Wow! Thank you for making this available to us via fare drop travel blog. And I finally have a picture of Mike. To put a face with a name. I look forward to reading your book in it's entirety in hopes of unlocking future travel adventures. ❤️
As a flight attendant the best time to hand us a treat (definitely not expected but very appreciated) is as you board or close to the end of boarding. Thank you for telling everyone to be nice to us! ❤✈️
I love to bring something nice for the flight crew as well ... Something from where I live is a good thing (I live in Oregon, so hazelnuts, Marionberries, - candy etc. are good options) and I don't do it for special treatment but just to let them know I appreciate them.
Oddly loved this simple airport focussed travel vlog. Seeing you guys sitting on the floor, napping awkardly and yawning is so relatable for travel days. Just nice to see you guys doing all the normal things too!
Holy crap I was on your flight from Nashville to Chicago! I thought I recognized you Kara but I didn’t want to “Fan Girl” out but holy crap you made my day!
Omg, I would totally have "fan girled" at them like crazy, lol! And they're always so polite and energetic when people say hello. I just love these two ❤
Hi Kara and Nate! I know you may not see this but ever since I found your channel I've been so invested. I am 12 years old and I can't wait to travel all around the world. You two have inspired me in every sense. Your and Kara's personalities to me are the funniest things, the way that Kara will get so excited about something and say this is the best ____ of her entire life and so excited for even the smallest things, or Nate with his continuous smile and his adventurous spirit. You two have made a difference in my life, made me laugh (so hard), made me quote sentences you two (and Eamon and Bec) have said to each other or the camera, and made me be in suspense for what is happening the next couple minutes of one of your videos, and made me be able to know that I could do this one day too! You make all of your viewers feel like they are with you on the journey! Thanks for making amazing videos, keep doing amazing things, take care amazing people!
You are very well written! Definitely have what it takes to travel in a few years, and maybe even write about it to pay for your adventures💜excited for you little love!
This vlog really shows you playing to each other’s strengths. I guess I can’t really put my finger on one thing, but it makes me root for team Kara and Nate!
Good to see Kara animated again, talking and playing! The silent 24 hours was a great idea and you executed it really well -- but it's wonderful to see you talking with each other again.
In Europe, when your flight gets cancelled / delayed by a minimum of 2 hours, you also get compensation usually between £200-400 per person depending on the distance and delay duration!
That is if they don't violently protest! I thought travelers in the US/Canada were pretty bad but after watching the Australian and British versions of the show "Airline" I was SHOCKED. The Australians are 1,000x worse! In one episode of their show, the police showed up and had to drag a guy away from the ticket counter after he started screaming at a gate agent because of a dispute over ticket policies. It was a very low cost carrier that unfortunately went bankrupt after the show went on the air. I think it was Tiger Airlines.
The feeling when they announce that boarding is complete and you know that the empty seat beside you is confirmed is the greatest feeling in the world!
My SUPPOSEDLY best flight ever was a very mixed bag. Somehow, the airline got everyone's flight numbers mixed up. The pilot said over the intercom "this is flight XXX. We are going to San Francisco. We are NOT going to Portland, Oregon!" Immediately, people began muttering incoherently and fumbling for their luggage. I swear almost everyone got off the plane. Then the pilot actually opened the cockpit door and shouted across the cabin: "Does anyone here need to go to San Francisco?" I and the remaining 12(!!) passengers shouted "YES!" as firmly as we could. "Okay!" He shut the door but that's where the problems started. First heavy traffic forced us to wait at the gate. Then another plane needed our parking spot so we were forced to move probably because the pilot admitted all the remaining passengers were determined to get to SFO. The plane parked on a very isolated spot by the runway with another one nearby. We were stuck there for another 30 minutes before they finally took off. It was the worst flight of my life. The airliner was an Airbus that was so small that the model number was LOWER than 320! When the number is below 320, that's a TINY plane! It pitched and was tossed around like a roller coaster! I spent the whole hour with my belt strapped on as tight as I could bear and kept my fingers wrapped around the arm rests. When we landed, my aunt and uncle were shocked that the plane flew through such bad weather. They were absolutely certain I'd be delayed and forced to fly out the next morning! So in the end, despite having almost 20 people in a nearly empty cabin, the flight was an hour of sheer terror. I'll remember to think twice before taking that route again, LOL.
My work lately has been so unbelievably stressful, so i always put Kara and Nate on in the background and they instantly de-stress me. Thank you for all your positivity always
Yes. Hardest lesson I ever had to learn was that I’m notorious of carrying credit card debt and it very much ruined the joy/perks of these travel cards. Seriously, only do this if you can afford it. Love you both!
