What's new. It's the same way in the pros. But, if you're a real fan of the game, you know who the elite players are. Morrow was ranked 18th at her position coming out of high school. This is how she ended up at Depaul. Being a mid major, they're not televised. But if you follow WBB, she was in the mention for POY and DPOY since her freshman yr. It was her and Boston. She was a beast at DePaul. But, the SEC is a whole other story. I think she will be good but it will be different for her playing this level of competition almost every game.

Not sure if Smith will start next season. She was a FR last year and was timid at times, didn't have much confidence, lost some rebounds to stronger players. She wasn't in good position at times. She didn't crash the boards. Hopefully, Mulkey and the Post coach will help her improve her inside game and rebounding. She will have all summer and fall to step up her game.
Great video! I finally saw her highlights and I see how you say Zion but I see them 6’8 PFs from a decade ago like JSmoove and Z-Bo. Like Z-Bo was def a big but he was always a mismatch on them 7 footers cause he had a bag ( face up, quickstep, post, drive, pump fake and aggressive) and they wasn’t used to guarding all that. JSmoove was a big never really a wing especially later on but had the athleticism and perimeter skills that bigs just didn’t have.

But you are right, CC need to stop thinking small and start thinking about NILs and make that jump to better herself and take her Steph Curry lady version to Baton Rouge and get her some. Mulkey can handle athletes with superegos because she has one herself. They will all be fighting for a spot and even the 2nd and 3rd teamers at LSU could probably start just about anywhere else, but they ALL want that ring.
You can’t transfer mid season and play. You have to sit out the season once you commit if you want to transfer. But, you don’t think the transfers know this? As a freshman coming in, they don’t expect to start. Your thinking of as a whole, when it’s position specific. Everyone scored for LSU last season. Morrow is coming from DePaul where it was her and no one, she wants to win, not be a ball hog. LSU won’t have one top scorer, bc they won’t win like that. 4 starters in double figures is what LSU had and will have. Be smart not stubborn.
Yea the freshman will definitely have a hard time with minutes unless someone get injured .. last season had some flaws forsure but i believe this new team will jelly cause they all have similar personalities in if anybody knows sports chemistry is the main key
The problem with Iowa. It's the coach that's putting her teams in CC hands. They can't get anyone to play there because of the kinda game they play. One player shoots 40 times.
Towards the end of the season she started to trust her team more but yeah for other top players that could be an issue an athletic long big probably would work best with her I like Hannah but they need more

Coach Staley will have to land some big names through the portal if she wants to keep up with Mulkey and LSU. Unfortunately, the superteam concept has crept into the college ranks, and It simply takes most freshmen too long to develope into a team's #1 player. Ucon almost ruined women's college basketball because they would get all the top players every year. They won the Natty 6 out of 8 years and 4 consecutively during a 111 game win streak. During the streak 108 games were won by 10 points or more. The formation of super teams is the reason I stopped following the NBA for the most part. I like to see talent evenly distributed for competitiveness. Let coaching decide it.
I like super teams but not one monopoly on the market . I think SC is still live with what they had & Fulwiley coming with Pao Pao and Sakima with Cardoso 66 67 will be tough for all especially with Sakimas ability to shoot but I agree one team alone isn’t good for the sport legit threats are needed
