- In this video, we show Mario how to wash, decontaminate, polish and protect his paint with C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite. Mario wanted to clean and polish the paint on his 2019 Acura. His car needed a good polish as well. Mario also wanted to protect his paint for a long period...we showed him the ease of install and the benefits of C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite!

I'm a little surprised to hear Hydro Lite is only a six-year coating. I thought it was considered semi-permanent. I'm sure we will get more details in the future.
@cgraham6 often times there's a disparity in coating durability claims. It is the difference between total life, meaning how long the coating will remain on the vehicle and effective life or how long the coating maintains its properties. I believe the 6 year claim is the effective life for C6 ceramics. This is actually very good for a light coating. Hope this helps
@tier1detailcompany Yvan gave a little more insight on the video where he installed Hydro on Pan's new Cayenne. Taken proper care of, Hydro Lite should last the life of the vehicle.

Great job as always Yvan! You’re a great teacher. My wife purchased a 2023 BMW x5 hybrid last August. That’s when I got into the detailing rabbit hole. I’ve been the only one to touch the vehicle as far as washing/detailing it. I haven’t used your products specifically but would like to try the HydroLite ceramic coating. It is a daily driver but doesn’t really go through a whole lot of abuse aside from the occasional road trip. It had received a few rock chips on the hood and a small scratch on the drivers side front fender from a parking flag. Would I want to repair those first before using this process? We don’t have a garage but rather a carport. Can I apply this outdoors? I really don’t think it needs and paint correction and I don’t want to mess up her paint clear coat. I think this was the most instructive video to date. Any thoughts, advice, precautions? I also would like to break into the industry as a career change but need some coaching. I’m located in Northwest Arkansas and see it as a potential booming market. Again, appreciate all you and Nick do at DIY Detail.
Thanks, I would do the repair first. If you’re happy with the condition of the paint, then use the C6 Ceramics APP then C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite.

Been waiting for the consumer version of c6 ceramic. Given that the lite version is 6 year durability, this puts it in between the 5 and 8 year DIY ceramic line up. What are some reason to choose this over others? Thanks for the video!

im doing my first c6 coating tomorrow and after watching this video I only have one question, if I need to start with the wool pad I can leave out the yellow pad and go to the finishing pad on a rotary?

Question. The car I plan to coat (Model 3) is not only new but also very recently built, ergo I don’t think the paint is more than a month and I’ve read there could be issues with offgassing until after 90 days, but that some coatings might be permeable and ok to apply before that. Would there be any concerns about prepping and coating with Hydro Lite if the paint and clear coat is only a month old?
No concerns. The paint is baked in the factory.

I like to work in the evening and apply the APP and then wait until the next day to apply the coating. Is it best practice to apply the APP and then wipe it off before stopping work for the evening? OR Is it better to leave the APP on the vehicle overnight and then wipe it off the next day (about ten hours later), right before applying the coating?
It makes no difference.
This and Pans video sold me. Just purchased. Could we use the DIY Detail in rotary polisher to apply the app? That Phendo is unavailable.
Unfortunately a rotary doesn’t work well, if you have an 8mm machine or less it’s best.

The stack will be longer lasting, C6 Ceramics Hydro Lite will provide better gloss and hydrophobics
if i do not have iron remover ( because it is out of stock lol) what can i use instead when using the "clay towel" and for removing iron?

If my non-coated car gets some scratches, I just use the Gold Standard Polish to get them out and it looks great. But if my ceramic coated car gets some scratches, do I just leave them since abrasion will damage the coating? Does the C6 Hydro Lite prevent/reduce the chance of scratches?

We only use DIY Detail Tree Sap Remover if there is tar present.,
