to visit or new races and such. I would love an update that tidies up the game and balances it with 0 new content over what we just got. A game changing update would be to rework how lobbies work, such as a lobby type that lets you play like normal but other players are not killable, and a lobby type where killing others is actually rewarding so peace and war can be had separately. A lobby where you can play the game normally but you know 100% for sure that you wont be blown up when hanging out with 7 other people would change the game so much more than a new property ever could. Another needed feature would be to remove the k/d system. I have a k/d of ~10.8 and it actually ruins some game play cause I don't really care but its still in the back of my head when I die. I don't want to play death match cause of this stupid number even tho I have made a few death match levels of my own with the editor. I'd love to talk about other changes that could make the game in it's entirety better, but basically currently every update adds content that piles up with the rest and is not different enough. We need changes to more basic aspects of the game that actually change the feel of the game. Also despite a high k/d ratio I hate that it exists cause I am a competitive person and it stops me from having more fun in the game as every player interaction is a risk, and yes I could ignore it but it's not as easy as that. I should not need to ignore a game mechanic to have fun especially if it genuinely bothers me, besides other players will also keep being aggressive towards me as long as this number exists. At the very least I have 2000 hours in GTA, and it's one of my favorite games. But it's stale now and always will be if they keep making these uneventful updates. I did however buy a new copy on an alt account and played 77 hours from scratch and it was the most fun I had in GTA for a while cause I got to grind the lower levels again. Maybe trying to play GTA fresh as an og could be a good video for Ghillie to make? There is something about starting off GTA Online fresh that Rockstar did well that made it so much more enjoyable for me to play rather then to keep grinding on my 2000 hours account with I assure you all properties owned and 99% of the good vehicles in the game owned as well (minus anything from last two updates maybe).
From a rational standpoint, it makes sense doing the contracts on the side have no relation to rep in the car meet since building rep would only come through the races and stuff

What they should have done. Custom car sounds, more tyre smoke when drifting, trading cars. They should also add more race cars like older f1 type cars and upgrade sounds so that they’re super loud and you can hear the scream of a super car coming down the street and remove the oppressor

Man's speaking facts. I think earning rep should go even further and players can earn rep while driving turner cars in freemode doing things like near misses, hitting max speed, drifting, losing the cops, driving in formation, stunt jumps and clean driving.
You know what upsets me more than the level system,just how little time they put into balancing the handling of most tuner cars.How do you take a whole update about cars and make them worse than all the previous non tuner cars
What bothers me is that in order to win these races, I technically have to buy and upgrade these new cars to the max just for a chance to win and earn rep. I'm not a car culture person. I don't *want* these cars, nor (respectfully) share the same hype over them like the GTA car community may. The Car Meet and Test Track aren't gonna see much use for me. I *do* however, enjoy the Auto Shop stuff. The contracts are easy, small bursts of money when I don't feel like repetitively doing Cayo Perico all the time. And something about having a legitimate business front as a *functioning Auto Shop* gives me a feel-good feeling. I know GTA is all about criminal stuff, but sometimes I just want that good-guy Red Dead aspect without the whole FiveM RP server stuff. Plus, free repairs at any player's auto shop? It's basically a better, more convenient LSC. I specifically bought the one in Rancho to fill in the map and provide convenience for other players who would like an auto shop without driving to the usual NPC ones.
The dlc is cool, but in the 3rd day when it was realeased I could not imagine myself going insids that test track or the car meet no more. It just looks so dead and old-fashioned as a GTA player. Seriously, sincs 2013 there are street races like that, its not fun no more. Not to mention how unrealistic the persuit is, omg. There are 30 billion cops waiting for you somewhere un the map, they lag hit you, other players pass you. Really this DLC is feeling so boring. Cmon rockstar, u were better at 2015-2017
One thing I didn’t mention because I figured it out after I made the commentary. Head to Head and Scramble’s don’t give you rep anymore even if you do them legitimately. They changed it to fix the exploit. So now it’s even harder to rep up... go figure.
They should lessen the maximum level needed to be reached. It should be atleast level 250 so that the grind would not be that boring.

