I'm just about to do both mine that snapped in the middle at the same time. Thankfully I was pull off the drive at 5mph. You made that easy enough, give me the confidence to tackle the job.
Good job. You were lucky with the U-Bolts being that easy to get off. I wish I had cut mine off with a grinder they were a nightmare. One snapped off in the hole. I spent ages hammering the U-Bolts out of the axle.
Legend! Mines snapped in exactly the same place like you said, doesn’t look to bad of a job another £100 spent after replacing a 2nd turbo this year, just doing all the work myself now as mechanics always seem to rip me off
@@Flatcap50 there is that and the last bloke who changed my turbo before didn’t have the right gasket so put the old one back on but he had snapped it so he put half a gasket on 🤦🏻♂️😭 I thought it didn’t feel as powerful then I thought I was imagining it
Hi mate if im only doing 1 side for mot i take it i dont need to put axle on 2 stands just leave opposite wheel on. And jack body up on 1 side im fitting spring or middle like you did ?

Some are easier than others, i have had your problem before it is a pain.

Not too bad of a job to do yourself. Saves you a lot of money some garages do seem to pick prices from telephone numbers.
