- GTA Online has always had its fair share of cheaters, more so on the PC version of the game. Well it pains me to say that that's no longer the case, as there is now an overabundance of cheaters on the next gen console versions of the game. God Mode, Off Radar Glitches, Orbital Cannon Spam, the list goes on... This video is a little showcase of what its like to play in public lobbies in its current state.

I hadnt played console gta for a while and when i got on recently i genuinely thought i might as well be playing on pc. Every other session theres a guy in godmode doing some stupid glitch. sad timess
But are they throwing you into the air with a fire hose and summoning you to their apartments and blowing up the server and causing endless ringing and taking away your controls and..
I'd kill for dealing with just god mode :( PC Player here obviously.

It often is that bad that they just kick me into a infinite loading screen so I have to relaunch the game, or they just close my game. R* is doing great work...

Thanks for speaking out on behalf of the community, the game is in a terrible state, on PC and console. The fact that part of the legit playerbase feel they have to cheat themselves now too, in order to be able to even play the game without getting harassed by gltichers/ modders etc. really says it all.

At least from my experience, I’ve noticed the amount of cheaters has sky rocketed in the past two weeks. Previous to that, I would encounter a godmode player once every 10 sessions. But now, there’s at least 1 every 2 sessions. Not to mention the orb spammers because I also noticed a few of those clowns. The fact they use these exploits to have an unfair advantage then have the audacity to message you ‘lzzzz’ is stupid.
Kids are out of school, thats one reason for seeing so much more.

it's actually crazy that a money freeze program works with rockstar trying to secure their bottom line. Guess it's not that many people using it.

Rockstar can't do anything in game about it anyway because it's a 3rd party software but they can send their legal goons after them if they see fit and even then nothing would change because another version of it would pop up

I have being complaining to R* support about this situation for a long time, many times, and they don’t do anything about it , they don’t help me and they don’t compensate me in any type of way for the abusing from cheaters. It’s really depressing how R* treat their players, outraging.
Now you can even be a monthly paying customer (ripoff) and still they will not do anything about it

Looks like I’m not alone in this situation. Yesterday on PS5 I ran into 5 players using perma off radar. It pushed me to the edge so much I had to use thermal jet.

Btw you can tell when someone is doing frozen money/orb spam if they’re wearing checkerboard shoes, blue jeans, black T-shirt(most of the times) and red ear defenders. Their face and facial features should also be very weird

I agree. I barely get on GTA anymore. The glitches are just insane. I won't lie I've used godmode once just to protect myself when I simply wanted to mod cars. I'd like to get on with you sometime. I moved to next gen without knowing I'd lose my previous character. So I don't have people to play with. It's just collecting dust at this point

@@Smilieyjr Last gen is likely not much better anyway so I doubt there'd be any good reason to. Besides, I'm pretty sure there's never been an update to go back to last gen. Once you transfer, it's done. I never heard of anything in any game where you can transfer "backwards". You're probably better to just play a totally different game so you aren't wasting your time or doing unnecessary crap just to play one single game.
If I were you, just play something else and use GTA Online as a "goof around" type game when you can't be bothered to play something else. Don't fall into the Sunk Cost fallacy trap or you'll have a very hard time escaping it.

A year later and nothing really changed. Today I was in two lobbies back to back and they had like atleast 3+ cheaters using God mode and teleporting all around the map killing me and other players. Blowing up our cars and so on. Like it's so sad, I always wanna talk to these cheaters to understand what sad life they are having to do something like this and ruine the game for everyone in the lobby
I don't think Rockstar can permanently fix console godmode glitches,it would just be a temporary fix since there will most definitely be someone who will find a workaround way to bring these glitches back into the game,so I think it would be better if they actually made a new and ACTUAL WORKING in-game report system which actually tracks these cheaters when they get reported and ban them instantly(yes not reset since that won't change anything),banning them would discourage more basement dwellers who value their GTA accounts from exploiting these glitches.

Beside tracking cheater, it as well works as bug tracking. It's like killing 2 birds with a single bullet. One you can ban the abuser, 2nd you can identify the bug/exploit and fix them on the spot. Making their jobs easier.