@@normalpersonlivingtheirlife Uh, you can't buy ranks. You get a trade price unlock every 5 levels, so theoretically once you hit level 85, you'll have every vehicle trade price from the update. There's still like 50+ pieces of clothing you need to rank up to unlock, and it's not to something sensible like 200 or 250, it's fucking ONE THOUSAND. It's not like Arena War where you can still buy stuff but it's 2x the price or w/e, no, you just can't buy it at all. Also, an extra 300k on average isn't gonna influence shark card sales much. Not every single person wants to buy every single car, plus you can win some just by playing the game, no RNG necessary.

Updates are fair, but only if they improve on issues voiced by gamers, like doing business in public lobbies, balanced missions i.e. endless NPC's with inhuman accuracy you must defeat.

Let me be clear, this update is really cool for the content that they release however, the biggest problem with it is that they reused this same stupid rep system that everyone hated from Arena Wars back in 2018. Nobody is going to keep replaying these same races just to grind all that rep, they will probably be AFKing to get more REP until Rockstar finally patches it out or if they actually care make changes to the rep system to where it doesn't become such a major pain to grind all of it. Also the Auto shop is a scam. All you get is just the same custom auto shop that you've seen already. You already have one in your CEO office and also if you want to play the new Contract Missions you have no other choice but to buy the Auto Shop just play them. Again its the same issue with Arena Wars where you had to buy the Arena just to play the modes. How can Rockstar repeat the same mistake?
And on top of it we get two of the most annoying characters since the black death and cholera

I looked up how to speed run it fully stealth and it’s a easy quick 1.5mil every hour and I’m only getting faster at completing it. Then I run contract missions during the cool down, In a week I doubled the money I started with. So R* did that one thing that saved the game for me cause all I do with my friend now is give them most of the cut so they can earn some money. Then we can play however we want without caring about the money.

It should, at most, cap it out at 300 rep which is rank 43 from the formula that GTASeriesVideos provided. That's roughly a rank a day when doing all the daily bonuses that's doable for a solo player.
I replicate a lot of irl cars in gta, I would literally pay a million to have some of the liveries but nonono I have to do thousands of races to even be able to buy them
A bit like research for the bunker? You pay either by fast tracking or decreased product by assigning staff to it, but you still have to purchase it afterwards.

@@maxx6526 so i've been farming rp using a race called "#DUB# fast race for farming rep. And got it down to where a race takes about 1-2 min. Before the next race starts. I am now lvl 89 so i'm slowly getting there
Rockstar should implement 2 part updates. We get the first initial update with everything in it, but then the next week we get another update where the make reasonable changes based on feedback.

While I find it cool that you have unlockable items that reflect how good or dedicated of a driver you are, they NEED to allow you to buy the liveries at least or expand the rep system by a longshot. Allow the auto shop to increase your rep, allow ANY street or stunt races to increase rep, let alone increase the amount of rep you get in general.

The way it could stay alive was if they actually made the rep system more of something which you can earn. At this moment the rep system is a joke. Ultimately your best method is to go afk. When your game is literally saying being afk is better than actually playing the game then there's no wonder it's dead. Like at least have something to grind. If contract missions actually gave reps people would be playing it a lot more. Right now I don't see any reason to play it except to try it out for the first time

Man that race was hard to watch. 9/10 times I get in a race and I'm winning, I have to constantly dodge idiots who think it's a great idea to go backwards on the track. On top of that, rockstar thinks it's alright to allow them to do so, and not ghost them or just outright turn them to spectators.

