when you start a mission with a 3 stars wanted level
Hello max dearest of all my friends
@@jchhalo1232 i got that reference 🤣
Oh yeah a 3 star wanted level but the police are glitching out so they are not showing up anywhere nearby lol.
@@jchhalo1232A man of culture 🥂
Or 6 stars 🤩
I love that little moment with the doctor. You can see that Henry both really needs and wants to rest. And you can see him actually appreciating the doctor being decent and worried about him. Such amazing acting by Liotta to get this across. And the doctor is brilliantly acted too.
Fun fact. They act together again in Cocaine Bear. Liotta’s last film.
Liotta is brilliant and gotta love the actor from the wire..... sheeeiittttt.....😅✌️💯⭐️
That's Clay Davis, SHHEEEEEEEEEEEEITTTT
And gave him the last thing he needs. More drugs.
It was the same actor who played Clay Davis in the Wire
Henry: "Doc, I'm fine..."
Doctor: “Sheeeeeeeetttttttttt!”
Only found out through your post that he is in this movie as well😂
Good catch
Henry was told about the money faucet and the goose with the golden egg
@@cdeschrevel5341who’s the actor that plays the doctor?
what movie was that from ?
Moral of the story: Keep stirring the gravy and never let it stick.
Nobody tells you this is basically parenthood without the cocaine, guns, helicopters and with way more soccer games.
I dealt pharmaceutical cocaine by the ounce in the late 70s and early 80s, and the chaos in these scenes is right on. Never mixed parenting with the yeyo, though.
Youre the fool making your kid sign up for soccer, so why the f you complaining. Soccer parents are idiots
I have been telling people this for YEARS.
And waaaaaaaaay less money and women
Lmao awesome comment
Thelma Schoonmaker is quite possibly the best film editor to ever exist.
Dude when she used the same shot but with a close up to show how paranoid he is because of the coke when he's doing the meatballs...I laugh everytime
@@jesusrueda4853 I like it even though it's a recycled shot I think it's done very well and adds to the volume of his stress & paranoia. Gives the sense that he's been standing there glancing at the door over and over as if something changed in the last 5 seconds
My favorite part of my favorite movie@@jesusrueda4853
@@jesusrueda4853It’s not a recycled shot 😂 Watch them both again. C A R E F U L L Y ! In the first shot Liotta looks up and his head stays still. In the second shot, he looks up and then moves his head ever so slightly to the left to get a better view of the door. It’s subtle, but it’s there.
"Whoa, buddy. Let me get you a valium before you get back behind the wheel. Can't be too careful!"
Anyone who’s ever been on a coke binge knows this clip depicts the experience perfectly.
A masterclass in audiovisual editing and soundtrack selection, right here! They don't call Scorcese a master filmmaker for no reason!!
As other people have noted before me, you have to love how evading the helicopter, picking up his brother at the doctor's, making the drug deal, and stirring the pasta sauce all assume more or less the same level of importance in this scene.
"See I Was Cooking Dinner That Night"
At 11:30 AM
He’s plan was to start the dinner early
Italian tomato sauce takes time to cook
Scorsese managed to take a scene about a guy running errands and making dinner and make it into one of the most legendary scenes in film history.
I told the doc I was partying all night. He said "sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit"
The best scene in the entire movie. RIP Ray 🙏
Awesome detail you could see he was followed by two cars possibly cops but his attention was up the sky
This is my favorite scene in the movie whenever I feel I have a lot to do.
Strangely this is my favorite part of the movie
Clearly high on coke/tweaking...
Doctor: Heres 10mg of valium.
Sorts you out when you're tweaking too hard
Still the basic Tapers at Detoxs
Yeah that's an appropriate use of Valium. Henry's heart rate was probably through the roof.
@@ibrahimali2617 For alcohol. You don't need to taper off of coke. Alcohol WDs are potentially fatal. Librium is also used in place of Valium.
No shiiiiiet he's the goose that lays them golden eggs
This movie is a classic!! Never gets old!!
Don’t forget to stir the sauce😂
I absolutely ADORE the soundtrack during the whole helicopter scene, especially Harry Nilsson's Jump Into The Fire and Stones' Monkey Man... Sublime!!
This scene feels like an anxiety stomach ache
preceded by the shitz
CLAY DAVIS is the DOCTOR sheiiiiiiiiit
"Stop with those fu**ing drugs, they're making your mind into mush!!!" 😂😂😂
Every time I make just a regular pasta dinner this scene and song play in my head.
Once I was at tabletop gaming store and Jump Into the Fire came on. I said, I feel like helicopters are chasing me. The owner said, someone gets it!
One of most brilliant passages of filmmaking ever made.
One of the best scenes ever made
doctor was like shieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet you dont look so good
Clay Davis is going to bill you 5 grand for that Valium.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeit
Never picked up that Karen was drinking before noon...
Mainline that wine 😆
The good old days 😂
The good ole days when you could get some easy benzos
Like it's that hard
@@Thunderchild-gz4gc a lot harder now.. there's more security cameras
Fuck benzos. Back then, you could still get 'ludes and possibly certain barbiturates.
Now you have to practically sell your liver for one , they used to give me bottles in the 80s , now I'm offered 3 if I'm lucky , usually it's a flat out no , mind you benzos are short term heaven long-term hell
1:17 to this day I still quote this any chance I get
Beautiful Cadillac
My Favorite movie of all time. Grew up on this. Know all about the real life mob over there in new York and Chicago. I had a grandpa who Knew people.
Holy crap his doctor is Clay Davis
shieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
@@canyoncarbon 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
ShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhIT 😂
Everytime I do coke I see helicopters to.
