- Hi everyone,
This is my collage for week 25 of the challenge being hosted by Margarete Miller this year ( see below for details, if the #2024CW challenge is new to you and/or if you’re interested in taking part).
The prompts set for this assignment were as follows:
1. ‘A piece of map with ocean’ ~ I chose an ephemera piece showing the
Pacific Ocean
2. ‘A herb or other fragrant plant’ ~I fussy cut an image of a peony sprig
and bloom. I adore the scent of peonies in the garden.
3. ‘ Something mechanical’ ~ I chose the image of a mechanical fish to
tie in with the map/ocean theme
4. ‘ A piece of wash tape you rarely use’ ~ All my well used and muted
loved wash tapes are to one side in my craft room. Those I hardly
ever use are stored in a plastic storage box. It was good to have a
rummage in there to find the roll I used for my assignment.... and
actually it’s quite a nice one, so I can see me using it more often!
5. ‘A sticker or rub-on’ ~ I bought some new rub-ons recently so one of
those came in handy for creating a quick background for my collage.
Bonus ‘Anything from the grocer store’ ~ I found an old Tesco till receipt and used that

Love the gorgeous color combo.
My fish was my focal element or at least, the one I decided to use first, so everything worked from there in terms of choosing colours and other prompt pieces I wanted to use. Another beautiful collage Carol, simple but stunning. I have to try to get some of those rub-on backgrounds, that is gorgeous!
When I spotted those rub-ons I did dither a bit about buying them as they're not the cheapest but then couldn't resist.....lol. Sooo glad I did because all of them are stunning and I love them. Love it , the colours are so well coordinated, you might have put it together quickly, however the time is in the gathering and fussy cutting, isn't it

Really like this one, the fish is so iridescent you must have so many images, where do you find them. Where did you get your rub and book please?

I just happen to spot them in magazines, the internet or in books I have. I'm always looking for them and if I spot something that I think might work in one of MM's future assignments as a prompt piece, I pop it to one side until I can use it. The Rub-ons were from All&Create. I got my packet ( there are two designs per packet) from the All&Create website. Just Google them and it'll come up. They're a fairly new product by All&Create, think they only came out at the start of this year BUT they are gorgeous. TFW and BIG hugs C xx

Fabienne, j'ai joué un peu et je crois que j'ai réussi. Ma prochaine vidéo #2024CW est déjà prévue pour lundi prochain mais YT m'a permis de la monter pour inclure des sous-titres français. J'essaierai de me rappeler de le faire chaque semaine pour vous à l'avenir. Cxx