The max reputation rank should be 100, there's no need for it to go to 1000. By the time you hit rank 85 you'll get the discounts for every vehicle in the update, which is the main reason you'd want to rank up, not clothes

And getting the discounts for all 17 cars in the update doesn't even get you a tenth of the way to max. On the first day of the update, I went straight to the car meet after checking out the new cars, there were about 3-6 people in there, roughly 4 on the test track and 2 in the car meet itself, it was quite fun but then on the second day of the update I could barely find anyone to do head to head's with.

Within the first 3 days of the DLC I managed to find people at the car meet constantly, after that it died out really quick. I was once in a lobby with 10 people there at the same time.
Tbh car meet and freeroam should be separate so you can go in the car meet be put into a car meet lobby rather than hope someone from freeroam is in there.

I had a feeling that when I saw that Rep system when this update came out I am just like "Oh no....this is going to be Arena Wars 2.0" and my fear came true. Rockstar really messed this up. All of the clothing, custom parts, and to get your car meeting show is locked behind the stupid Rep system. What were they thinking? Did they not remember how back the Arena Wars update was back in 2018?
At least Arena War 1.0 gave an option to purchase what you wanted at a higher price in case you wanted to skip the grind. Tuners is just doggy doo doo

There's rly no need of even grinding for capitalé, just the first Quick Draw Club gives out a total of 65 capitalé & you only need 75 to play all 3 Opportunity missions to unlock their respective hats at Madam Nazar. All of the Crimes & Opportunities missions are practically one-&-done deals for the experience, they're not worth the grind for profitability.
And you can just earn those remaining 10 capitalés for simply trying out the 4 single-mission Crimes.
Also can we talk about how TRASH the level 1000 race suit is??? It’s literally pure blue with orange flames and it looks like a 5 year old designed them

I find the levels for those 10 Track Wheels and Liveries for the Tuners fair since they're up there with the trade prices for the Tuners and the new race modes, and the ability to hold your own private Car Meet, except the clothing which you do earn rep while wearing any, but not that much though, I can say the same for the new Street Races and Pursuit Races.
Not to brag or anything, but I predicted that the entire car meet thingy would be a ghost town within a week.

Imo drifting in freemode and impromptu races should give REP level, not like donuts and stuff but you know stuff that us car guys enjoy, like crusing around los santos highway, drive around the city, compete with friends in impromptu races Nd drifting in the city, stuff like that is what id give alot of rep for. Exapmle, doing an insane drift, holding it and going a distance with it would give rep. Let me know ur opinion or point out something different that could give rep.

I've made way more levels going afk overnight than I've earned by running races all day. Also has the added benefit of letting all your businesses convert supplies into cash, so when you come back the next morning, you have 10 new rep levels. And $3 million in products to sell every day, just from afk.

I finally found someone to do a Sprint race with yesterday, only to sit there waiting and waiting, with nothing happening. There was no countdown, but finally the route popped up on the mini-map, allowing me to go. But where the hell was the guy I was racing? His blip showed nearly at the checkpoint already. He obviously didn’t incur the same time penalty that I did. I do however, sometimes encounter people on the Test Track, parked, doing endless donuts or just driving aimlessly around. When I ask to have a race, there is rarely ever a response. Then I have to return my vehicle to storage or I will be locked in the Test Track forever, as Rockstar never thought you’d ever be ignored when you asked someone to race.
It really does tick me off that people already don’t care about the car meet i have been trying for a while to get sprint races for the prize ride and over today and yesterday I’ve gotten 3 races done i have to rely on randoms because my friends like most people don’t even play the game anymore fucking ridiculous

**The BEST strategy so far I have found is to find a friend or another player that wants to rank up is to grind ONE LAP(cause you get same rep points no matter how many laps) races with...1st place gets 165 points and 2nd gets 157...if I can’t find anyone I just suck it up and do random races but it sucks that it’s typically set at 3 laps and that’s a waste of time..only plus side to that is I always get more points when I get 1/2/3 place.
I am so upset that R* didn't get a grip after the arena war system. Not even gonna mention the RWD Audi rs4. Like....we need to start a movement of some kind in order for rockstar to understand that if they listen to what we have to say, it will make their game better for everyone.