Everyone is bringing in the "Oh when the DLC comes it will be fixed" Let me ask you something. When is the last time this game had a proper patch where most of the glitches were fixed? If you go to TheProfessional he made a video saying how a glitch from years ago is still apparent when selling cargo. He was playing on the PS5 and this glitch still happens. If anyone defends this you need to give yourself a hard look in the mirror and ask yourself "Why am I playing this broken game?" Really think about how this game still continues to have issues when a billion dollar company hasn't even done much to improve it.
But they re released the game AGAIN and GTA+ dude... there trying? Took ark devs 24hours to patch godmode BTW.....

Watching console players complain about how bad cheating has gotten is like being in the hottest layer of hell hearing someone in Texas complain about the heat.
In all seriousness this is a sad state of affairs, though. If they can't fix known glitches they sure aren't ever stopping mod menus.

glitches and mod menus are different things though? glitches get patched everyday in games which the developers care about. mod menus on the other hand are a different story but at the end of the day Rockstar needs to step up
God mode players, God mode vehicles, orb spam, money glitches, teleporters, vehicles merges, gctfg, and ip logging. I've been doxed, orb spammed, killed by God mode players, killed by Perma off radar players, bullied during cargo sell/vehicle sell by God mode jets etc. Rockstar is a joke and I hope they know that
Man, when I returned to Battlefield 1 after playing GTA PvP for a year or so straight, wow, what a breath of fresh air.
- Playing an actual PvP game felt so much better
- No BS exploitable game mechanics
- Variety in the gameplay
- Being a K/D warrior actually means something
GTA PvP compared to any other shooter just feels stale, pointless, unfulfilling and like garbage.
It just feels better, it plays better, the community is better (It's toxic but not DDOS you toxic).

@@Seronu GTA is solid for all of those activities. PVP however is not and is super in-balanced and is mostly PTW. PVP is broken.
I agree with you Ghillie, I haven’t been on GTA in a few months because I can’t be in a lobby without being targeted by a god mode user, orbital spammer or some other weirdo..
Seeing this honestly makes me want to stay away all the more.

11 months later still this problem. I was new to GTA online and was just minding my own business doing mission then this one player always popping in thin air then killing me.
Mad respect to you though for not playing unfair against degenerates like them. They can say all they want and godmode all they want but that won't even remotely give them the amount of respect you can offer in just a minute of a video.

On ps5 I rarely run into godmode or orb spam, only during Nitrix’s Stream but its sad what this game had become
Every time I join a lobby, there is at least two or three guys using god mode, or thermal jets, or orbs and so on. It gets tiresome, and makes me not want to play anymore. No one seems to have real skill anymore these days.
I use god mode in bad sport only too go Taser or blow up other annoying god mode griefers i try saving people getting messed up by a cheater. Last night i trash talk this guy and his lame ass girl friend using god mode they didnt even kill me once i stayed in passive too afyer i failed using god mode too kill them i just drowned myself because its so damn boring i was getting irritated being in it for 15 min chasing them in NPCs cars gosh that shits so lame idk how they like it

I avoid these issues by just keeping to myself in solo public lobbies. Just because it's a multiplayer game doesn't mean I have to actually play with other players unless their my homes. Plus, I'm not missing out on anything anyway.

Rockstar has been too busy on the new consoles that they have forgotten about PC having all of these issues. Its NOW they realize something was wrong.
PC doesn't really suffer much from these glitches, because the trashpiles who would find them attractive simply get a mod menu instead.
Ok, hear me out, I use godmode, BUT, I only use to kill cargo griefers, play with no cops, walk around like a civilian or kill people with ridiculously high KDs as they desperately try to ewo loop into passive.
I am the prime example of getting a mod menu to protect myself from other mod menus
As a PC player I would even argue, based on what I saw in the clips, that the console situation is even a bit worse than pc right now. Because the last time I noticed a proper modder was (comparably) a rather long time ago, like half a month or so
I think it's fair to say the PC version will always be better and worse with Online vs console.
Even though you may not experience it much, many do. And when they do, not only are they hit with an unfair disadvantage, but they're also having their IP addresses exposed if not using a VPN n stuff, can easily get DDoS'd, among other things a modder can do that a glitcher on Console can only dream of doing.
But it's better in the fact that PC has the option to use FiveM where you can have an infinitely better Online experience vs the official one with servers you can choose that best fits your playstyle and what you find fun.

Would argue it's more frequent there, because they lack other means of booting players.

