Guys if you are a car guy or a bike guy, then must have heard one phrase that..."there is no replacement for displacement" Indeed thar produce more Horsepower and torque, no one can deny that Thar is a great capable SUV...but it has a smaller engine when compared to THE FORCE GURKHA....
Anyways, no biased verdict, Both SUVs are unique in their own way...But I find GURKHA to be more appealing....
Only need to change the back shape sometime look like Tata sumo ..if improve the back shape, sure cars lover will run for Gurkha.
This car needs to upgrade engine and improve ground clearance. 5 seater is must. Tyre size min 18 inches. Gear 6/automatic 6 speed

Force has bought rights to Mercedes Benz OM 616 Engine. The 5 cylinder version is best but Its used in high end Traveller Van. For a Gurkha ideal Engine is OM 648 3500 CC with Automatic ZF gear box. Gurkha failed since it is over priced under powered and a Trax in Burkha.
Just wait for second gen Gurkha or 5 door version , it'll come with modern day basic features like steering mounted controls and increased bhp

I like Gurkha, I own Scorpio old generation DX 2.6 CRDi... Want to upgrade...could Gurkha be good on highway (mix i do 110km speed but long trip of 1K in ever quarter)....?
It's fantastic vehicle. I did lot of long road trips recently leh Ladakh. Yes it's very comfortable at 110 km/hr

Steering issue is there. Power is optimum. At least, over 100kmph, you'll feel confident. Paper and real life differs. Fit and Finish I expected to be better, but chalo it's ok. Ground clearance was better before. But this time they messed with that particular section by leaving everything on their own. If they could make it plain and clear, or increased the ground clearance by 30-70mm, it'd be better. Many people may argue that the mm suggested is equal to your pinky finger, but in off-road that matters.
Overall look is subjective, however I like the design.

This off roader is grossly unde powered. 250 torque and 90 bhp is way too less. No EBD, ESP given. It's just a iron box nothing else.
Its all gear box game. HP doesn't matter much if gear ratio is designed to deliver power rather then speed. And Gurkha is not a regular use SUV like safari, Scorpio and fortuner.

I have it gurkha not good car... fog lights are not giving good vision at night bet difficult to drive at night, average is 5.5 to 6.5 km, pick up is not good, service is not available, engine is not silent.