I’ve just reached Reputation 100 from going afk each night. Honestly the fact we can’t buy any of the locked items is SO bad…..like why add content that we literally CANT use??…..

Yup I haveb no time to put that much effort in to grind so I do afk to get the cosmetics and save money
My console hasn't been turned off legitimately for like 3 days I just grind Pursuits and Streets Races till 4AM then go AFK while in the LSCM, wake up, shower, eat then rinse and repeat... this is my life now..😔

Riwi-Tia I was doing that but realized you don’t get the daily bonuses reset if you leave it on for more than 24 hours so restart gta and get those daily bonuses in the morning like mod you car do the time trial and test one of the 3 cars
🚬....They should allow us to have the option to switch Rep. for whatever you do. You can go to setting and change Rep to either Regular Rep, Arena War Rep, or the LS Tuner Rep. Whatever you do in the game can build off it even when you spin the podium wheel and get rep there frfr💯🔥🔥🧯
Out of curiosity, I decided to check how many races I've done in Forza Horizon 4 (a dedicated racing game)...since I've been playing that actively for over a year alongside GTA. The races are about as long as what you'd get in a typical public race in GTA. 1,954 races, and I've basically done everything there is to do, acquired basically every car (almost 750 of them), aside from a DLC pack I don't want and some impossible-to-get preorder cars.
And in GTA, it takes 4.5X the amount of races to unlock everything in this DLC, at 9,000+. That is insane.
JFC, I think you were the only one in that race who wasn't a griefer.
why would you even waste time trying to get level 1000 in this for some clothes

It kinda pisses me off how so many people asked for car meets and now everytime I go , there's nobody there. Before the update there were alot of car meets in LSC and now there are none 🤦♂️

Rockstar is a shadow of it’s former self. As someone who has been around since the very first GTA games, and who has played them all, I realise they have become too greedy and all they care about anymore is making money off of shark cards. For this reason I refuse to ever by a shark card. I’ve been grinding Cayo, and I’ve got many businesses, but the fact is, I play games to escape the monotony of real life! So to get home from real life work and turn on GTAV, only to have to monotonously grind and feel like I’m back at work anyways is bullshit, and then to have soulless c#*ts that drive backwards in races, or troll the shit out of you when you’re trying to do heist set ups just makes the game a straight up chore!
So congratulations ROCKSTAR you have taken one of the greatest and most successful franchises of all time and turned it into absolute shit. There are soo many other games that have more replay value and a shit ton of enjoyment!
Maybe they should change their name from “ROCKSTAR” to like “KIDDYPOP” or something, cause they’re more like Justin Bieber than Guns ‘n’ Roses now!
It’s also super aggravating when you start or join a race that has a full lobby, but almost everyone leaves (cause they can’t finish 1st) so the RP you gain is such a small amount it’s not worth doing...