Way to publish the book! I think learning to pivot on what a goal is/should be is a huge life lesson more people need to embrace and that’s what you did. Congratulations. Also, love the “old school” feeling!
Back in 2017 I started watching you guys. You guys were part of the reason why I fell in love with travelling. I’m from Europe so I usually take at least one or two trips per year. This year I’ve been to 5 countries so far.
Two funniest quotes this video... Nate = "and then I watch whatever movie she tells me to watch." Kara = "I think this is a dream. It's a wall of pretzels." I love your channel! Thanks for sharing travel hacks.
I always have a big bag of individuality wrapped chocolates (Ghirardelli or Lindor) for the flight crew with a note thanking them for all they do (I print stickers with the note and put it on the bag). I give it to them when they are coming to check seats before takeoff. You would be surprised at the love from the crew and what ‘perks’ come your way from such a simple kindness to others.
The happiness that I feel when I see your latest upload is really unfathomable. Your previous upload of pin drop asmr was spectacular challenge which two loquacious individuals could take. Really impressive.
I love to see I’m not the only travel geek that keeps checking to see if that middle seat is going to be empty. Best feeling ever, when it is and the doors are shut!
Appreciate that even as world travelers you admit to having never faced something before and that it was exhausting. Thanks for taking the leap 7 years ago to leave it all behind and start this channel
You’ve already inspired me so much. This summer my son’s and I travelled from the Uk and drove 5,900 miles through 15 states exploring the US. It was sensational. Thank you for the inspiration and I look forward to travelling more.
I bet every flight attendant on the world loves you guys - what a lovely idea to give them a little gift. I'm flying from Sydney back to the UK later this week - going to give this a go and try to get a smile!
Who cares even if it long or short. For me it is from really remarkable individuals who are larger than life for me. You guys are really my role model. Both of you have an incredible personality.
when I’m older my dream is to live in a van and travel, and this is because of these two! im constantly talking to my parents about every video and how amazing they are! i really really love watching every single video so thank you Kara and Nate!!
The way that I just absolutely gobble this videos up within 12 milliseconds of them getting posted is getting just *slightly* concerning. Hope you guys are having fun with Eamon & Bec and everyone! PS - Just signed up for the Daily Drop & reading Nate's post now🤪! Someone's gotta make sure this college senior can travel post grad!! Thanks guys!
Among the many reasons you two are my favorite travel loggers is that you never appear rattled or annoyed when strangers approach or photo bomb you. You always seem gracious, kind, and in good humor. One gets the sense that you genuinely like people and appreciate your fans. God bless you and keep you in His care.
I am so glad you've talked about giving gifts to the FAs, in previous videos and in this one. I've felt EXACTLY THE SAME, nervous about when and how!! Last month before my flights back home from Brussels, I bought some great local artisan chocolate in town, then on each flight I gave one to the FA that came to my seat. You are right, they were so thankful at the thought, and one FA was familiar with the brand and seemed extra appreciative. Thank you Kara!!
As a long time viewer and a Chicago native the very brief "DAAA Bears" reference made me incredibly happy. Also, most travel books tend to be pretty short. I think you should still publish your miles and points book, even though you put that info up on the daily drop. Getting as far as you have gotten in the writing process, along with acquiring the expertise you have so far is an amazing accomplishment. You owe it to yourself to publish the book.
Thankk you for recommending "keep to the right" on airport escalators. Had to run for a flight in Frankfurt & someone got an abrupt lesson in escalator etiquette :)
Love this video. Thank you! Thank you! Nate🥰 My wife and I absolutely love to travel and we appreciate all of your videos. Please travel safe and much love from Pennsylvania!!
Hi Nate, consider using Designrr to easily turn your blog post into an eBook you can publish or even a flip book. I'm going through that process now and it is perfect for a 50-page self-publish book that you can get out to a new audience via Amazon etc.
Thank you so much for this video!!!! Travel is so stressful and when I see seasoned travelers such as yourselves dealing with "common" inconveniences it helps me deal with them!! LOVE all of your videos....trying to get my wife into watching them so we can travel more!!!!
I love that Kara made the announcement about the escalator etiquette. I guess that rule applies to the most countries except for Japan. It’s the opposite side. Everyone stands on the left and leave the right side for people in a hurry. After took a trip in Japan, we went to Korea and I kept standing on the left side which pissed off every one. Forgot to switch 😂
Would’ve happened to me too. In my country we drive on the left so whenever I’m traveling and on that thing I naturally stand on the left 😬 never considered it actually
The absolute joy that is booking a window or aisle seat in economy class and not having someone sitting in the middle seat is like.... An unparalleled human happiness. My GF and I have done the same 'looking down the aisle waiting for the plane doors to close and realize the middle seat is empty' moment so many times.