Reporting never does anything anyways. I could report every single one of the people that I’ve come across with evidence and nothing would happen. Never seen a player get punished over anything that wasn’t a money glitch

This is exactly why I've not played in a few months. R* have made it very clear that they only care about making money. They let godmode run rampant, and demand money from their players on their nearly-9-year-old game. So sick of this game honestly.

@@GrimHC I quit GTA because this game is like a neglected child being taken care of by parents who do crystal meth, heroin, cocaine, bath salts, and any drug that ruins your life. These fucking devs make COD devs look like saints. I have been off GTA for about about...I'd say 6 months, and I had the intention of returning when Rockstar fixes the game and gives more incentives to play, but with how I keep seeing it, not even console is safe from cheaters. At this rate, I am done with this game indefinitely, I refuse to support a company that has no incentive on fixing their game or making it worth playing anymore, if COD can implement an anti cheat, Rockstar can too, but they refuse to because they do not care.
I'm kinda sad you quit tbh but it's the right thing to do atm, there is a modder every 5 minutes and we've come to the point where modders messageblame or killblame everyone else...

I don’t see the fun in cheating in a game where normal gameplay has overpowered jets, tanks, and orbital cannons.

The tragic reality is I don't expect rockstar to spend any time or money fixing their own bug filled mess, not whilst gta6 is allegedly in production. They've milked the cash cow for years, now its time to drain the swamp
The other problem. Is even if we report the people. Rockstar does nothing to them. Its frustrating as all hell. I've literally not been able to find a public lobby for months where i don't run into at least 1 cheater. Perm off radar. God mode. It really makes the game trash and unfun to play.

Orb spammers, off radar glitch, godmode, off radar godmode, wall breaches, hangar snipe jobs, teleport glitches, godmode speedos and other godmode vehicles, lag switches, thermal glitch. One of those you meet in every lobby on xbox at moment. Most are Even easy to do. And rockstar just doesnt care. At moment i Miss the times when we mainly had jet griefers and suicidal tryhards.
This game does have every reason to be criticized.
Criticism isn't the same thing as hate.
Criticize things you want to live healthily, hate the things you want to die horribly.
Simple solution- Let Rockstar employees play a total of 50 lobbies at least spending an hour each. By the end, they’ll understand the crap we deal with in every lobby.
Simple solution is stop giving Rockstar money.
It seems I'm lucky with when I play this game. I never played during huge ban waves (not that I did something to deserve a ban), I never did glitches that reset my account and now I stopped playing entirely since expanded and enhanced avoiding this defcom 1 level of cheaters.
Yup. That pretty much sums it up. I have completely stopped playing GTA (Xbox Series X) over the past few weeks, with the cheaters being a BIG reason why, in addition to the game just being stale at the moment. Almost every lobby I join has at least one orb spammer, god mode van, god mode Buffalo, god mode player, off-radar glitch player, or thermal jet.
On the last day that I played GTA, an orb spammer got me, then his god mode friend was waiting at the hospital who instantly got me, then set a bounty on me so I couldn't go passive, got me again, and then the orb spammer put a bounty on me and got me again. I was able to heist warp to my apartment, then went passive to get over to my nightclub to get a god mode van 🤢 just to prevent from getting orbed. Then the god mode player and his friend in a god mode Buffalo teamed up on me and shot me out, and which point I got orbed again and a different god mode player was again waiting for me at the hospital...... At which point, I switched sessions (I know, I should have done that a lot sooner...). And then after a few minutes in the new session, her comes a god mode van.
At that point, I closed the game.
THIS HAS TO STOP!!!!!!!
As a professional orb spammer I think we deserve more respect. I use my skills for good when people blow up cargo and stuff.
Funny how their “fix” for this is to just let people do heist prep and sell mission in private sessions so people stop complaining lmao. I don’t run into orb spammer ever but godmode plenty of times, whether it be gm vehicles or the player itself. It’s like 1/3 the sessions I join is someone in godmode or that permanent off radar thing. Sucks that these glitches stick around for months or even years while money glitches are patched within days. Both are equally pathetic but just shows what their priorities are.
To think Rockstar of all companies failed to impalement a proper cheat system is just pathetic.