If you want to get a livery for a car without levelling up listen up:
Take the car you want to get the livery / wheels on (locked ones) and take into someone else’s auto shop. When inside, hover over the livery / wheel and wait for the owner of the auto shop to leave. (Enter a auto shop in the lobby where the owner is in it, can do with friends) Most of the times it should work, when it does, go to LS customs and add a upgrade and it the livery / wheel should be saved. Hoped it helped
To fix it they need:
1. rep bonus on win/loss streaks in races
2. rep for EVERY TIME you use the test track (not just 2x a day like wtf who decided that)
3. they should give you rep for every car mod you buy in the LSCM mod shop (1/5 of a level would be fine per car mod purchased)
4. probably the most unlikely but half a level every time you beat your time trial time on the test track (would keep people at LSCM who actually play)
5. last but not least we literally have the auto shop heists, the car delivery missions and exotic exports, which are all new content and part of this very dlc that earn you 0 rep
I know they will never be this generous but i think we deserve 1/5 a level per exotic export/customer car delivery, and an entire level for a contract (if they would just do this it would be fixed lol)
Whole update is disappointing to be honest, was hoping for actual tuning and performance not just Benny's part two 😕
This update was a short lived marketing trick to capitalize on the new f9 movie hype and it really shows in the details
I ran into a clan that had one guy lock down a chokepoint at a warehouse. He would gatekeep this entrance so his buddy could easily maintain the lead.
Rockstar, ghost anyone who drives in reverse or takes too long to reach a new checkpoint!
all this is because EVERY game out there with a rank up system or progression set up feels its necessary to make the grind so damn mind numbing, and dont realize, PLAYERS dont do that anymore. They will quit the game, or find other things to do within the game that are less grindy. WoW started it off with Dailies, and everyone has yet to realize that bandwagon burned down a LONG time ago...There is actually a company that has GRINDING in the title. This really needs to stop. I don’t want to play the new races or races in general anymore because there are always people driving backwards or intentionally ramming you of the track which is especially annoying in the stunt races.
Something they missed is the delivery/service cars not giving you rep/throwing in cars with trade prices and servicing them unlocks the trade prices as an alternate means of getting the trade price instead of hoping the game gives you it at a random fifth level in the meet rep system.
I'm a casual player and I usually don't spend on a car collection, so I really loved the idea of winning prize cars by doing tasks.
Downer: Current task is to win 5 sprint races, I've been lobbyhopping for hours and couldn't find anyone. -.-
Maybe I'm overly critical, but it also feels a bit tedious to derp around aimlessly hoping for one of those 10 Export Cars to spawn...
At least with the Arena Wars level system You could buy the locked stuff for an elevated Price if you were too lazy to grind the Arena Wars modes,this time Rockstar is literally forcing you to play races or sit afk at the car meet place to level up like WTF is this BS,ain't nobody gonna hang around the car meet place for hours,it's eventually gonna get boring and my experience with the new races is awful,i constantly get toxic lobbies where people just constantly ram each other,this is not encouraging for me to play the new races at all and it gets old after a while.I am sorry,even if i like some of the locked liveries and clothing stuff,i am definitely not grinding these new rep levels completely at all,i stopped at 106 currently and i am not thinking about continuing.This is an outrageous situation!!!
I don't think the rep points are paying that low as GhillieMaster says it in the video but i agree with the races above 6 players bonus thing. Everything else is fine in my opinion cuz people who spend more time with the things in the update deserve more points than people who don't. Like for example if there is a casual player who doesn't spend that much time with the update things then they shouldn't get as much points as a player who does the update things everyday for an hour or more (races or just being on the track drifting or doing time trials). The getting points for just driving in freemode is just stupid unless its like a really small amounts of points. I have noticed that he called getting the points "grind" in the video and i think that is the source of the problem: It's not supposed to be looked at as a grind. You get the points by doing the things that you a) enjoy and that means you spend time with it and after spending your time which you enjoyed you get more thing to enjoy or b) don't enjoy and so that means you don't have to do them unless you do it for a livery os something and then the grind begins cuz the working part of the grind is not always fun and that's just something that needs to be accepted.
Edit: the last change he mentioned is actually really great and should be implemented.
I said in many upcoming GTA tuners DLC comments sections that rockstar needs to stop the community meetings spaces because no one is ever there. Nightclubs, casino, music locker, Cayo island are all empty