4:47 Everything Everything gonna be alright this morrrrnin 😂
The best scene in cinema!
You ain’t even lying!
happy May11th. god love this sequence! those song transitions play so well.
never ever gets old
Who's been carving their initials in the tomato😂
I never noticed that line before today.
It's actually quite cool that Paul Herman (the other guy in the scene) has been in some major mob movies. Even though he may nog had a lot of screen time. He played in Goodfellas. Beansie in The Sopranos and another guy who's name I forgot in The Irishman! I probably forget a couple movies but still!
When I'm really busy and I have a lot of things to do, this scene always comes to my mind
I find it so funny how with everything going on they still managed to be cooking dinner all at the same time 😇
Two things.
That dinner sounds awesome.
Scorsese is a god.
2:37: Choppa appears to be flying backwards not too high up.
2:49: Choppa zooms out to be flying as high as Uranus haha.
How you dont check if the silencers fit 😂😂😂
He was a paranoid cokehead. Not exactly focused
At "6:55 am take the peruvian vitamin C." Do the work. Don't look back. Don't mind the balloons.
Seen this a million times, just realized none of the pistols are threaded to even take a suppressor
Clarksons farm parodying this was nice to see.
1 of the best scenes ever plus incredible song! Love the overlaying music at the end!
I feel like this is what every payday Friday is for us.
There's always an airplane 😂😂😂
I always loved hearing that Cadillac wide open at 3:00
2:43 love it LMAO
Henry wasn't lying when he said he was partying all night, he probably hadn't slept in days.
So Clay Davis was a doctor before becoming the biggest political shakedown artist in all of greater Baltimore
Sheeeeiiit
Why don’t I remember this mission in Vice City?
How can he do a full day of errands and then eat? That stuff used to get me anxious and paranoid. My motor functions and breathing sucked and I’d just stay indoors alone doing more
RIP Ray liotta
Uncle Eddie !
🚁 Gotta go meet my Pittsburgh connections
If you haven't ever felt like Henry, well, your stories probably aren't to entertaining.
Shii broke my heart he got onnet dope den ratted 🤦🏾♂️
Great scene!!
We're those veal or chicken cutlets, I can't really tell?
Modern dealers with the invention of drones
Who's been carving their initials in the tomatoes 😂
Its over the Moment you start gettin high of your own supply
Great third act!!
This would be a bad ass video game with a few tweaks to the story. More exaggeration on the killings and some cool heists
Could somebody PLEASE tell me what song is being played at 1:22???
Memo from turner - The Rolling Stones
@@__Lorenzo THANK YOU. I shit you not I've been wondering who that was since 1990....
Memo From Turner by Mick Jagger.
Ray 😭😭😭
Im planning a trip to texas in September; I want to live out this scene
I just wished airports rent out Cadillac’s
🤔
The wrong time to be getting your blood pressure.
Lol dude is so paranoid ….. stims will do that 😂😂😂 idk about helicopters lmaooooo but other shit ? Oh yeah lol lol
If you don't understand the helicopters paranoia you've never gotten true stimulant paranoia Lmaooo
This is some funny shit.
Clay Davis man shiiiieeeeeet
Unbelievable that I AM the main character SHOOK 😢 4-12-2024 Boonie WILL reveal
Is the doctor from rocky apollo?? Looks kinda maybe wrong
Nope
Sa mattah wit u
Episode #2005 Joe Rogan w/ Tom Segura ... Joe mentioned this scene, talking about Hunter Biden. 😆
Kevin Corrigan only does good movies
Your not bright
🚁
Ate or five 2file
This is where the movie loses me. Weird music choices, henrys look is too exaggerated, the cooking is unrealistic in relation to what he was supposedly up to that day and how he was feeling…its just too heavy handed. All due respect to Scorcese. Casino was where he fixed the mistakes made in Goodfellas.
Nah man your the first person I ever heard with a wrong opinion bc everything you ragged ab is completely intentional and the last 35 minutes is why this is his best work or a close 2nd
@@Purple-iz1bd intentional doesnt mean good. These are missteps.
And the film has more problems. Continuity errors (paulies cigar comes to mind), and the movie just looks bad. Whoever the director of photography was did a rotten job. And the final shot of tommy shooting…clumsy and lame. Soundtrack is not very good either. Really poor choices. Ffs, even Deniro as Burke doesnt quite work-for someone who is supposed to be Irish, he sure looked and sounded Italian. This is not Scorceses best movie; doesnt even belong in the conversation.
But Of course, im not an eastern seaboard douche who finds currency in hailing goodfellas as a masterpiece. Im not burdened by that weird flock mentality. A good movie? You bet. But zeitgeist only goes so far and one has to look at a film as a whole, objectively. No honest person can say, objectively, that this movie doesnt have problems keeping it from being his best.
ding dong, your opinion is wrong
@@bmaster5324 words have definitions. Thats how language works. Opinion has a definition; one that clearly demonstrates one cant be wrong. Thank you for demonstrating clearly that you are the definition of lame af dipshit.
Now vamoose…
You obviously never ate dinner at an Italian's house on Sunday. It's an all day affair under many conditions.
I never noticed that those are cops driving behind him when he is first going down the road. Both cars are the same
Is that Senator Clay Davis as the doctor?
how is he not on coke for some of these scenes lol his eyes are spot on.. that crazy kinda look lol bet he pulled a 24 hour day with a lot of caffeine to get that look lol
Or just snorted some blow lol
The face of Ray Liotta is the type of face that my Jimmy Kitten 🐱 was always trying to sit on. 😎 and did a few times
