This entire OST sounds like the Japanese god of thunder himself descended from the clouds in a bolt of lightning just to make this music. Toshiaki Sakoda is THE MAN!
I know some people don't like MUSHA's instrumentation, but I for one love this shit. Raw FM to the core. Armed armor is the absolute shit man....fucking great game too.
Got this game recently, haven't been blown away by a game like that ever when I beat it. I collect snes and Genesis. This is something the snes doesn't have like the Genesis doesn't have a super metroid.
The SNES might've had the advantage in processing, but it couldn't come close to matching the sound of Genesis/Mega Drive, have always loved the soundchip it used.
That metal sound. This came out while painkiller was coming out. Metal was going in this direction at the time. To me anyway this is basically painkiller 16 bit tracks we never got.
Finally, a real hardware recording of M.U.S.H.A. has been uploaded to RUclips! This is one of those games that just sounds overly harsh on emulators, and as expected it sounds infinitely better on an actual Genesis.
You can run the Genesis Plus GX core in retroarch and in Retroarch's audio settings, under Audio DSP plugin, enable HighShelfDampen. Give it a go. You might just be surprised at how close it sounds.
02:37 Fullmetal Fighter Essa trilha é inacreditavelmente linda, jogar ao som dela o primeiro estagio era incrível demais... Obra prima do Mega Drive...
I think Fullmetal Fighter might be my favourite first level theme in any game, ever. (Tho, if it's not that, it'd be "Fighting back" from Thunder Force IV).
Fan soundtrack 0:00 long time ago... 2:37 Alpha attack 5:11 rigid as snow 8:15 back in time 11:27 all that you lived 14:26 black fire 18:34 inside the invasion 20:16 Blitz ambush 23:42 is it the end? (Still in progress, so don't comment)
Another game, I have yet to beat. Hmmmm, Fullmetal Fighter is my fav. I would love a remake of this game with the ost being arranged with real instruments.
awesome...I remember there was some way to play the soundtrack from the game...so I recorded on cassette and listened over and over. Still sounds good. There is another that reminds me of this...Robot Aleste. ruclips.net/video/RIGe3c4nlSc/видео.html
While this version sounds amazing and I appreciate you uploading this... may I ask why model 2 and not model 1? I've heard many say that model 1 has better sound.
As this game was import in europe and our consoles were running at 50hz and not 60hz sounds weird listening it at this higher speed. But puting it at 0,75 is too slow because 5/6 (0,84) is faster and that speed cannot be chosen in youtube. For me 0.84 is the right speed.
I do agree that this game is somewhat overrated. It's a great SHMUP, but it's nowhere near the best and it cannot compare to the likes of Thunder Force 3 and 4, the former having already been out at the time for around 5 months.

Those ppl are nuts, irrespective of hardware limitations, compile make those limitations fucking work!!. Great soundtrack 👌
Hello "MD Profile"!👋
So brutal, this is the best soundtrack of the sega genesis in my opinion
Well... Thunder force IV is better in my opinión and empire of steel would be very close if not better.
This game melts my face every time I listen to it, Yamaha 2612 is immortal!
Robo Aleste also didn't let down.
One of the most intense video game soundtracks... ever. And i mean EVER.
The best Genesis game, and I think the best shooter of all time
I agree
Thunder Force 4 wants to say hello
@@guilhermediniz6084 I prefer mecha over ships.

@@DanielRivera-on5qh The closest the Genesis has to Super Metroid is Monster World 4.
25:33 For the Love of... Best track imo! - Love the soundchip of the mega drive with it's hard and metallic atmosphere

Seconded, it's a very good emulation. The Blastem emulator is getting there too.
Oh nice, I haven't heard of Blastem before. Looks promising.
What about Regen?
It is pretty good. On par with Kega Fusion. Acceptable for probably 90% of all games.
sega wiins best track of all time for videogame
one of my favorite games ever from back of SEGA 16 bit game console
"See the front of a ten-screen menace, not even a boss!"
I have never played another cartridge based game with this much music on it! I was stunned when I first played it at a friends house waaaay back.
I have to be honest, Galvanic Gear is badass.
Just played in genesis for the first time and came here instantly
Simply one of my favorite shmups and soundtracks of all time combined in one awesome package. All hail the legend that is MUSHA!
Not just the best soundtrack on the mega drive, not just the best soundtrack, not just the best sound, not just the best, this is absolutely the.
Get home from work, make some coffee and blast this music!
Had my headphones plugged into max in my sega genesis while playing this game. Beat it several times. Best game.
Soundtrack for this one is soooo hype.
11:27 Divine Devise and 20:16 Aggressive Attack are the jams son!
Im all about Armed Armor myself!
Noh Spectre fuckin RIPS
Full metal fighter is that shiznit for me
very powerful music
I'm listening to the soundtrack on my model 1 Sega genesis Atm. Nothing compares to the real hardware sound on some good stereo speakers.
02:37 Fullmetal Fighter

E ainda tem outras melhores que ela no jogo.
I'll take analog FM over the SNES's sampling any day. Don't know if I have the concepts right.
This type of FM synthesis is digital, but other than that I have to agree with you!
Brutal, sencillamente magistrales las composiciones y lo bien que suena el Yamaha de Megadrive.
One of my fave Genesis/Megadrive soundtracks, and one of my fave games as well, such a classic...thank you for uploading this!
With great responsibility, comes great beats
YES! Finally! Thanks a lot for upload! a MUST play for any Genesis fan.
Thanks a ton for this! It's really appreciated to have a good quality hardware recording of MUSHA. So happy that you've done this one
Wow... This really takes me back... I remember getting this game on my 10th birthday and playing it til 2000. Bad Ass man!!!!!

wow nice! the other recordings on youtube where kinda shitty.
this ost could cook a food dish that requires a fair amount of temperature.
Oh brilliant.
How it's possible to dislike this soundtrack ???
It probably has something to do with the drums !
@@infinitemillennium3821 I love the drums
@@infinitemillennium3821 I know - with such a simple drum kit, there's really nothing else redeeming about these tracks. /s

the first level theme from Gleylancer is pretty damn good as well
Bro knows his stuff.
I like the first level music in trouble shooter vintage (second level is better tho). They just dont make video games like they used to.
This game and thunder force 4 music is 🔥
Check out Runner AD 2025 from Alien Soldier. Its frenzied pace really sets the tone for that boss rush masquerading as a game.
So exciting, it's my favourate shooting game. Thank you
This is actually a Yngwie Malsmteen album in disguise :D

There are one or two people on RUclips who have done covers of MUSHA pieces with real instruments, they aren't bad at all.

Best VG music ever.
i honestly think this sor2 and phantasy star 4 are peak genesis music
VERY NICE.
Parts of the first track, "Theme of Musha Aleste" reminds me somewhat of the original Doom soundtrack e1m3 "Dark Halls".
Mega Drive tinha os melhores de nave!
