Jon's card says "any other player". Not any non-exiled player. The rest of the game has been very specific to call out non-exile or not so... sorry Jon, that's a loss.
I love how they just explain away all the complex tasks by justifying it with “Sparky’s a stunt dog”. They probably drove a car, looked for hidden objects, shot guns, and did takedowns on stuntmen for their Hollywood career.
I nearly did a spit take when Sully said all the important people won, trying to throw shade on Adam, but poor, unstable, paranoid Jon got caught in the crosshairs because he sure as hell didn't win.
How, did they manage to turn this, semi-cooperative game that rewards selfish/antagonistic behavior into a less hostile board game than Mysterium, a game that is purely cooperative?
@@bigpapa1965 Probably referring to the time they played Mysterium on this channel and all they did was shout how dumb they all are, Mediums as well as the Ghost.
At least in my opinion, poor vs good deisgn is why. Mysterium is good in concept, and sounds fun until youre actually playing, its an advanced game of charades. You have to draw random images, and fingers crossed they make ANY level of sense for what you need to give to medium players, because even cards that DO have sense can be frustrating for the mediums, ones with no clues whatsoever are even worse. Topped with the fact the ghost is not supposed to talk. Meanwhile, Dead of Winter is designed where theres a chance of no traitor, and everyone is just paranoid. You could shoot yourself in the foot in this game, somply out of said paranoia, or mismanaging resources, but otherwise in a game with no traitor, fairly easy win, besides, yknow, all the zombies and problems happening in the camp. Even with a traitor, the traitor is going to want to generally *appear* helpful. Its easy to build around that, build a game around being able to help and be helpful even when you ultimately have goals against other players, its much harder to make a game like Mysterium *actually* work as a cooperative.
This is the best board game show since Tabletop with Will Wheaton ended. The camera isn't too far away from the table you can't see the game progress, and its a nice bonus that you have close up pop ups of the cards. Really appreciate it.

I still think the best way for a trailer to be a traitor is to constantly make noise and search for more cards. Then contribute to the crisis to “help”. Act like you aren’t getting the right cards. Always add more survivors to make food hard. Use cards to make the waste pile fill up. Etc
Quick tip, when you guys buy a outsiders card you don’t have to play it, it’s a card like the others, just let it stay on your hand xD no need to make noise to change it every time. :)
Adam should have used some food cards to increase his die rolls in the last round, to let him do more actions. Players are normally allowed to spend food tokens to do this, but Exiles have to spend the food cards from their hands.
@@KristoVaher Yeah it was a pretty sub optimal traitor turn, shoulda ate the food. Also probable needed to be less willing to contribute to the crisis's to increae presssure on other players. One of my favorite parts of DoW is that in base traitor rules, there -might- be a traitor but it's never guaranteed so you're never quite sure if you're looking for a bad guy or not.
Best play to do as traitor in that situation. Move a person to each outside location. Search and make 4 noise. Head to the colony and eat all the food to increased a die value by 1. As much as I love the game, it is tonally inconsistent and doesn't go really all that far into the obvious things people would do in such a situation. Which, depending on your sensibilities is a good or bad thing.
Certainly, especially when you consider getting rid of the mother and keeping the baby makes little to no sense as is the worst of both worlds. It's not like 1 additional mouth to feed causes that much harm. It should be getting rid of both mother and father with the baby and loose 2 morale as a clearer difference between options ( the zombie numbers could be different too). x:x

Seen this game in the background and I’ve been looking forward to seeing it.
Sully is so chaotic... And I love it!
Oh great thanks. Now I want that game too.
So... Sparky went driving, and it ran over the Sheriff? What a mental picture of a dog drivin. Woof woof
Rosie's comment caused emotional damage! 🤣
I think significantly less of anyone who doesn't like sparky, you are not invited to our board game night
Been waiting all week for this!
I adore this game, so happy to see you all playing it!
