I put in truck roads with a C-5D and a S8 IH pole skidders. As i logged i;d pick the easiest route throw the timber. Putting road and landings in as we logged keeping our skidding distance short and timber on the landing everyday.
good vid! is iron wood elm?every year we have alot of dead elm we cut for firewood. sometimes it is dirter than others and sometimes it does smell like piss
you should walk through your property before bulldozing through it drag dozing through it cut down the little sugar Maples and use them to make something you can put stakes in the ground for five feet in the air and weaves the sugar Maples after you split them in half in between the dowels that you put in the ground. split the maples in half and use them for the wall as you weave in and out of the uprights. you seem to have a lot of sugar Maples young saplings perfect for this application
Wow, that thing is a beast. I never knew how they worked. Thanks for the tutorial!
Nice... Great little skidder
I see you're keeping with the two-stroke theme on your sleds and on your heavy equipment. Your Clark 664C has a two-stroke Detroit diesel.
Love the voice overs!!!
They are a good skidder ,i should know i have had mine for 22 years.
Love the vids tho and I miss the logging I used to do for many years!
I used a 666D that had an EZ grapple added to it. The old Clarks had better winches and brakes than the Timberjack and Franklins at that period.
Nice video must be a lot of fun to go out into the woods and towing some trees
its alot of work!!
Lol
Prolly be even more fun to go visit Mr Bankster with it ........What !!
Farmers up state use the iron wood for fence posts
Good commentary,

I like the helmet!
Nice machine!, I'm guessing 1985 + ish? Hard to tell with the clark box like bodies
If you use that oak for firewood i would recommend not using it in a woodstove, oak burns really hot and will burn out your woodstove
What kind of phone mount is that? Look like it holds pretty snug.
you seem awfully afraid of your skidder. whind that baby up and go. there is a lot of power your no getting out of it.
90hp for the win. Lol
How the hell do you steer that? And how many trees can you put on that?
He answered this question down below. “ lever steering at right hand”.
so where is the steering wheel?
lever steering at right hand

what size Clark is that an u should let ur skidder idle for at least 10-15 mins if not its really bad for the turbo
10-15 minutes???? 3-5 minutes is the thump rule.
Do you ever run into a nest of yella jackets or hornets?
yes lol
No brakes?

Patience and seat time will make an operator out of ya.eh.
My dad skidded logs with a Clark 664 in the early 1980s. Heck of a beast to be so small.
Is that a Clark 664 ?
yes
That's a little kids bike helmet
Why skidders so damn low geard?
Power to move weight and climb. My loader is the same way, max 3 mph in1st gear.