I've been watching back through some of the adventures you guys have had and it's so fun to see how much you've experienced and grown over the years. It's incredibly generous to share what you have learned with a new generation of travelers. Sending you both much love and wishes for happiness along life's journey 😊
A lot of my travel has been either work related or I was flying solo. When seeing that door closed and having the middle seat open....It's a great feeling! Many high fives with cool people I'd never met before because we weren't squished into the seats!! And if you haven't signed up for the Daily Drop/FareDrop....what are you waiting for? It's the real deal!! Even if Nate is only a sideline blogger and not a fully published author (Yet).
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
I’m not usually an oversharer - but I just discovered my fiancé has been cheating on me for a year. We were supposed to wed in December. I’m watching comfort videos (love you, Kara and Nate!) and this comment was exactly what I needed. I’m sure there’s many other people who need it much more than me, but it was wonderful to come across. Thank you so much. ❤
Your credit card reviews was one of the first things that drew me to y’all’s channel. I’m also an advanced travel hacker but I’ve also know there is so much to learn from other. Thanks Nate!
As an ex flight attendant- your chocolates will ALWAYS be appreciated more than you know!! 😅 Best time to give it is around boarding/takeoff and try to get the person closest to you so we know where you are sitting 😉
Every time I am reminded that Kara was a preschool teacher before becoming a travel vlogger, I'm just like "Yes. That is correct. Definitely a perfect place for her." ❤️
I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for this video. It’s so transparent and genuine. I love that you both are so passionate about not only traveling, but also inspiring OTHERS to also travel. It has been my LIFE LONG DREAM to be able to travel the world and this just gave me the confidence to truly believe that it is possible! Love you guys!🤍🤍
THANKS AGAIN. WASN'T SURE IF WE WOULD WATCH THIS VIDEO BUT GLAD WE DID. OVER LAST FEW YEARS IT'S BEEN GREAT TO SPEND TIME WITH HONEST, GENUINE PEOPLE LIKE YOU. TAKE CARE IN NEXT FEW DAYS AND MANY THANKS AGAIN FOR THE JOY YOU HAVE GIVEN US. GOD BLESS. BERNARD AND CAROL FROM IRELAND.
I just subscribed to your RUclips channel! I love your zest for adventure and your love of life! I'm 65 and a widow of 3 years. I've booked a river cruise in Europe! This trip is WAY beyond my comfort zone and after watching your videos, I'm more excited for my trip!
I've definitely been inspired to travel more because of your channel, like you mentioned, not to the extent that you do but around the US. There's still a lot of places I want to see and visit within the country, then eventually Canada and Mexico. My husband, son, and I travel at least two times per year for two weeks at a time, my husbands vacation per year. The first week we'll visit a place we've been to and the second week we'll fly to a city we've never been to. I love exploring cities I've never been to but my husband likes places we've been to. It's a compromise lol. I want to plan a trip to New England/ Canada in the late spring of next year. My ultimate goal is to have my freelance business supporting us to gain the freedom to travel a little more or take time in another state to study and improve my skills. Thank you for the inspiration.
Kara and Nate your videos are always so awesome and helpful. You really take the time to care about your fans of your journeys. Thanks for reading my comments.
Great vlog as always my friends! The only reason that Nate had to call and speak to a person to rebook a flight is because MUC-PMI was on a separate PNR, Passenger, Name, Record, or booking. If this had been an all in one booking you would just walked to service desk and got new tickets printed. Keep up the good work. Be safe!
This video showes up in my feed with a new name every time and I think its a new video every time.Honestly, I though you where better than those youtubers that change the title of the video for more clicks. Its just annoying.
I read your blog post the other day! It is so well written and easy to understand. You did a phenomenal job on it Nate! You guys are amazing! Keep being you and doing what you love!
I wish I was 30 or 40 years younger right now! I would be reading Nate's book and planning my next trip. Time passes on and I no longer have the stamina to be able to travel like you two. Oh well, I'll read Nate's book anyway and dream! Have fun and be safe!!! xoxoxo
I’m right there with you. Coincidently I was discussing this today with two of my sisters as we were celebrating two of our October birthdays (my 74th).
@@lindafrance9192 I have 3 1/2 years on you. I turned 77 in early May. My head has not yet accepted I'm old, but when I try to do something I shouldn't, my body reminds me quickly that I shouldn't be doing that anymore. Have a very Happy Birthday!
