YES YES YES YES YES YES YES Hands down one of my favorite Genesis soundtracks. I was actually going to request you to do this one back when your model 1 system was still working... I think it sounds better with the bass from the older machine. Do you have FLAC recordings available? Coincidentally the SNES version of the game has all the exact same track names/titles, but the entire soundtrack is different.

there's something about this game that makes me feel like I'm in a rich's person atmosphere, it is probably the music, girls, pool game vibe, traveling, etc.
Muito bom... recordar é viver!! Muito joguei essa sinuca... é naquele tempo, era muito difícil zerar esse jogo! Não existia internet, com isso, tínhamos que zerar o game no "talento" sem cheats... 😁
Side Pocket is toned down version of Pocket gal made by data east in the late 80s. Objective was to play pool and you'd see the opponent girls strip when you win. Some of the soundtracks are the same too
I love this OST! So peacefull and relaxing! DUSTINODELLOFFICIAL! I was right when i subscrived when i saw you had OST's from Shinobi 3 and Thunder Force IV. Great Job! :)
Damn, I think this is the only game I've found so far where the SNES and Genesis versions sound so different, but not because they're using different instruments for the same music. Sure, some of the tracks give the same vibes, but if you didn't know the games were the same I wouldn't blame you for not knowing.
Is the YM2612 still being manufactured or are there just assloads of them floating around? A small market like this (game sound purity) needs a sound card design with a free license so it could be like a DIY kit to build proper sound support for whatever the desired system. Obviously the emulator(s) would have to work with such a concept, but I have always been flustered by the lack of sound hardware options and I'm not bright enough to pull off such a feat.. I wish something like this would magically appear!
Also, the Genesis score is easily the best between it and the SNES one. The SNES one isn't as good, in my opinion. For some reason, Data East produced this version, but not the one on the SNES.
I agree the music in the Snes version is just too chill sounding for its own good and ends up sounding not exactly catchy but more bland and unremarkable. The megadrive ost defiantly gets that catchy, jazzy "just hanging out" kinda vibe sound down pat. The arcade only Pocket Gal defiantly has my favorite ost out of all of them tho.
@@Rtype90mk2 I wish the Genesis version would have had their version of "Pocket Magic", the Bonus Stage tune from the original "Side Pocket" (and one of my favorite Bonus Stage themes ever), but other than that, the Genesis version is perfection.

Ton Master I mean, yeah I know the system itself and the DAC channel. My question was about they recorded the midi drums to make the percussion in the DAC channel. Because the audio samples sounds like that midi pattern drum, i think it's Roland or something like that, ya know what i'm saying?
Eduardo Teodoro midi drums??? No it's a pcm sample like human voice is recorded and then sampled in to the DAC...YM2612 doesn't support midi pattern drums...drums in genesis is made through dac/pcm or PSG...or using kind of FM like effects(not pattern) to make it

This game was obviously aimed at more mature players because the cover implies that a sexy lady is gonna knock your balls around
Grab that wood & knock those balls around, it's time to play pocket pool. Side Pocket pool.

The music matched the game so well. It had some serious late 80’s aesthetic too.
More like early 90's....
It's incredible how fuller the sound is when executed in the real and proper hardware the music was programmed for.

Imagine seeing the actual Sega Genesis case in a store. No dust under the cover or anything.
Wooh that DX7 electric piano though.
Googled that. Yup ur right
Love(d) this game so much! The music( Cue ball boogie is one of my favs!) alone went so well with the graphics and game. We played this game so much!
PCM cymbals? Excellent!
Gotta love Mega Drive jazz ;)
My dream is to hear a true jazz ensemble playing "Groovin'".
In the arcade game "Pocket Gal Deluxe", you hear a real jazz version, granted it's a loop.