I think one problem that is hard to tackle but I think is valid is that there are too many activities in GTA and I personally can't be bothered to play some of the new stuff.
Honestly I think updates that tidy up the game, balance stuff, or adds actual game changing features rather than just some new properties to visit or new races and such. I would love an update that tidies up the game and balances it with 0 new content over what we just got.
A game changing update would be to rework how lobbies work, such as a lobby type that lets you play like normal but other players are not killable, and a lobby type where killing others is actually rewarding so peace and war can be had separately. A lobby where you can play the game normally but you know 100% for sure that you wont be blown up when hanging out with 7 other people would change the game so much more than a new property ever could.
Another needed feature would be to remove the k/d system. I have a k/d of ~10.8 and it actually ruins some game play cause I don't really care but its still in the back of my head when I die. I don't want to play death match cause of this stupid number even tho I have made a few death match levels of my own with the editor.
I'd love to talk about other changes that could make the game in it's entirety better, but basically currently every update adds content that piles up with the rest and is not different enough. We need changes to more basic aspects of the game that actually change the feel of the game.
Also despite a high k/d ratio I hate that it exists cause I am a competitive person and it stops me from having more fun in the game as every player interaction is a risk, and yes I could ignore it but it's not as easy as that. I should not need to ignore a game mechanic to have fun especially if it genuinely bothers me, besides other players will also keep being aggressive towards me as long as this number exists.
At the very least I have 2000 hours in GTA, and it's one of my favorite games. But it's stale now and always will be if they keep making these uneventful updates. I did however buy a new copy on an alt account and played 77 hours from scratch and it was the most fun I had in GTA for a while cause I got to grind the lower levels again. Maybe trying to play GTA fresh as an og could be a good video for Ghillie to make? There is something about starting off GTA Online fresh that Rockstar did well that made it so much more enjoyable for me to play rather then to keep grinding on my 2000 hours account with I assure you all properties owned and 99% of the good vehicles in the game owned as well (minus anything from last two updates maybe).
The thing about rockstar is that they are good at hyping things up at the beginning, but they can't maintain the hype for long.
From a rational standpoint, it makes sense doing the contracts on the side have no relation to rep in the car meet since building rep would only come through the races and stuff

What they should have done. Custom car sounds, more tyre smoke when drifting, trading cars. They should also add more race cars like older f1 type cars and upgrade sounds so that they’re super loud and you can hear the scream of a super car coming down the street and remove the oppressor
The Worst part is not even having an option to pay extra for those livery & wheels instead of grinding rep.

The fact that this is the best way to level up and I’m around level 40 and it’s just going to keep getting worse per level promotion. This is really unfortunate
Im lvl 57 and i takes 3 full lobby races to level up so yeah its all downhill from here

Man's speaking facts. I think earning rep should go even further and players can earn rep while driving turner cars in freemode doing things like near misses, hitting max speed, drifting, losing the cops, driving in formation, stunt jumps and clean driving.
You know what upsets me more than the level system,just how little time they put into balancing the handling of most tuner cars.How do you take a whole update about cars and make them worse than all the previous non tuner cars
What bothers me is that in order to win these races, I technically have to buy and upgrade these new cars to the max just for a chance to win and earn rep. I'm not a car culture person. I don't *want* these cars, nor (respectfully) share the same hype over them like the GTA car community may. The Car Meet and Test Track aren't gonna see much use for me.
I *do* however, enjoy the Auto Shop stuff. The contracts are easy, small bursts of money when I don't feel like repetitively doing Cayo Perico all the time. And something about having a legitimate business front as a *functioning Auto Shop* gives me a feel-good feeling. I know GTA is all about criminal stuff, but sometimes I just want that good-guy Red Dead aspect without the whole FiveM RP server stuff.
Plus, free repairs at any player's auto shop? It's basically a better, more convenient LSC. I specifically bought the one in Rancho to fill in the map and provide convenience for other players who would like an auto shop without driving to the usual NPC ones.
The dlc is cool, but in the 3rd day when it was realeased I could not imagine myself going insids that test track or the car meet no more. It just looks so dead and old-fashioned as a GTA player. Seriously, sincs 2013 there are street races like that, its not fun no more. Not to mention how unrealistic the persuit is, omg. There are 30 billion cops waiting for you somewhere un the map, they lag hit you, other players pass you. Really this DLC is feeling so boring. Cmon rockstar, u were better at 2015-2017