@@suzisharp132 thank you. I just celebrated at a restaurant yesterday with two of my sisters and we had a very fun time with a lot of laughing involved.
Weird. I thought this video was called something else? 😅 Anyways, I really wanted to say that I am very excited to read Nate's book and am inspired to learn or hopefully travel in the future. I feel lost when it comes to travelling, but I'm really grateful that you guys are giving me the opportunity to read this book to get started. Thank you Kate & Nate. P.S. the ASMR camping video was very relaxing and beautiful. ❤️
These travel hacks are awesome and I'm so excited to see the book-turned-blog post! I think it can be too easy to think international travel is too far out of reach because it will be too expensive/complicated/require excessive planning. Thank you so much for sharing the ways you have accomplished this all on a budget. It's inspiring and exciting to know how possible this all is!
I love, love, love that you buy a gift for your flight attendants. ❤ And thank you to those that asked how you go about doing it (and to you for explaining it). I want to do it too!
I have travel anxiety, especially with flying anywhere more than an hour, and watching you guys have always given me comfort and lowered my stress 😂 wishing one of these days I run into you guys at an airport 😭❤️
I grew up traveling between my hometown in Wales and Atlanta Georgia and I still have really bad travel anxiety. Mine is control issues, ever since I was in a bad car accident. Now no matter how I travel, I get very panicked. It can be by car, plane, train or even boat. So I feel your pain
Consider your goal a success! Your early travel videos filled with so much travel hacking help and the Sunday(ish) emails have gotten me to travel more than I could’ve ever hoped for. I feel very grateful to have learned from Nate some of the best advice I’ve ever received. With was such a refreshing video to get some of that travel hacking info back into the video. Just about to get back from 6 weeks abroad, in which I paid less than $50 for 10 flights total.
when Nate is explaining something about the flight/itinerary (idk), but the crew member behind him popped in & pretended to also be explaining. haha so great!
We had our first flight in several years recently and finally had the chance to try the middle seat hack. Two flights, four of us, so two rows each flight. We were so lucky that only 1/4 of those times had a third person!!! Made our flights so much better!

How fun was this old school travel vlog? 😁✈️❤️

So helpful, thank you!!
As a flight attendant the best time to hand us a treat (definitely not expected but very appreciated) is as you board or close to the end of boarding. Thank you for telling everyone to be nice to us! ❤✈️
Ha ha! I just finished watching one of your videos and come here and you’re watching Kara and Nate too.
@Jetting Julia is heere !! Imagine Kara and Nate ending up on one of your flights vlog

Nate asking for a sip of coffee and Kara saying I asked you if you wanted one is the most relatable long term relationship convo! 😂
It's the reverse of my wife saying she doesn't want fries... and then taking some of mine.
@@UltimatePostman reverse? Sounds like the same! Unless you mean genders reversed
I looked at my partner and went "Noooope"
Learned from being a mom to just buy another...for the person thats "not hungry/thirsty" because that way you get to keep your food 😂
I always get two cups no matter what when the smell hits my husband's nose it comes in handy 😀
Kara and Nate chatting in airport lounges and then rushing for flights - the world almost seems back to normal :)
Flight attendant here. We appreciate the chocolates people bring, we never expect it but it does make our day. ❤️❤️❤️
Can’t wait to read Nate’s blog post/BOOK! Also, yay for the middle seat being empty AND big love for the Survival Video shoutout! Such a fun time 💛🌞
Hi Eamon & Bec! Hope you're doing well. Give Oso a hug for us!

We stand on the left of the escalators here in Australia, too :)
Only in Osaka. Everywhere else we went in Japan it was stand on the right, pass on the left.
Sending you both much love and wishes for happiness along life's journey 😊
my most favorite thing about your airplane travel videos is the background throwback song.. goes hard every time
A lot of my travel has been either work related or I was flying solo.
My DH and I always try to book window/aisle seats with the middle empty. We have never been lucky!
Lying in a warm bed watching Kara&Nate's travel day... perfect! 🍵 Thank you for the travel hacks)
Thank you for sharing, i love you Kara and Nathan, you do it soo well👍
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day!
Same to you^^ Every struggle is temporary and you have the power to shift to something better sooner or later. Hugs! >:D
Your credit card reviews was one of the first things that drew me to y’all’s channel. I’m also an advanced travel hacker but I’ve also know there is so much to learn from other. Thanks Nate!
As a flight attendant, I thank you for what you said about us💙
Aah…this video reminds me of their ‘old’ videos…nice to see a travel day vlog.
