- The 1973 Jaguar XJ Coupé is quintessentially English, blending elegance and sportiness into one. It targeted the individualist who could dispense with four doors in favor of two, but not with the luxury of the sedan. In the mid-1970s, an XJ 12 Coupé cost the equivalent of about 25-thousand euros, making it Jaguar's most expensive model.

This is a series 2 car, the coupes were produced from 1975 to 1978, this car has to be a 75' or later... There was only
one series 1 coupe, the original prototype at the 1973 London Motor Show and was not near ready for production and
was delayed two years until they hit the showroom in 75' as series 2's... Thanks, Moses...
moses knows .....and that prototype car is here in Australia. I have photos of it I took a few years ago at a British car show.
Twin fuel fillers to feed two separate 11 gallon tanks with a switch to change over from one to the other. At 140 mph I remember that one could see the needle on the fuel gauge moving as the V12 drank a gallon every 6 or 7 miles!
These cars are so scarce, 1855 made and only 686 came to the U.S. !!!!! 6-C's are available, but 12-C's are not. !!!!!
splendida !!
They only built 1800 of them. Thus very rare and very expensive if you find one. !!!!!
How much would it cost now
You can find the cheaper ones for 8/10k €, but one in a very good condition goes for some 30, 40k €

He didn't mention the fuel consumption :-)
Charles Smyth If you have to ask, you can't afford it (and that means me!)
Me too :-)
When a friend was asked what his V12 did to the gallon he used to reply "snarl at it".
fuel consumption?
Imagine a normal V8. Now double it.
If you need to ask, you really cannot afford it.
Roughly the output of one medium oilfield over a year per mile or so.
Really an irrelevant question, it's not as though it's made now though the GOP would probably endorse it, so enough said.
not a thing to be said. depends on the fuel station prices.
Don't drive a classic jag in a bloody flannel shirt. It's just not done, my teutonic friend. Tweed jacket and a cravat essential

"Jagwah", I just don't know. The world is going to hell, ironically with the people who speak this way in the vanguard.