And Ghillie, I recently took a break from GTAV as a game, and am still on that break, and I have been playing a lot more RDR2 recently, and the graphics on RDR2 are way better then GTA on the PS4, cause I’m not gonna lie, I’m still on a PS4
I'm an advocate for solo experiences in a multiplayer game as multiplayer should be a choice, not something that should be forced.
I find it ignorant to just say "there's Story Mode for solo players" especially when we all know GTA Online is what gets the updates, not Story Mode. R* understands solo in multiplayer is just as important because they've made their recent updates entirely solo friendly with the OPTION to play with other people, and content is scaled based on how many players there are.
But the other side is 100% true. Solo should be a choice in multiplayer, not forced. I personally feel forced to play in Invite Only or Public Solo just to enjoy the game. I'm a PvE player at heart and with how unrestricted PvP is, it's annoying to have the PvE interrupted. ESPECIALLY when R* cannot be asked to fix the glitching/modding issues to save their lives. So I either shut myself away from the players or don't play period.
Yeah the fact that freemode in this game is so unhinged just sucks, especially for PVE. PVP is basically forced upon the player, whether that means the stuff you're moving puts a bright red target on your back or you're forced to fight another player because you have no choice unless you want to get greifed until you have to leave. PVE in freemode is so easily ruined by other players, and it's also the reason this game is so unfriendly to new players.

Yeah the risk reward ratio is so unbalanced along with the amount of time you have to fork over. It's just plain unfair.
And the aggressor after your cargo isn't being rewarded enough to do the dirty deed, but they won't waste time to waste your time.
In an environment like this, balancing is super important yet it's the last thing that gets properly adjusted if at all. RD Online was a step in the right direction with balancing the coexisting sides but the support for it was so terrible that not enough players were enjoying the game to sustain it, now it's dead. That was R*'s fault 100% though.

If I could change the orb I would make the cooldown 4 hours in real life (basically the casino lucky wheel timer) and add a 24 hours immunity to the player that was orbed
And the game force saves when the orb shoots so the player can't close the game to counteract the timer, basically the player had to close the game before the orb shoots so it would cancel the countdown, if I couldn't do that I'd just remove from the game and burn the hard drive that contain the files like you said
Disclaimer: the reason I said 4 hours for the timer of the orb is due to if the cannon is electric based (a railgun for example), so it will take a long time to recharge, because the orb is a blue tracer so i presume that is electric.
Or you know. Just remove it from freemode and only available in the doomsday heist.

PC has been living with cheaters since 2016 when it became somewhat infrequent. 2022... it seemed the only person in lobby without a mod was me . Uninstalled GTAO PC a couple months ago. Good riddance and never buying a rockstar game, ever. And the issues like orbital cannon, make no sense in how it was coded. Instead of current crap, 1) user selects orbital cannon 2) cooldown is applied to user profile 3) cost is firing is applied to user profile 4) user then goes to target select screen
This is my channel where I posted modder cheaters. It came to where all I was doing was recording and posting modders instead of PLAYING THE GAME. So after my last posted video, I trashed all the recordings that I had yet to edit/trim and uninstalled GTAO PC ... problem solved.
I don’t mind joining public sessions in GTA: Online, but I do have problems with the modding and cheating going on. When I first started playing GTA: Online as a level 1, everything was cool for a while, until some asshole modder randomly decides to join the same lobby I was in, and blow everyone up, including me, for no reason at all. They were either teleporting to different players all over the map, or teleporting players to one specific location trapping us in a cage and obliterating us just for fun.
It doesn’t matter what platform you’re playing GTA: Online on. Old-gen, next-gen, or even PC.
I stopped playing for a while, and then I played again but only in invite only sessions just so nobody can just f*** me in the ass as I play. I’m now somewhere at level 740 legitimately now. But I stopped playing the game because it’s just so boring just playing all by myself. It’s not GTA: Online if it’s just you playing by yourself.
I stopped playing this game not just because of the cheating/modding, glitches and exploits this game has, but because I just don’t think it’s fun anymore. If anything I might as well uninstall the game.
I hate with a vengance how rockstar will patch a useless clothing glitch overnight, or a glitch to bring online cars to story mode, but all these annoying cheats are left untreated like a painful canker sore.
It's on purpose and no one will change my mind about this. They want this behavior.
The good news tho, is that next month we can finally expect the Oppressor MK II nerf that was teased a few months ago

A multi billion dollar company and they can’t even fix a small little glitch. GTA online just needs to die at this point. It’s not even fun anymore it’s just filled with cheaters and wannabe tryhard griefers.
You know the fliegerfaust from BFV should be on GTA Online, where it took 1-2 shot on aircraft depending your accuracy
Better option too would be to buff the homing launcher against aircraft.
I played this crap on PC for 2k hours and just deleted it out from existence. I even got crashed 3 times in a SINGLE DAY!!! You can't win against modders on PC. I'm done.
This is almost just as bad as when GTA Online first launched back in 2013 and back then there was so many mods on the old consoles. I am DEAD serious.