As an ex flight attendant- your chocolates will ALWAYS be appreciated more than you know!! 😅
Best time to give it is around boarding/takeoff and try to get the person closest to you so we know where you are sitting 😉
Also, why did this fill us with nostalgia and make us feel all cozy?! 🥰
That’s so sweet! My mom was a United flight attendant for 55 years! When we flew for fun we would bring the crew a little gift as well❤
Love the vegan option on the flight! Great 🎉
Every time I am reminded that Kara was a preschool teacher before becoming a travel vlogger, I'm just like "Yes. That is correct. Definitely a perfect place for her." ❤️
Love a Saturday morning with coffee and Kara and Nate! ❤️
I’m so happy for you guys! Living your dreams with the people you love while doing what you love.❤
You should come back and visit Belize! Visit our mennonite community in Spanish Lookout. 😀
My uncle and aunt used to live in Spanish Lookout!
We need that 2:05 kind of guy every once in a while in life! Spreading no-strings attached 100% pure happiness
I thought I was watching a new video then realised you only changed the title 😭
Omg same. I was like "i saw this before"
Great vlog as always my friends! The only reason that Nate had to call and speak to a person to rebook a flight is because MUC-PMI was on a separate PNR, Passenger, Name, Record, or booking. If this had been an all in one booking you would just walked to service desk and got new tickets printed. Keep up the good work. Be safe!
Love Kara doing the old school theme when boarding the commuter flight to Chicago. It took me back to a simpler time 😂
Ahhh this made me so happy!! I missed y'all's old style of travel vlogs and this hit the spot!
Kara’s love for coffee is simply iconic😂❤
THANK YOU for talking about NOT carrying a balance on those cards!!! Congratulations on your book and another goal completed! Blessings. 💕🙏🏼💕🙏🏼
Cool seeing the moving sidewalk in Chicago airport. Remember that years ago and was pretty cool being on it
I thought so too!
Yeah they changed the title and thumbnail for some reason? It was something about travel hacks.
I think it was because they weren’t getting enough views with the original thumbnail and title.
It was they must have changed the name as it wasn’t as popular as the normal videos
These are the kind of vlogs I’ve missed. I love your travel vlogs. The ones in the airport. I loved this video! Please make more like it ❤
Love ur videos, my husband has to make to make me tea in bed like Nate does for Kara but instead coffee!!
Kara and Nate you 2 are the real thing. Ya'll truly do what you do for the good of all.
first!
I love watching Kara and Nate! Because i can’t travel with school and events happening, since i’m only 14.
I loved the Throw-Back Music as the video started. Thought I would never hear that again at least in a Kara and Nate Vlog- Safe Travels Kids!
My cousin lives in Chicago :-) I've only been in O'Hara it's like a city within a city I love you guys I'm so happy to be a part of your channel
I just threw that airport on Sunday.. I love your Daily Drop emails great tips.. I use them all the time... solo traveler here!!🥰
Yess I will send you a reply supper excited
I love, love, love that you buy a gift for your flight attendants. ❤ And thank you to those that asked how you go about doing it (and to you for explaining it). I want to do it too!
There’s a second United Lounge in B towards the end that is smaller and usually emptier. Much better 😊
I have travel anxiety, especially with flying anywhere more than an hour, and watching you guys have always given me comfort and lowered my stress 😂 wishing one of these days I run into you guys at an airport 😭❤️
*Why* do you have travel anxiety? What are your concerns traveling?
I grew up traveling between my hometown in Wales and Atlanta Georgia and I still have really bad travel anxiety. Mine is control issues, ever since I was in a bad car accident. Now no matter how I travel, I get very panicked. It can be by car, plane, train or even boat. So I feel your pain
Oh Kara and Nate I see you changing the thumbnail and title of your video ;) Man have I been watching too much of you guys!!
Hi guys so happy to be on this RUclips trip with you I probably been watching you for I want to say 2015
I have been to palma de Mallorca two times, and seeing you there makes me so happy! You should visit Cala bona. It’s beautiful
2:49 LOOOOOL "he's vlogging"
when Nate is explaining something about the flight/itinerary (idk), but the crew member behind him popped in & pretended to also be explaining. haha so great!
We had our first flight in several years recently and finally had the chance to try the middle seat hack. Two flights, four of us, so two rows each flight. We were so lucky that only 1/4 of those times had a third person!!! Made our flights so much better!
Yay finallay another travel vlog 🥳missed them sooo much! I love retracing you travels, rather than you just teleporting from A to B
