Sure like the "Precision" these guys use on this SIDEWALK repair. They are "Masters " with alignment and hammering--such a smooth touch. Realy liked the "cord-less" wirewheel reconditioning "technique ". No sense in getting too fancy, just "got" to get-er-done. Bet these Guys don't know what a "numb-tendo" or "baby-doll Cellular phone " IS! A Great Vidio on "how to WORK".
Once a spring fail better to replace it... Or go for a professional to repair it... Spring repairs usually require heat treatments so as to relieve stresses and impacts by a metal hammer as shown in video are just causing plastic deformation that reduces the lifecycle and causes strain hardening...which eventually results into a crack formation and total failure.. That is the reason why heat treatment is necessary so that the stresses can be removed and the spring can perform even in the extreme conditions for which it was designed.
Metal probably get hot enough by setting it out in the sun for a few hours, I know I know it's not a torch but could get hot enough to almost burn your hand just from laying in the sun
I imagine the grease in the bushing simply helps ease them into the eye and makes sure the pin/bolt that goes through the centre doesn’t snag and deform the rubber when reinstalling.
TLDR: one of the many worst idea in the world being spread on social media! Long From: being able to bend spring steal like this means its clearly already failing! This is side of the road snake oil that make you feel that you got a good deal and all is great. there is zero pression work being down here. No thought on the other systems of the car that are being adversely effected that's is helping to lighten your pockets. No thought on the alignment that will now eat through more tiers, the bearings having loads that should not be there, your shocks working more and having as a shorter life, and for that mater your life and the occupants because now you are compromising your car, because with out a doubt if this is what they do with springs, i am sure they do worse to the rest of your car. And my qualifications on this matters? two of my ex employees taking the $500 for new suspensions parts, giving a guy on road $100 to bang on some metal and paint it , then pocketing $200 between them and the wondering a week later how to explain why they need an emergency tow out after the pack brake on a serious off road track in the middle of Africa had to hike 4 hours to get cell signal. At the end of the day, trust your gut, the guy on the side of the road with a hammer, or the guy in a shop with the expensive equipment and years of experience that can make these things. your life is worth more than your pocket being full of cash.

Thats how its done, one way or another. Nice!
What amazed me is, they don't need heavy sophisticated equipment to do their job perfectly!

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also need tampering after hammering other wise this will only work for little while 🙏

These people are poor. They do with what they have. Getting a few more miles out of springs is easier than buying new springs and going hungry.
Correct, tempering a leaf spring by hammering cause to failure in the spring in the long run
Very nice 👍👍👍👍
Good job!
Lovely people x
What a thing to say lol
Somebody get my man a Dickey’s jumpsuit.
Good mashallah
I can hear all of the Mechanics watching this screaming at their monitors from here.
Apparently metal fatigue isn't a thing there. That spring steel is going to fail catastrophically at some point if you just keep doing this.
That ain’t goin no where
Nope
Very nice mashallah
Perfecto!
Brand new!!!
Buenos !!!
Thx
Centre bolt up side down grease on rubber not good but if it is rubber grease well thats okay good effort.
grease actually ruins the 5160 material the spring is made out of. Plastic pads on the ends works the best.
It was rubber lube he used
@@brendanlawlor1906 liquid rubber?

What dod they fix? What was wrong with it? Was something broken? It looked good to me.
They re arched them individually when taken apart- with the sledge hammer.
it`s not properly done it. they should heating the material first, and the anvil should be not flat
I don't think the anvil was flat at the point he was sliding the leafs across but I could be wrong

Truck 🚒🚛 ka U bolt kholne aur tiet Karne mechine ka kohi jugad hey ??????
Can they build a work bench 🧐
Great skills with accuracy but the grease in the rubber bush is a small part of ignorance
Hardly need to put a grease on rubber or jelly bushing to avoid damag and noice....
I imagine the grease in the bushing simply helps ease them into the eye and makes sure the pin/bolt that goes through the centre doesn’t snag and deform the rubber when reinstalling.
Looked like dirty oil
Quality work, just remember to grease yer anvil too.....don't want it blowing a seal...
Lol.....