@@GhillieMaster Well back then everyone was given modded Money and I know that Rockstar didn't take too kindly to that. This was when you had the feature to share money with players but because of what the cheaters/modders did they removed it.
If you cheat to defend yourself against cheaters you're not fighting them, you're joining them.

Like the devs HAVE to know that the PvP is broken as all hell for years now, but yet nothing is fixed/removed. I truly believe they are doing all of this on purpose.
I can't see in any stretch of the imagination not letting these godmodes, orb spams, ... just because they are unaware of the issues, to me it's just clear that they are doing this to force grinders to buy sharkcards.
It might get a bit into conspyracy stuff but would anyone be surprised if it turned out to be the case, knowing how hard R* became greedy these last years ?

From someone who left GTA ever since 2020 ended, im glad I kinda left on Xbox One. GTA online is a mess and rockstar doesn’t care is the problem. Rockstar always care about money and not the problems. Have one of the staff even tried playing public lobbies?
I think the first update will be make it or break it. We'll see how they really intend to treat the game going forward. They've said some nice things in newswires. Maybe things will get better. The first update will let us know. Hopefully in a months time we'll know

I think modders can crash your PC (apparently by increasing ram usage of the game somehow, if you don't have enough ram it'll crash some essential windows process or something) now I came across a modder who's been harassing the crew I'm in and was using the task manager to have a solo lobby as in the past it worked but not this time the modder was able to follow me anyways had to quit to story mode after being spammed with lots of audio and later on my PC got a BSOD haven't had that problem before and after that incident

but there is an off-radar bug in deathmatches that is very easy to to and it allows you to stay off radar the entire match.
GTA Online had a thriving deathmatch community a lot of great teams/players etc it was active, events, CvC, etc
but it all died because of the off-radar bug because it got to where the only factor deciding who wins or loses is which team has more players going off-radar
It’s a simple fix too, nothing too crazy but Rockstar doesn’t give a fuck

Their mistake was also tying orb player kill to an achievement. I wonder how would that work if orb was to be removed.
People would still abuse it if that achievement didn’t exist. It just needs to be removed from the game

4:14 that’s the player who has been in my lobby! As i joined in and heard orbital cannon sounds i just go into passive mode, save my friend getting blown up and picked him up with an hybrid sports car. At this time inside he cannot die from the orb spam and the cheater is still trying
Edit: 5:06 that’s another player I’ve seen in my lobby. Currently i play on free aim lobbies so i assume these cheaters are switching between the target priority. For some reason their K/D ratio isn’t changing

The thing is, you get banned for getting given money.
Godmode and orbital Cannon griefers aren't even the worse of the modders. There are modders that can fetch your IP address and repeatedly kick you from a session or dox your address in game or crash your game without being online.
It's a serious problem, not just godmode and orb spammers
I am on PC and sometimes I am seriously considering getting a mod menu just to ruin the game for everyone who abuses mod menus against normal people because the modder spam in every session is unreal and you can't do anything about them

I refuse to play that much anymore or take this game seriously ever again until this is fixed. I literally had a God mode loser the other day who started out playing normal and couldn't beat me normally so he left and rejoined in god mode glitch, Then said ez this game is pathetic.

If anything Rockstar should just ignore the money glitches because they are not the cause of the big problems apart from the mk2.
Well I guess just play in invite only sessions. Public lobbies are for killing and cargo. So find quiet sessions for cargo and for fighting go in a popular session. If you find a god mode player just try to get them out of it or find a new session. It’s a broken game you shouldn’t cry over glitches. If you can’t beat them join them

War has changed entirely, I tried coming back to it on next gen after 6 months of MIA and i was just disappointed and disgusted at what rockstar wont fix and has patched
